He said three other policemen attached to the bullion van were injured.
He said the bullion van was carrying money from Jos to Lafia in Nasawara State.
“It was a clear case of ambush; they were attacked unexpectedly.
“Policemen escorting the bullion van repelled the attack; unfortunately we lost two of our men on the spot, while three other were badly injured,” Mr. Tyopev told NAN.
The PPRO however stated that the robbers were not able to cart away money from the bullion van “because our men responded vigorously; they reacted firmly,” he said, adding that the police had commenced investigation to arrest the gun men. (NAN)

Tyrant Kim Jong-un has hailed DOG MEAT as a superfood

Tyrant Kim Jong-un has hailed DOG MEAT as a superfood to try and encourage more of his starving population to eat pups.

The North Korean leader is encouraging everyone to eat more dog meat, suggesting it contains more vitamins than chicken, beef, pork and duck.

Sickeningly, the state's propaganda channel even claims that torturing a dog to death improves its taste.

According to North Korean YouTube propaganda channel DPRK Today, the dish is a traditional "stamina food" and is good for the stomach and intensines.

The Korea Times reports that the channel encourages people to beat the dog to death, before removing its fur and scorching it. Several other media outlets in North Korea have also lauded dog meat as a nutritional option, with radio station Tongil Voice describing puppy stew as "medicine".

Despot Kim has warned his people they may have to go on "an arduous march" - the name for the four-year famine which killed millions in the 1990s.

The obese dictator loves gorging on European cheese and fine wines while two-thirds of his people struggle to survive on reduced state food handouts.

The Kardashian girls deny sleeping with The Game, maybe Kim, but not Khloe and Kourtney

The Kardashian girls have reacted to rapper The Game's claim that he slept with three Kardashian girls. He made the claim in a song titled 'Sauce'. The source says he was wrong about at least two.

TMZ reports below...

"Sources close to the Kardashians tell us you can count out KylieKendallKhloe,Kourtney and Kris ... none of them had sex with Game. The sources acknowledge Kimdated Game back in the day ... so that one's on the table for discussion, but that's it.
Khloe and Game have been pals for years, but the Kardashian sources are adamant ... strictly platonic.
That said, there's an interesting nugget. Game reached out to Kanye to get his blessing for the song, and Kanye said he didn't have a dog in the fight. Interesting ... Game didn't call Kim.
But ... we know Game sticks by his story. He nailed 3 of them.

Three Suspected Land Grabbers Arrested In Lagos

The police in have paraded three men alleged to be land grabbers in Lagos State. The suspects, Igbokun Ogunkoya, 40, Ayoola Ahmed, 20 and Lateef Alase, 44 were arrested on Sunday at Alade village in Ikeja.

They were alleged to have forcibly entered and willfully damaged a property before detectives rounded them up based on tip off.

But the suspects who denied the allegations against them, said they were contracted by the owner of the property, one Abayomi, to excavate an abandoned foundation.

According to Ogunkoya who spoke on behalf of the three, he was a registered contractor and invited the other two to work for him after the said Abayomi contracted him for the job.

“We are not land grabbers and we have never been. I am a contractor and I invited them to work for me. Ahmed was operating the tractor and Alase works for me. We started work there on Saturday. It was the owner, one Abayomi who gave us the job and that Saturday many policemen from the Special Anti-Robbery Sqaud (SARS) were on ground.

“We worked on Saturday and returned on Sunday to continue work. There were three policemen there with us still. It was while we were working that some policemen came and said we were land grabbers. That we were not authorised to do that work. They arrested the policemen with us that they were on illegal duty but since then, we have not seen the three policemen,” he said.

Parading the suspects, Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni said the command will use them as example against land grabbers.

He said: “This is to demonstrate the command’s resolve to completely stamp out the madness of land grabbers. The law against land grabbing will be strictly enforced and the command will work in unison with the Taskforce established to contain the menace. The suspects will be arraigned in court.”

Photo: Two Arrested For Vandalising NITEL Cables

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly vandalising Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) underground cables in Ikeja, the state capital.

The suspects Taofeek Babatunde (33) and Ibrahim Sise were paraded yesterday at the command headquarters in Ikeja.

They were also accused of offering N500,000 bribe to the policemen who caught them.

Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni said the suspects were caught by anti-crime patrol team of the Ikeja Police Division.

He said: “They were caught vandalising, cutting, stealing and loading NITEL cables into a truck on Works Road junction beside the Lagos State High Court. When the suspects were accosted, they offered to the bribe the policemen to cover up their crime. They offered N500,000 and, of course, the policemen played along with them and collected the money.

“They arrested the suspects after collecting the money, which you can see right here. On counting the money, it was discovered that it amounted to N493,500 and the policemen, in furtherance to the call of responsible and effective policing by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), turned down the gratification.

“Those policemen stood their ground, although they played along as if they were going to collect the money, which they handed over to their Divisional Police Officer (DPO). The N493,500 offered as bribe, the Volvo truck with which they were about to cart away the vandalised cables, the saw blades they used as tools for cutting those underground cables and, of course, the cables that have been loaded in to the truck, were recovered and would be used as exhibits.

Efforts are on to arrest the third suspect, Wasiu Salami, who is on the run. The two suspects we have will be arraigned before the court on Tuesday.”

Sise denied being a vandal, saying he was a scrap dealer who usually bought items in quantities from some men.

According to him, he did not know his customers usually stole the items they sold to him.

Sise said he was only told by the same group of boys that they had a big business for him.

He said: “Some guys usually sold scraps to me but in little quantities, about N3,000 or N5,000. I don’t really know much about these guys, but I know they live at Apapa. They came to me on Sunday and said they wanted to bring a big business for me. But they requested for a huge amount of money, which I refused to give them.

“I insisted on accompanying them to the place. So, on getting there, I already knew it wasn’t legal. I asked them how they planned to do it and they said they were doing it with a police patrol team. Even before we left, they made me speak with the policemen.

“We went in the night. I saw the patrol team and the boys. I do not know how to cut; I only buy and sell. So, I just left there and went to a club at Ikeja under bridge. After two hours, I went back and saw that they had finished the job.

“We were packing the cables into the truck when another patrol team came. The two patrol teams met there. I’m saying the truth. So, the patrol team that arrested me was discussing with the patrol team we were with already.

“Our patrol team came to me and asked how much I could afford to give those people to settle them. I said they should negotiate with them and that any amount they agreed. We agreed that they would come and meet me and I would give them, if I had it with me.

“Later, he came to me and said I should give him N300,000. At that time, I had only N250,000. I had to go back and get money to complete it. I came back and gave them the money. The boys who stole the cable and loaded the vehicle were still around when I brought the money.

“The police told the driver to drive the vehicle to the station. We followed, even with the boys. When we got there, he (a policeman) said he would take N500,000 and I didn’t have any more money. I had to go back that night to knock on people’s doors to beg for money, just because I wanted to settle it. I came back, gave him the balance of N200,000, which is the money here.

“After collecting the money, he said I should stay with the driver that in the morning, when the DPO comes, we would talk. I stayed till the DPO came, and that was it. The police didn’t arrest the boys.

They went away scot-free. I have been doing this business for 13 years now. I have never been to a police station. I don’t know if this was a trap set for me.”

The driver, Babatunde, said he was promised N30,000 to drive the truck, adding that he agreed because he was told some policemen were part of the arrangement.

Soldiers pluck out Road Safety Officer's Eye for begging them to stop torturing a man (Graphic photos)

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Segun Enikuemehin, who dared to ask some military men who were assaulting a civilian to desist from such a dastardly act is currently at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) with one of his eyes totally damaged.
According to Sahara Reporters, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when Mr. Enikuemehin came upon the military men beating a harmless civilian.
Convinced that the military officials would beat the man to death if nothing was done, he reportedly walked up the angry soldiers and pleaded that they let the man go or hand him over to the police if he had done something illegal.

The military men would not take such effrontery lightly as they descended on the Good Samaritan and started beating him as well.

But not even the beating from the soldiers would discourage him, and he managed amidst his own beating to rescue the already battered man, whom he then took to the Adekunle Police station at Ebute Metta.

Thereafter, Mr. Enikuemehin led the police back to the venue of the incident. Upon sighting him in the company of the policemen, the soldiers, who were by that time already cooling off at a nearby beer parlor, became even enraged and descended on Mr. Enikuemehin, during which they eye was plucked out.

The damaged eye was reportedly picked from the ground and the man rushed down to the General Hospital.  Rejected upon arrival by that hospital, the blinded man reportedly asked that he be taken to LUTH.

Meanwhile, the soldiers, upon realizing what they had done, were said to have taken to their heels but were overtaken by residents and handed over to the police.

The story got messier when a relative of the stabbed Federal Road Safety Officer went back to the police station only to find that the military men had already been released by the police. While still digesting that development, one of the accused soldiers walked into the station in the company of a senior officer who was identified as Captain Okoli.

Speaking to SaharaReporters, Mr. Enikuemehin’s Uncle, Prince Ojatunwse Oluwajoba, said the DPO of Adekunle Police Station informed him when he got there that the soldier who stabbed his nephew had been handed over to the military authorities. He said that soldier, who had been in civilian clothes when the incident happened, arrived at the police station with Captain Okoli to collect his identity card and other personal effects that had been taken from him at the station.

According to Mr. Oluwajobaa, doctors at LUTH are now saying his nephew’s left eye has been completely damaged and that the second eye might be affected as well if proper medical care is not given.
