Woman Gets Revenge On Ex By Setting Fire To His Car.. But Got The Wrong Vehicle

A furious girlfriend got revenge on her ex boyfriend by torching his car - but she didn't realise she got the wrong vehicle.

CCTV shows a woman dressed in shorts and a t-shirt shoving pieces of paper into the boot of a Honda and setting it on fire .

As the fire rages, the woman casually walks away.

But police believe she got the wrong car - as the owner of the Honda, Thomas Jennings, said he has no idea who the woman is.

Jennings's roommate was the first to spot the vehicle on fire and alerted his pal.

The pair then rushed out with pots of water in an attempt to put out the fire, but Jennings told ABC Action News it was "too much." The woman was also spotted on separate CCTV footage earlier that day looking into another vehicle.

Carmen Chamblee, 19, was arrested Saturday morning near Clearwater in Florida and charged with second-degree arson.

Chamblee told police she believed the vehicle belonged to her ex boyfriend.

She was scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Sunday morning.

OAP Lawal Eniola set to marry guy she met on okada (photos)

Media personality Lawal Eniola is set to marry a man she met on Okada on her way to the mosque for Muslim fellowship.
The UNILAG FM on-air-personality (OAP) shared her story on Instagram hours ago.

She wrote: “We met in April 2011 on the bike, funny right? I was on my way to the Muslim Fellowship that Sunday morning, my mum and neighbor skipped, out of anger I decided to take a bike, I was on the bike when I saw this face that looked extremely familiar on another bike, sighting me he looked shocked and waved at me casually , as a very respectful girl (don’t count on it lol) because he looked older than I am, I waved back and bent my head to greet him at the same time, two seconds after I forgot I saw anyone until my bike arrived at the fellowship and I saw his bike parked, “no wonder he looked familiar I thought, he’s a member here too “, while dragging Balance issues with my bike-man, he looked finished with his but was waiting.”

“So he said “Hi”, I looked at him thoroughly and said to myself, looks like this person wants to lose the brother I would willingly put behind whatever his name is…any way I said Hello and he said I called you yesterday you didn’t pick up, (I’ve not even met this human being, how did he get my number) I didn’t ask him how he got my number, I just simply told him I didn’t know him and zero chance I got his call.

He said he wanted to see me (what kind of devil is this, he wants to toast me right before I go to talk to my God), I don’t have time I snapped! That was it…until after a month after when I got his call again and he told me his name, and asked to see me again.”

“I agreed to see him at the fellowship, when egbon started his story, “Been watching you for over a year now, I think you’re different bla bla bla (I was dating someone else so I knew his story was just gonna be another cool one and he will end up getting a NO), however I wasn’t able to tell him my NO that day. .. Months passed, we stayed friends, (FYI I called him”bro Dipo” all that period, checked up on each other once in a while , never had the intention of dating him until he pulled a surprise stunt on me like 6 months after, gosh! I loved him that day, I remember how much I wanted to hug him after the surprise but my pride, ego everything didn’t allow me.”

That was how Bro Dipo became Dipo. Eniola continued her narration when she explained the surprise: “The surprise was ‘he had been out of town, so he called me up that Saturday to check up on me, said he was still out of town and didn’t know when he would be back. Following day, Sunday in the middle of our fellowship service, I saw him…I was utterly surprised, happy and delighted to see him, that little gesture was a whole lot.

Few months after we started dating, September 2012 I guess… He eventually lost the “bro” title. Lol Two months ago, on my birthday (Sunday, 19th of June) he asked me to marry him. I’m glad I didn’t get to say NO to him when he asked me out in the first place. And I will say YES, over and over again. We don’t have a date yet, but we will be ringing our wedding bell real soon.”

ABANDONED LOOT | Alamieyeseigha’s N2.8b hotel rots away in Abuja

Almost seven years after the EFCC handed over the N2.8billion Chelsea Hotel to the government of Bayelsa State, the hitherto money-spinning edifice is rotting away in Abuja.

The hotel was seized from the state’s first civilian governor, the late Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.

A Federal High Court, Lagos in 2007 ordered the forfeiture of the hotel by Alamieyeseigha after the ex-governor was sentenced for corruption.

Besides the hotel, the EFCC sold other Alamieyeseigha assets in Nigeria and realised N3,128,230; 294.83billion; $441,000; E7,000 and £2,000.

The money was remitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in accordance with the law, for onward delivery to the state government as ordered by the court.

Former EFCC Chairman Mrs. Farida Waziri on September 7, 2009 handed over the hotel to ex-Governor Timipreye Sylva in Abuja. The thinking was that it would be a source of revenue for the state.

Seven years after the asset was returned to the state government, the hotel has become a haven for miscreants, men of the underworld, rodents and reptiles.

Shady activities are being perpetrated at the abandoned hotel, which poses danger to some shopping malls and banks in the Central Business District of Abuja.

Some of the miscreants have stripped the hotel of vital materials, which has no security.

An EFCC source told The Nation in confidence: “As at the time we handed over the hotel, in 2009, the asset was worth N2.8billion. We returned the hotel to Bayelsa State with another asset at No. 2 Marscibit Street, Off Aminu Kano Crescent Wuse II Abuja which was valued at N210million.

“We took a step further by instructing Diya Fatimilehin and Co., former managers of the hotel to provide the state with detailed inventory of assets of the hotel.”

“It is unfortunate that nothing has been done in the last seven years. The land where the hotel is sited attracts either up to N800million to N1billion in Abuja. Yet the asset is allowed to lie fallow

“To the source, the fate of the once throwing hotel is a typical case of how the anti-graft war is being “frustrated and rendered meaningless”

“A former Chairman of EFCC, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu worked day and night to bring Alamieyeseigha to justice but the efforts have come to naught,” he said.

Asked if the EFCC can query the state government on why the hotel has been abandoned, the source said: “Well, there is not much we can do because we have done our best.

“The state’s funds were looted and used to buy the hotel; we traced the loot and recovered the assets. It is left to the state to live up to its pledge to make judicious use of the asset or sell it.

“We have been expecting a status report from Bayelsa State on how it has spent the recovered funds and the utilisation of the returned assets.”

Upon the receipt of the hotel in 2009, Sylva said: “The Bayelsa State Government will not be able to manage the assets by itself. The fund that the state government will receive will also go to building what is called the Transparency Plaza, in the middle of the Yenagoa Central Business District, so that this plaza will be a monument that will be a constant reminder of today.

”As soon as the fund is accessed, we will like to ask you to come to Bayelsa State to lay the foundation of this plaza.

“We will welcome your close monitoring of the expenditure of this fund, after all without the instrumentality of EFCC, we would not have accessed this fund, so it is only good that you know exactly what we are doing. We are running an open government; our budget is on the website, anybody can access it. We are fully committed to transparency and to partner fully with EFCC.”

As at press time, rodents, reptiles, rodents, miscreants, drug addicts have taken over the hotel.

It was gathered that many posh cars and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) massed up in darkness at the hotel at night for what a source described as “nocturnal deals”.

A concerned banker said: “The activities of some miscreants at the old hotel premises constitute security threats to commercial entities in CBD, including choice malls and banks nearby. Security agencies and the police should have more than a passing interest in some activities at the old hotel."

After she's caught smoking, Obama's daughter made to wear Tee-Shirt - 'Smoking Kills'

Apparently her parents, Barrack and Michelle Obama, were not happy to see their daughter Malia in the social media, flaunting her smoking skills.

Malia had to wear a tee-shirt with the words 'Smoking kills' on it at a music festival in Philadelphia yesterday - just weeks after puffing on a suspicious cigarette at Chicago's Lollapalooza.

She was pictured with a friend at the Budweiser Made in America Festival, with the wise message displayed on the front of her top. At least, she can't smoke with those words boldly on her body.

The Obamas really got worried when the 18-year-old was pictured smoking at the Lollapalooza, with a witness claiming her cigarette contained marijuana.

A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the accident happened at 9am on Monday.

Woman Kidnap 2 Sibling in Lagos

There was confusion at Ojuwoye Market, in the Mushin area of Lagos on Saturday after a suspected female kidnapper was nabbed by residents. It was learnt that the suspect had refused to disclose either her name or address.

The lady would have been lynched but for the intervention of policemen from the Olosan division.

According to Punch, the mother of the children Modinat, a trader in the market, had laid the children, identified as Hammed Rasheed (six years old) and Farida Raheed (two years old), on the floor.

She was reportedly attending to a customer when the suspect took them away.

It was said that a resident, who knew the mother of the children, challenged the suspect and raised the alarm when she could not give a satisfactory response.

A witness, Saheed Bayedun, said, “The kid’s mother is a trader in the market. She left the children to attend to a customer. The kidnapper, who is about 22 years old, sneaked in and took them away before the mother suspected anything.

“She used a piece of cloth on the floor to strap the younger girl, Farida, to her back, and held Hammed by the hand. She was escaping from the vicinity when someone challenged her.

“The person raised the alarm when she couldn’t give a satisfactory response. A mob gathered and rescued the children before beating her to a pulp.

“She asked for palm oil, but nobody gave her. She later confessed that there were six of them recruited to kidnap children. She said they all came from Osogbo, Osun State, and were mandated to abduct eight children each. She said she had already abducted six children and was about getting the remaining two when she was caught.”

Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident:
“At about 12pm on Saturday, two children were allegedly abducted by the suspect at Ojuwoye Market. However, the mother alerted the police. The kidnapper was trailed and arrested with one of the victims on her back. They were rescued and reunited with their family. The suspect, who refused to give her name and address, is now in police custody and undergoing interrogation.”

We won't accept another Fuel Price Increase in this hard times – Nigerians Vow

The Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, Afenifere, former federal lawmakers, security experts and rights activists, have all vowed to resist any attempt by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to further increase fuel price.

They stated this in separate interviews with Punch against the background that former and present bosses of the NNPC said that the current pump price of N145 per litre, is no longer feasible.

Past and present Group Managing Directors of the NNPC, unanimously declared on Saturday that the current N145 per litre price of fuel was no longer realistic.

They said the amount does not correspond with the price determining components of the commodity and the fluctuations of the foreign exchange rate.

They stated this after a one-day meeting they held with the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, in Abuja.

The NNPC in its statement said, “They (the GMDs) noted that the petrol price of N145/litre is not congruent with the liberalisation policy especially with the foreign exchange rate and other price determining components such as crude cost, Nigerian Ports Authority charges, etc remaining uncapped.”

This declaration of NNPC present and past bosses confirmed a report by Punch in August in which oil marketers revealed that the actual/real cost of petrol was N151.87 when all pricing components are adequately captured.

The marketers had stated that they were struggling to maintain petrol price at N145 per litre because of the stiff competition in the downstream oil sector, but stressed that the practice was not sustainable.

The GMDs, however, commended the NNPC for resolving the fuel supply crisis and urged the corporation to come up with measures that will ensure sustenance of seamless supply of petroleum products nationwide.

According to the corporation, the GMDs expressed concerns about the declining crude oil production level and its consequences on the environment and the nation’s revenue.

They further agreed that if the current situation remains unchecked, it could lead to the crippling of the corporation and the nation’s oil and gas sector which is the mainstay of the Nigerian economy.

However, the Nigeria Labour Congress on Saturday warned the President Muhammadu Buhari administration not to contemplate any further increase in the pump price of petroleum products in the country

General Secretary of the NLC, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, who stated this in an interview with Punch, said Nigerians would not accept further fuel price increment.

Ozo-Eson had warned government last week against any increasing in the pump price of petroleum products in the country.

Ozo-Eson said that it was also up to Nigerians to decide whether to allow being subjected to the incessant increase in the fuel pump price or not.

He said, “We had given a warning before that Nigerians cannot take any further increase, that they shouldn’t do it.

“That remains our position, and if they go ahead and do it, it is up to Nigerians to say how they want to respond to it. But we remain opposed to any new increase in the price of petroleum product.”

Also the President of the Trade Union Congress, Bala Kaigama, warned government not to take Nigerians for granted because there was no paliatiative in place.

He said, “Nigerians have been taken for granted a couple of times by the Buhari’s government but things would be different this time around. We would fight this modern day slavery.”

The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, said the masses would resist the hike. “There is a limit to which you can tax poverty, it is only prosperity you can continue to make demands on.

“If you are unable to provide an enabling environment for people to improve their lives and you continue to tax them wantonly, you risk the rage of the poor,” he said.

On his part, a 2nd Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed said "I am highly suspicious about NNPC GMD’s coming up with this suggestion now. Are they saying Nigerians have not suffered enough?”

The Executive Director of the Civil Society Legislative and Advocacy Centre: Awual Musa Rafsanjani, said, the Buhari government is taking Nigerians for granted. This government must not take Nigerians for granted,” he stressed.

Also a security consultant, Ben Okezie, said the government was pushing Nigerians to the brink with the planned fuel hike, noting that Buhari may be forced out of power, if he was not careful.

Cleric who defraud people desperate for marriage confesses

37yrs old Muritala Oladipupo calls himself an itinerant Islamic preacher who also attends to people who come to him for consultations on spiritual matters.

But going by the revelation of one Mutiat Azeez, who said that the self-acclaimed preacher swindled her on the pretext of praying for her, Oladipupo would have a lot of explanations to make to police detectives at the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Oyo State Police Command where he is currently undergoing interrogations.

According to Crime Reports, the cleric was arrested in a mosque in Ibadan on August 28 after Azeez told the police that he defrauded her of N700,000 when she was deceived into believing that he was an Islamic preacher who could help her with prayers to solve spiritual problems.

According to information gathered, Oladipupo adopted a method of proposing love to a potential victim so that it would be easy for him to penetrate her. He reportedly used this method with the victim and collected some money from her before his arrest.

When interviewed by Crime Reports, the suspect confirmed the allegation, disclosing that he learnt the method from two men, Abdulwaheed and Ola Shehu, whom he met at a mechanic workshop.

Speaking with Crime Reports, he said: “I was a Quranic teacher but later became an itinerant Islamic preacher delivering sermons. I fell into trouble when my former girlfriend asked me to carry out some rites for her to attack someone who swindled her. She became angry when she did not get the expected result.

“I knew her about seven years ago and I expressed interest in her. I collected N360,000 from her but I also borrowed her N100,000. It is not true that I took N700,000 from her. The money she gave me was to buy the ingredients that would be needed for the prayers and the rites to be performed.

“It was Waheed who introduced the idea of deceiving women by proposing marriage to them so that they could be easily swindled. The victim would be disclosing her problems which I would capitalise on to obtain money from her. Waheed said he gave the advice because most clients are not usually appreciative after getting solutions to their problems. I used to share the money given to me with the two men.”

Oladipupo confessed to being a fraudster and spoke on how the lady was taken to a river in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, to bathe in a river. The suspect also said he invited two female syndicate members, Seun and Abibat, who dressed like white witches and prayed for the victim at the river side.

“It is true I took her to Ekiti to have a spiritual bath to cure her of bad dreams. I asked Seun and Abibat to join her at the river side because they were women. They prayed for her and I paid them N10,000 each. They were introduced to me by one Ahmad who is also a fraudster based in Ado Ekiti. I knew Ahmad through Waheed and Ola Shehu,” he stated.

The victim was also reportedly taken to a shrine at Moniya area of Ibadan where a pipe was laid underground and someone at one end spoke into it, the sound of which echoed like that of a spirit at the other end of the pipe in a room.

Narrating how she met the suspect, the victim said he was in his vehicle at Olorunsogo area of Ibadan when he saw her and called her. This was confirmed by the suspect who said “I proposed love to her and she accepted. In the course of our relationship, she revealed her problems to me and asked me to pray for her and do other rites that would make her overcome them. I told her that I would help her solve her problems and started getting money from her through this.”

The man, who is said to be one of the assistants working with a popular Islamic preacher in Ibadan, disclosed that his boss did not know he was into fraud.

Police say he would be charged to court.
