Brazil-based Nigerian hairstylist arrested with cocaine hidden in her bra (Photos)

Nnaji Juliet Ijeoma, 30 who hails from Enugu state was arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos on Friday. She was caught with the illicit drug at the airport during the inward screening of South African Airways.
A statement by the spokesman of NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju said that the suspect had attempted to bring in the drug into the country from Brazil. Ofoyeju hinted that the suspected white powdery substance tested positive for cocaine with a gross weight of 535 grams.

Commenting on the arrest, the NDLEA Commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba  said that the incident is being investigated and immediately the agency was through with its investigation Ms. Ijeoma would be charged to court for prosecution.

He explained that the suspect holds a National Diploma holder in Mass Communication and confessed that she took part in the illicit business because she needed money for her business. She allegedly confessed,

“I work as a hair stylist in Brazil where l reside for the past two years. I studied mass communication, but because of lack of job, I work as a hair stylist in Brazil. I was approached to smuggle cocaine to Nigeria and I accepted because of the money involved.

“I needed money for my personal problem. The drug was prepared inside brassiere and given to me to put on. I did not know how it was packaged. My role was to smuggle the drug to Nigeria and collect the sum of N1 million.”

"I now fake orgasms"-Kemi Olunloyo Kick against female circumcision.

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo has narrated how she was circumcised when she was a little girl. She says a razor blade was used and no anaesthetic was administered for the pain. She also added she bled close to a week, and as a result, years later she fakes orgasms during sex.

Female circumcision involves cutting off the clitoris and parts of the labia minora.

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo still remembers the secluded area behind the Oja Oba market in Ibadan, capital of Nigeria's Oyo state, where she was subjected to female genital mutilation (FGM).

Olunloyo, now a renowned journalist in Nigeria, was five-years-old when her family took her and her sister to visit an old man, who made the two girls lay on his laps "and then cut part of our vagina and clitoral area off."

Nearly 50 years later, memories of the encounter that would leave an indelible mark in Olunloyo's life are still vivid in her mind.

"There was no anaesthetic and a sharp razor blade was used. I remember my sister and I screaming afterwards. We went home bleeding in diapers and, for a week, it was like we were little girls with menstrual periods. My mom was bathing us and diapering us. Deep down, mom was not happy for some reason," Olunloyo told IBTimes UK.

After years of resentment towards her mother, Olunloyo finally confronted her in 2012. "She burst into tears telling me that our late paternal grandmother ordered my dad to have us do it," she explained.

"This tradition is over 70-years-old. Our grandmother was a traditional Muslim woman who dictated many rules to her young son, my dad."

Lifelong repercussions
Some women and girls who undergo FGM, have their entire genitalia cut and "sewn closed."

Olunloyo's genitalia were only partially removed, meaning she did not experience difficulties while giving birth.

However, the psychological and physical consequences of the mutilation still linger in her life.

"Calling it an operation is nothing. It was a cultural barbaric act used to decrease the female libido. It caused me post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for life," she said.

"I don't experience orgasm during sex and when I tried to promote the use of sex toys among Nigerian women, men started attacking me saying I was discouraging African women 'from the real thing'.

"Sex is not important. I have no libido or urge to have sex and I've been celibate for 10 years. Millions of women in Nigeria go through this, but they cannot talk or be outspoken like me. It is shameful and a disgrace to them," she continued.

"Many women say they fake orgasms and others have husbands who go out to prostitutes and girlfriends. FGM has destroyed marriages here."
On the practice and prevalence of FMG in Nigeria, she said

"Oyo state still practices it . Only the Ijebus people across the Yorubaland where I am from in Nigeria don't do it at all."

"My message to girls who have been through it is to stay strong and get into support groups. I would like to be a UN Ambassador and travel around Africa forming support groups in communities and educating girls about sex education the right way, instead of cutting part of their genitals off causing a lifelong traumatic problem," she concluded.

Nekede Poly student begs lecturer For Pass Mark With Sex Via Answer Script

A Female female student of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo State thought she could get better grades by offering sex to her lecturer. Perhaps the lecturer is one of these stony faced sorts, so instead of approaching him directly, she wrote her offer, in barely legible handwriting, on her answer sheet during examinations.

See How Ikeja-Based Multinational Roofing Materials Company Was Busted While Importing Cocaine Worth N2bn

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has confirmed that the substance found in a container imported by an Ikeja-based multinational roofing materials company (names withheld) is cocaine.

In an exclusive chat with Vanguard, the Head of Public Affairs of NDLEA, Mitchell Ofoyeju, said the drug was worth over N2 billion. He said that the substance weighed 214.732kg and that investigation had begun.

It will be recalled that the Tin-Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, said it discovered a substance suspected to be cocaine in one of the seven containers brought into the country by the firm.

Customs Area Controller, Tin-Can Island, Comptroller Yusuf Bashir, who briefed newsmen after the arrest, had said that the substance would be forwarded to NDLEA, for proper testing. Comptroller Yussuf said officers of the command had received intelligence report on one out of the seven containers imported by the company. He said the other items inside the container were declared correctly, but that the sack containing the suspected drugs was not declared on the cargo manifest.

Aluko Spill More Salt To Fresh Wound..Obanikoro Put $5.37m in Military Trunk For Fayose

About 24 hours ago, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State cried out that Obanikoro is compromised as an indirect way of challenging some of the confessions he's said to have made to the EFCC.

Fast forward to now, one of Fayose's closest men, a former PDP Secretary in Ekiti, Dr. Tope Aluko, has told EFCC of how ex-Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, handed over $5.377m cash to Governor Ayo Fayose.

He confessed that the cash, which was put in a green military trunk by the ex-minister, was given to Fayose in the presence of nine PDP elders.

He listed those who witnessed the collection by Fayose...
A former Secretary to the State Government, a senator, two members of the House of Assembly, a former Director-General and others.

Aluko, it was learnt, had one-and-a half hours hostile encounter with Obanikoro. Upon receiving the large suit case (box) and a key to open it, he said, Fayose and Obanikoro retired into an inner room of Spotless Hotel for a brief discussion.

Aluko made the revelation during a grilling by the EFCC team against the backdrop of the ongoing probe of how Obanikoro shared the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
The N4.685bn was transferred to Sylva McNamara Ltd. out of which $5.377m cash was personally given to Fayose by Obanikoro.

Obanikoro had also confessed to EFCC team that he gave Fayose the cash in the presence of PDP elders, including Dr. Tope Aluko.

According to a source, Aluko told the detectives: “The ex-minister brought the $5.377million cash to Spotless Hotel for Fayose in a green military trunk. He was accompanied by four military men.

“Obanikoro handed over the trunk and a key to Fayose in the presence of nine eminent PDP elders in the state.

“Holding a piece of paper, Obanikoro later entered into an inner room in the hotel for a discussion with Fayose. Maybe the paper was for Fayose to acknowledge the receipt of the cash.

“Upon coming out, Fayose opened the trunk with the key and we all saw it was filled with dollars. We had a list of how we wanted to use the money but we had not expended the Naira cash at hand.

Fayose, who asked me to call other PDP leaders, later took the trunk to his room at the hotel for safe keeping. That was the last we heard about the cash.”

Breaking News-Buhari Orders Probe His Wife's Family

...Aisha still not back to Aso Rock?
Indications are that the troubles bedeviling Nigeria's first family maybe far from over judging by the demeanor of the President and the body language instruction dished out to the anti-graft agencies.

A highly reliable source stated that the EFCC has opened a comprehensive probe on the person of the 1st lady over her interaction with many lobbyists trying to reach President Buhari for favor.

OluFamous.Com was not able to confirm these developments as most of those contacted were not ready to speak about the "sensitive" issue. But according to 247 Ureports, source revealed that the relationship between the 1st lady and Mr President had so much deteriorated to a near none existent just within days after the swearing-in of Buhari as President of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Chief on the top reasons why the President turned away from the 1st lady was her desire to play the role of the 1st lady in the manner other 1st ladies had played.

Aisha Buhari wanted to have the type of influence over her husband as the other 1st ladies before her. She wants to influence who is appointed to certain sensitive positions in the administration, and to effectively control certain aspect of the government.

The source adds that she had already become a lobbyist of some sort.

Buhari got to know about this and blocked her out of his daily activities.

According to a source, Buhari was not comfortable with the tale from associates concerning Aisha’s mingling with politicians and businessmen who were interested in meeting with the President. For this reason, the President decided on avoiding communication with his wife, the 1st lady.

“She is from a different generation from Buhari and she has little personal relationship with her husband to enable her relate her [money] concerns to him," the source added.

THE BIG ONE
Buhari’s realization of Aisha’s brother, Musa’s interference in his government was one of the initial problems that greeted the President. Aisha’s brother had begun reaching to individuals seeking to do business with the Buhari’s administration – immediately Buhari won the presidential elections.

Reports have it that he raised Millions within a span of six month following the presidential elections. The President was not happy with Musa. He directed for Musa to be bundled out of the Presidential villa and banished from Aso Rock.

According to 247 Ureports, Mr President has given the chairman of the EFCC the go ahead to probe any of his wife's family member who is using his government to make money and take action.

She is Having Affair With Our Pastor & My Brother- Husband

Worried by his wife’s adulterous acts, a businessman Kolawole Okeeyi, on Wednesday approached the Igando Customary Court in Lagos to terminate his 31-year-old marriage.

51yrs old Kolawole accused his wife, Funmilayo, with whom he had five children of infidelity.

“My wife is having an affair with my pastor, I got to know when I did not have credit on my phone and wanted to use her phone to call our pastor to report her for starving my mother of food.

“I picked her phone and I saw on the screen 'sent message'. I mistakenly clicked it and the message opened, I saw several love messages my wife sent and received from our pastor.

I showed her the messages when she came in, but she begged me, I seized the phone and later confronted our pastor with those text messages, but he told me to do my worst.

“I also caught her with my brother in a hotel in Oyo State; I wanted to ignore them, but I later confronted them so that they will not deny later,” he said.

The petitioner said his wife was after his life and that he had been attacked on two occasions.

“In August 20, 2013, I got to the front of my gate, as I honked for my kids to open the gate, suddenly three men jumped down from a motorcycle, pointing a gun at me.

“But for the timely intervention of the police, I would have been killed. When I entered my house, I told my wife what happened, but she did not say anything.

“Four months later, while coming from work, three men intercepted me, pointing a gun at me to come down and enter the booth, I complied and they drove me off.

“But luckily for me, my phone rang, one of them picked it, the caller addressed me as pastor and said that I should come to the church early that I will be ministering, but I am not a pastor.

“One of the guys said that they should not kill me that I am a pastor; that in the bible God said that they should not touch his anointed or do his prophet harm.

After a hot argument among them, they stopped the car, stripped me naked and absconded with my car. A good Samaritan gave me clothes to wear. When I got home, I told my wife again about the incident, but she said nothing.

“That same 2013, my only three buses that plied Port-Harcourt, Akure and Abeokuta were involved in accident and were condemned, I again informed my wife, but no response from her,” he said.

He said because of these calamities and threat to his life, he left the house he built same year to start squatting with friends.

He pleaded with the court to dissolve the union that he was no longer in love as his life is in danger.

REACTIONS
The wife, 43yrs old Funmilayo, a trader, denied the allegations. She said she was not having an affair with any man. “Those text messages on my phone were forged; I never sent nor received any love messages from our pastor.

“My husband saw me and his brother in a hotel, but we are not dating, his brother just followed me to book for a room when I went for a burial in Oyo State."

According to NAN, the Court President, Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case to November 29 for further hearing.

Boy Dismantled girlfriend Pretty Face for refusing to buy him cigarettes

A domestic abuse victim was locked in her flat and subjected to a four-hour beating after refusing to get her boyfriend a cigarette.
Kelsie Skillen, 18, feared she was going to die when James McCourt hid her phone and her keys and told her: "You’re going to have a bruised face tomorrow so I better do it right."

McCourt was jailed for 21 months after pleading guilty to two counts of assault. Following the sentencing, Kelsie told the Daily Record :
"I’m happy he has been sent away and can’t get to me. I’m so glad. During the incident I kept saying, ‘Is it worth going to jail?’ And he said, ‘I don’t care if I go to jail as long as you’re dead’. I remember thinking, ‘He is trying to kill me. He is dangerous.”’
Kelsie only escaped after McCourt left the room and she phoned her mum, who called the police to the flat in Milton, Glasgow.
Kelsie was so badly bruised she stayed off work for three weeks.

See How Married Woman Beaten To Coma By Landlord’s Son

This is totally unacceptable...how can you do this to a woman, another man's wife? Sigh!
Doctors at Araba Medical Hospital in Abule-Egba area of Lagos are trying their best on a newly-wedded woman, who was allegedly stabbed many times by her landlord’s son for allowing a man, considered as an enemy of the landlord, into her apartment at Ishaga Street.

The victim, Mrs. Taiwo Kehinde, however, expressed gratitude to God for bringing her out of coma. According to her, “my landlord’s son, Jimoh Yusuf, attacked me right inside my apartment with broken bottles. My sin was that my husband allowed one of his friends into our apartment.

“I was returning from my shop last Friday, when I met this family friend, Monday Michael, who lives opposite us. He told me to leave the house that my husband and our landlord’s son were quarrelling.

“I decided to go inside and change into something else. The family friend left for his house, while I entered our apartment.

"I was trying to change my wears when Jimoh barged inside and started shouting. He said ‘I have told you and your husband that I don’t want to see that man (Michael) anywhere close to this house. But you wouldn’t obey. I am going to kill you before your husband comes back’.

“Before I knew it, he broke the bottles in his hands and started stabbing me all over my body, until I passed out. This is not the first time he has beaten me. I am not his wife, neither am I related to him.”

Genesis of the saga
Her husband, Mayowa Kehinde, traced the genesis of his problem with the suspect to the visit of Michael, few hours before his wife was attacked.

He said: “My friend, Monday, came to visit me that day. But when my landlord saw him, he ordered him to leave his house, even when I tried to explain that he was my visitor and that we have known each other long before I moved into his house.

“I reluctantly saw my friend off at about 9pm. By then, my wife was not back. On my way back, I was welcomed with shouts by my neighbours to quickly rush in, that Jimoh wanted to kill my wife.

“When I rushed inside, my wife was in a pool of her blood, while Jimoh still held onto the broken bottles. I held him as he tried to escape from the scene, while a woman rushed to the police station to report the incident.”

Neighbours’ reaction
When Vanguard visited the residence, neighbours alleged that the suspect was always attacking them, particularly the women. One of them, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said: “We have suffered untold pains in the hands of Jimoh but this is the height.

“The most painful aspect of it is that his parents are always supporting him. If you attempt to call the police, they will threaten to issue you quit notice.”

Police sources said the crazy Jimoh had been arrested and charged to court on Wednesday, and was remanded at Kirikiri Medium Security Prison over failure to meet the bail conditions.

NCC's Board Nominee Presents One-Year Diploma To Senate, Insists Senate Must Be Scarpped

Image result for Nigeria senate house

Alhaji Aliyu Saidu Abubakar, one of the leading voices in a campaign for the Senate to be scrapped to save cost, on Wednesday, insisted that Nigeria does not deserve a bicameral legislature.

Aliyu, who is a nominee representing North East in the proposed Governing Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) stated that the upper legislative chamber was a waste of fund and government resources.

The nominee had appeared before the Senator Gilbert Nnaji-led committee on Communications for the ongoing screening of NCC board nominees.

A member of the committee had confronted the nominee, asking why he would accept to appear before the same Senate which he once led a protest for its scrapping.

Drama, however, started when the nominee insisted that the senate be scrapped as cost of running the legislative arm was high and unbearable.

The nominee noted that a situation where the senators had been receiving huge transport, wardrobe and dressing allowances and others was a clear economic loss to the country.

He listed the purchase of expensive vehicles for Senators as another reason why the upper chamber should be scrapped.

"The Senate is an avenue for wastage of scarce economic resources of the country. The Senate must go”, Aliyu insisted.

Meanwhile, the committee had earlier listed what it described as “grave irregularities” in the personal records of the nominee while perusing through the copies of curriculum vitae he submitted.

The committee noted that apart from birth certificate, there were only copies of court affidavit and police extract dated the same day, claiming loss of his credentials.

This made the committee to infer that the court affidavit and police extract may have been procured after Abubakar had been nominated to serve in the board.

The committee also said that it was interesting that the highest academic qualification of the nominee was a one-year “Diploma in Computer” from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

It also revealed that the attached statement of result was dated 23rd September 2016, also obtained after he had been nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Requested to show reason why he chose to present documents that were procured shortly after his nomination and also why he believed that he was qualified to function as a National Commissioner in such a critical agency like NCC given the rigours, challenges and required expertise for efficiency of the commission, Aliyu said he “did not bother to go for the credentials.”

He explained further that he “only went to school merely for knowledge having been self-employed prior to the nomination.”
