PDP chieftain and former Minister of Aviation,
Femi Fani-Kayode, is not yet done with a certain Nigerian Governor, as
he has taken to Twitter to slam the Governor who he said sacrificed his
left leg for money-making ritual just to become Governor. Femi
Fani-Kayode further advised this Nigerian Governor to leave politics and
denounce his covenant with the devil. Here are his tweets;

FM OAP, Daddy Freeze, has taken to Instagram to share a collage of
Hushpuppi’s viral photo in female wear, Jesus and the General Overseer
of COZA Pastor Fatoyinbo who he has always had a face-off with. Daddy
Freeze who asked which of the two Nigerian men dressed closest to the
depiction we have of Jesus, went further to disclose that he’s not a
grass eating sheep that has lost its senses. He also claimed he’s a man
with an open mind, who has taken time out to study the Bible. Here’s what he wrote;
“Which of these 2 Nigerian men is dressed closest to the depiction we have of Jesus? When
it’s time to collect tithe we are Jews, When it’s time to dress up, we
suddenly become hip hop stars and conservative Englishmen. It’s
becoming obvious who colonized our minds and it’s definitely not Jesus;
if it were, we won’t see anything wrong in hushpuppi’s attire. When we ask why they don’t dress like Jesus, they reply “times have changed”. But tithe remains constant right? Oh
yes I can go there, I’m not a grass eating sheep that has lost its
senses, I’m a man with an open mind, who has taken time out to study the
Bible, the antiquities of the Jews and many ancient texts, so as to
broaden my perspective and make me immune to bullshit. Many
of our ‘spiritual’ fathers, have become complacent in their teachings,
and our minds have failed to evolve above their mediocrity. The time to free ourselves from this mental bondage is now, failure to do so, is dancing with great peril. ~FRZ Matthew 23:5

and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. #FreeTheSheeple”
A 62-year old woman has proved that it is never to late to fall in love

got married to Mr. Joshua from Urhobo in Delta State after their
children consented to the marriage.
It was gathered that Geraldine separated from her husband after they had
five grown up children while Mr Joshua lost his wife seven years ago.
It was learnt that they were lovers in their youth days and Jehovah Witness teachers before they separately married.
It
was gathered that the children were initially against the decision but
when their mother threatened to kill herself if they did not support
her, they soft pedalled. When P.M.EXPRESS visited the new couple and
asked to know how they were coping with the marriage, they said it was
easy for them to settle down because they have known each other over the

Controversial ex-militant warlord, Mujaheed
Asari Dokubo, in a video that has long gone viral on Facebook, have
weighed on the recent claim by the Nigerian Government that it recovered
$90 billion from former minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke. According
to Asari Dokubo, if the Nigerian Government truly recovered such
amount, then they won’t be need to borrow from foreign institutions to
finance infrastructural development across the country. He also slammed
Nigerian music stars, Davido and Donjazzy for condemning the former
minister without first seeking the truth. Here’s what he said;
“Nigeria
is now a country of liars, ruled by liars, and managed by liars. How
can somebody just wake-up and claim Diezani embezzled $90 billion?
Multiple that amount of dollars with the value of one dollar to the
Naira and tell me what the sum is.How
much is the Nigerian budget? If Diezani actually embezzled such an
amount of money and has returned the loot, why is the federal government
still trying to borrow money for infrastructure development? Buhari
can lie. He lies like a fish. All the people around him are liars. How
much did Buhari loot from the NNPC during his time as Petroleum
Minister? N2.8 billion. How much did he loot from PTF during his time as
Chairman of the fund? Okadigbo panel said he embezzled N25billion. “Those
without character are accusing others of lacking character. If Diezani
really stole what she is accused of stealing, let them prove it against
her. Then that… that calls himself Don Jazzy will open his mouth…
Davido, children will open their mouth. Davido has not talked about his
uncle Isiaka Adeleke; Bola Tinubu; Fashola; even Awolowo, From where did
Awolowo make his fortune?”
South Africa’s celebrity OAP and rapper AKA’s girlfriend
Bonang Matheba, in a recent interview she granted called on
the Nigerian entertainment industry to quickly tie the loose ends on
their regard for female creatives. Bonang insisted that her
country celebrates female entertainers more than Nigeria, which to her
mind, has bigger clout and should therefore set good examples. Here’s what she said;
“Tiwa
Savage is the only popular female voice in Nigeria that is greatly
celebrated, while the rest of the country honours and recognises men
more. This is an area of observation that can be more elevated”
“Our
[South Africa’s] industry is far much kinder to our female counterparts
and genuinely celebrates them and allows them to shine.”

Like most high-profile kidnap incidents that had recently taken place in
Nigeria, yesterday’s release of six Senior Secondary School Students of
Lagos Model College, Igbonla, Epe, who were abducted on May 25, 2017,
did not just happen as simple as it sounds.
It was a-64 day episode that was characterized by pains, anguish, trauma, drama, suspense, surprises, hard work and even death.
The abducted girls, Police, parents of abductees, governments of Lagos,
Delta and Ondo states and even the public had their share of the
aforementioned factors that played out.
Coming on the heels of the successes recorded with the killing of kidnap
kingpins like Ossy and Mighty among others and the arrest of
Chuwkwudumeje Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans, the Epe incident was more of a
litmus test for the Police.
SaturdayVanguard
gathered that prior to the release of the students yesterday at Aboto
Creek, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, at about 3.30pm, the
Police and other security agencies engaged in painstaking investigation
and actions that lasted more than two months.
It was during this period that the alleged mastermind of the incident,
who was simply identified as America was killed in a gun battle with the
Police.
A lieutenant of a kidnap kingpin
SaturdayVanguard learnt was a lieutenant of a kidnap kingpin, Ossy, who
was killed by the Police in May this year at a hideout in Ajakpa,
Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Ossy and his gang, who were said to have killed an Army captain during
one of their operations, had terrorized parts of Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo
states before he was killed. After the death of Ossy, America assumed
leadership of the gang and continued with criminal activities,
especially in Lagos and Ogun states.
SaturdayVanguard gathered that upon assuming the mantle of leadership,
one of America’s primary objectives was to avenge the death of his boss.
He was also concerned about the detention of his men, who were held by the Police for suspected high-profile crimes.
However, the abduction of the six Model College students was an
opportunity for him to achieve these aims, as he was said to have
demanded the release of his men while negotiating the students’ freedom.
While this demand was not met, he decided to steal a Police Gunboat at Police Marine, Aja in order to use it for an operation.
The Police
SaturdayVanguard was told, got wind of the plot and swung into action
leading to the killing of America and his gang members while they were
coming to attack them. Having killed the leader of the gang while the
students were still not released, the Police decided to arrest the
family members of America, who was said to have hailed from Ondo State.
Enter Promise
Upon the death of America, another lieutenant known as Promise became the leader of the gang.
Like his boss, Promise was more interested in having his arrested gang
members released than allowing the abductees to regain their freedom.
However, the Police continued their efforts by arresting his family
members, thereby putting pressure on him to release the abductees. Just
like the Lagos State government that had been concerned about the
matter, Saturday Vangaurd learnt that Ondo State government also played
some roles that resulted in the release of the students.
Sources in Ondo revealed that the kidnappers had insisted that the
students would only be released to Ondo State government and not another
state government.
They were said to have contacted the state government which was said to
have taken over the negotiation until the students were released
yesterday.
Love is a beautiful thing and time doesn't matter! Photographer, Akin Oyebode, shared the beautiful before and after photos
of the couple, Ayode Akinfemiwa and Blessing Afolayan.
Their primary
school photo was taken sometime in 1994. They were friends and then lost
contact after primary school.
They united through Facebook and then they
started dating. They had their traditional wedding in Lagos yesterday
and would be getting married in the church today.
Two armed robbers met their waterloo in Egbeda area of Lagos, after they snatched a bag containing money a lady withdrew from Zenith Bank. It
was gathered that the two guys riding an okada bike came from nowhere,
to snatch the money from the woman after she withdrew from a Zenith Bank
branch situated at Faith Bustop along Egbeda-Ikotun Road, Thursday
around 8:30 am. However while trying to get away, a mobile Policeman
shot at one of them and he died instantly.
Abosede, wife to veteran author and actor, Adebayo Faleti, who died on July 22nd at a hospital
in Ibadan after a brief illness had an interview
with The Nation where she reminisced on the time she spent with her
husband.
According to her, they were so close that she wore his pants
and underwear in their home.
“We were so close to the extent that I wore his pants and underwear.
Up until his death, if you come to our house very early in the morning,
maybe around 6am, I wear his clothes all around the house before getting
dressed or set for the day’s activities. Baba was always willing to
give me his Buba to wear. We were so close. We were very close during
his lifetime. From the time my parents sent me out after I took in (got
pregnant) for him, he accepted me and my child and promised me that no
hurt will come to me. He fulfilled his promises. Since we got married, I
don’t eat alone, I will only eat when he gets back from work. He does
the same thing by not eating out until he gets home because he knew I
wouldn’t eat until he gets back from work.”she said
The
Executive Chairman Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board,
Dr Stephen Odey locked out staff of the State Universal Basic Education
Board (SUBEB) for coming late to work today, Friday 28th July 2017.
Expressing
his disappointment Dr Odey said he was displeased with the attitude of
staff towards work and that the action was to instill discipline among
staff and ensure quick service delivery to all stakeholders “I was
not impressed when I got here by 8 o’clock and most offices were locked,
nobody should force us to do our work. People are looking for this job,
you have it and you are taking it for granted,” he said.
He
advised staff to be punctual and remain committed, while warning that
those who go against the rules will face disciplinary action.
According to Dr Odey “I
will pardon you today without query because this is the first time,
next time would not be the same, we should all try to support government
efforts by showing commitment to work and being at our duty post at all
times” He warned.
Stressing
the need to enthrone commitment and efficiency, he said all civil
servants are to be at their duty post from 8.am to 4pm daily.
It
was gathered that, upon the SUBEB Chairman’s arrival only 2 out of 20
staff in directorate cadre and 26 staff out of 75 on salary grade level 7
to 13 had reported for duty, while 10 out of 15 junior staff were
present.
Reno
Omokri is not happy with women who expose their boobs on their wedding
day, according to him, only low lives do that. Read as he posted on
Facebook below…
“At
times when I see the wedding dress some brides wear I wonder whether
their mission is to marry or breastfeed their wedding guests. Not only
will your family be there, but your would be in laws will be there as
well. I can assure you that none of them will respect you after they
have seen your breast in open display. Take sometime to look at royal
weddings. Princesses don’t expose their womanly parts. It is low lifes
that do that. So don’t be a lowlife. Cover up those breasts!

A grandmother has bared all to show that 'beauty is
beyond skin' after learning to embrace the vitiligo which will one day
turn her skin completely white and previously left her suicidal.
Model, business owner, and mother-of-four Iomikoe Johnson, 37, from Lake
Charles, Louisiana first noticed a tiny spot of white skin under her
arm 12-years ago.
At first, she thought she had cancer but it then spread to her eyes and genital area.
At just 25-years-old, Iomikoe was scared that she would be bullied for
being 'two different colours' after spending her childhood being taunted
for having dark skin.
Iomikoe contemplated taking her own life as strangers would stare at her
in the streets with some even refusing to shake her hand.
She would spend up to an hour a day on her makeup to cover up and would only wear long sleeved clothes.
'I got vitiligo when I was twenty-five-years-old and I'll never forget
it, I was devastated, I felt like my world had been shattered,' she
said.
'My first spot was under my arm where no one could see. When I was a
kid, I used to get bullied for having dark skin and now I'm two
different colours, so I feared I would have to re-live that experience
all over again.
'It was painful and devastating I even thought of taking my own life many times, but I had kids which kept me going.
'People used to look at my hands and not want to touch me and they
didn't want to shake my hand. People stared and said very mean,
disrespectful things to me and children were afraid of me.
I didn't know what this was, I thought it was cancer at first. I was
scared and very emotionally depressed I didn't know what was going on
with my body, my parents were also concerned but told me no matter what
they will always love me and they told me not to worry.'
Iomikoe has four children and two grandchildren and says that despite
initially being petrified of her vitiligo, she loves being different and
wouldn't be able to exist without it.
She admits that her family encouraged her to embrace it and she's now a
model and wants the world to see her body as art, walking human art.
'Well it would take me forty-five minutes to an hour to put makeup on to
cover spots and it was becoming very tiring,' she explained.
'She has the same skin disease as me and she embraced her beauty so I thought why shouldn't I do the same.
'I woke up one day and I didn't put on any makeup and since that day I
haven't worn makeup I was tired of people defining what they think is
beautiful and it was my job to show them that beauty is beyond skin.
'I want people to be empowered by my story and for them to remove the mask of feeling judged.
'I want them to know that I'm cheering them on and that they are freaking beautiful creatures and "spotted with a purpose".
'Vitiligo can appear at any time in your life and all races can get it,
vitiligo is not prejudiced anyone can get it at any time at any age.'
Akeelah and the bee child actress, Keke Palmer has come for Kylie Jenner for bowing to societal pressure to be beautiful!
Speaking to Yahoo Beauty, the Scream Queens star said the internet
has become so judgmental that people will either beat trolls to the
punch and put themselves down, or conform to the societal version of
perfection so that nobody can criticize.
She said;
“In
the sense of the Kardashians, it’s like I’m going to show you so much
perfect and be everything a woman should be or everything a man would
like or love,’ she said. ‘And I’m going to be exactly that so you can’t
bully me anymore.
Specifically in the situation with Kylie, where
you’ve had a young girl people have seen on television since she was a
kid and they literally told her she was so ugly … the ugly person in the
family. She went and did apparently everything the world deems as
beautiful. The even crazier part is that everybody loves her for it.
What I find interesting is that this is something that is being
displayed to my generation — showing young girls, young guys that if you
do everything that society wants you to be, not only will you be
praised for it but you will make money for it. You can be profitable for
not being who you truly are.
I would just say always be real with
yourself, because at the end of the day that’s all we got. There’s
nothing more important in life than being true to ourselves and being
100 percent loving to ourselves. Putting our feelings [first] and how we
wanna feel and do that above what anybody thinks no matter how
impossible, selfish, weird, scary. or embarrassing that may seem. When I realized that, I realized that’s what it means to be confident. Confidence is me making choices that empower me.”
The Nri community in Anambra State, believed to be the ancestral home of
the Igbo, has threatened to jail the leader of the Indigenous People of
Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, for allegedly invading the area and desecrating
sacred places.
The community said it had concluded arrangements to drag the pro-Biafran
agitator to court in that respect. The traditional of Nri, Igwe Eze
Obidiegwu Onyeso, said this on Thursday while chatting with newsmen in
Awka, the Anambra State capital.
Speaking through his personal aunchssistant, Chief Ifeanyi Onyeso, the
monarch said Kanu and his IPOB’s ‘army of occupation’ invaded his
community on July 18 with impunity, without recourse to obeisance to the
palace.
The monarch said, “My people are highly angry about this misconduct of
these intruders. Nri as an ancient kingdom and the cradle of Igbo
people and her culture and tradition is highly revered among the Igbo.
He added, “On July18, 2017, a day before Kanu came to Nri, 12 youths
came to the palace of Eze Nri requesting an appointment with the
traditional ruler for Kanu.
“They were received and told to go and come back with a written letter
so that they will get official reply from the palace since the
delegation looked unusual, in that there was no titled person among
them.
“The people of Nri and their traditional ruler are not against Nnamdi
Kanu and his agitation, but what we cannot take is for Kanu to come and
mess up the Nri culture and tradition under whatever motive.
“The community will drag him to court and make sure we jail him to serve as a deterrent to others,” Onyeso stated.

The German Government has donated six trained sniffer dogs and a Mercedes bus to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to boost the country’s capacity to detect concealed drugs. German
Deputy Consul General, Alexandra Herr made the presentation in Lagos to
the Director of Operations and General Investigation of the Agency, Mr
Olugbenga Mabo. Herr noted that Germany committed to assisting NDLEA officials with the tools to work. She said,
“It
is important to have the right tools to work and I commend the
cooperation between Germany and Nigeria in combating drug trafficking
through the aid of sniffer dogs. I am eager to see positive results in
the canine operations of the Agency”.
Mabo
disclosed that the agency made 20 major arrests and seizures of banned
substances with a combined weight of 17,432kg with the assistance of
sniffer dogs since 2009. He commended the German Government for
the support and assured that the investment would translate into the
dismantling of more drug trafficking syndicates in the country. He said,
“Twenty
major arrests and seizures of narcotic drugs comprising cocaine,
heroin, methamphetamine, ephedrine, and cannabis with a combined weight
of 17,432kg were made with the assistance of the sniffer dogs since
2009. The contribution of Germany government has made a tremendous
impact on the operations of the Agency at the airport, seaport and land
borders. This additional support will ensure that more drug trafficking
syndicates are dislodged” Mabo stated.
A statement by the NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju said under the
German canine support project to Nigeria, three officers recently
completed a 16-week basic course at the Police Dog School Neustadt,
Saxony Germany. This current batch brings the total number of
donated dogs since 2009 to fourteen and trained officers in dog handling
proficiency to nine. Two Toyota Hiace buses currently being used
to convey the dogs to operations areas as well as training materials
were also donated by the German Government.
Burglars stole an 'eye watering' £400,000 worth of designer bags and
jewellery from former England captain John Terry's mansion after he
posted a picture of himself enjoying a ski trip on Instagram.
The footballer, who now captains Championship side Aston Villa, posed
for pictures on the slopes of the French Alps with his wife Toni, 35,
boasting to his 3.4million followers on the social media site that he
was having a 'great few days away skiing with the family'.
But while the couple happily shared photos and videos of their lavish
holiday, they didn't realise the posts had attracted the attention of a
ruthless gang of prolific burglars, who broke into their £5million
mansion in Oxshott, Surrey, and spent hours ransacking the property,
swiping designer handbags worth £126,000 and rare signed first edition
Harry Potter books valued at £18,000.
Knowing that no one was home, the audacious gang took their time
strolling around his property armed with axes. They spent 45 minutes
plundering the master bedroom before returning later that night to break
into a safe.
On Thursday, Kingston Crown Court heard how an 'eye watering' collection
of designer jewellery and handbags were looted from the 'vast'
collection of Mrs Terry, who loves designer handbags so much that her
36-year-old husband had a handbag shaped cake made for her birthday last
year, which she proudly shared on Instagram.
The raiders discovered that the footballer's wife had so many handbags,
they were unable to carry them all and instead plumped only for the 28
most valuable items including a £42,000 snakeskin Hermes bag, Chanel
bags worth £8,000 and others from Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint
Laurent.
Details of the raid on February 25 this year emerged for the first time yesterday.
All five people involved are due to be sentenced tomorrow.
