"I don't want the celebrities I want the people & I don’t like tweeting" Donald Trump

                           Image result for Donald trump
Donald Trump, whose early-morning rants and policy pronouncements on Twitter have left the world hanging on his every typed word, has said he doesn't like using the social media platform in comments to air Wednesday.

"I don't like tweeting," Trump told Fox News's "Fox & Friends" program.

"I have other things I could be doing. But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it's my only way that I can counteract," he said in excerpts of the interview released late Tuesday.
Since winning the presidency in November, the Republican has exploited Twitter to make administrative announcements, weigh in on foreign policy -- and hurl barbs at anyone who crosses him.

Asked if he would continue to use it as president, Trump said: "Yes."

A-list celebrities have also backed off from Donald Trump's inauguration in droves, leaving Trump
struggling like none of his predecessors to find household names as entertainment.

"Many of the celebrities that are saying they're not going, they were never invited. I don't want the celebrities, I want the people, and we have the biggest celebrities in the world there," Trump told Fox.
He took a similar line towards fashion designers, many of whom have declined to clothe his wife Melania or have discouraged others from dressing the former model.

Asked about Tom Ford's refusal, Trump said that his wife:

"Never asked Tom Ford, doesn't like Tom Ford, doesn't like his designs."

President Jammeh's Family On The Run

Sources say Gambian president Yahya Jammeh is doing everything possible to remain in power and in the midst of the storm he has moved his family out of the country to a safe place.
This is to make sure nothing happens to his wife and children in case a war breaks out between the West African forces and his military, in a bid to force him out and install Adama Barrow as President, following his victory in the last election.
Also, fresh reports this morning indicates that President Jammeh has secured approval of parliament to remain in office for another 3 months, pending when his case will come up in court.

Image result for Knife with blood
A man identified only as Asunmo, has been detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, Lagos State, for allegedly killing a cab driver named Sodiq Fatai.
Asunmo stabbed Fatai to death with a knife at the White Sand area of Ijora Badia, during a scuffle over a prostitute.
He had challenged Fatai over his relationship with the lady, whom he (Asunmo) was dating.
A community leader, who did not want to be identified, told Punch that his attention was called to Fatai’s corpse, which was abandoned on a heap of refuse in the area. He said:

I was told that the two men fought and one stabbed the other to death. The police from the Ijora Badia came to take the corpse away.”
Another resident, who did not identify herself, said the two men were drunk. She said:
“The men were always fighting after drinking. They fought after they were inebriated.”
Another resident said the victim was a driver, while the suspect had no job.

A police source said Asunmo and Fatai had a disagreement over a woman. Punch reports he said,

“Asunmo suspected that Fatai was dating his girlfriend and he confronted him. Although the man denied, he attacked and killed him. The woman in question is a prostitute.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the suspect had been arrested.

She said,

“The corpse has been deposited in the morgue of the Mainland General Hospital. The suspect, who initially escaped, has been arrested.”

South African pastor feeds church members engine oil

A prophet in South Africa, Prophet Theo Bongani Maseko of the Breath of Christ Ministries in Daveyton, has sparked outrage yet again after he made his church members drink engine oil.
According to him, it tastes like honey and drinking the oil demonstrates “the power of God”.

Photographs of people drinking the fluid during church service were posted on his church’s Facebook page. They had a caption which read:
"The fullness of Christ is in this bottle. Healing and strange deliverance #Mark16:17 -18."
In an interview with The Star on Monday, Maseko confirmed he had made his congregants drink the chemical. Asked why he had used this method, he said it was “to demonstrate the power of God”.
“When we pray over anything, its poison dies. So it can’t harm people. Nothing
On the contrary, he said, congregants who had drunk the engine cleaner had been “saved, healed and delivered”. He backed up his claims by citing Bible verses.
“Jesus spat on the ground and made mud. He took that mud and smeared it on the eyes of a blind man and, instantly, that blindness was healed.
Mark 16 v 17-18 says ‘in My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover’,” he said.
Maseko said no one needed to go to the hospital.

This practice has however been condemned by South Africa's Commission for Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Religious, Cultural and Linguistic Communities. Its Chairperson, Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, was livid at the latest incident.

She urged religious leaders to rally together and bring an end to what she described as “reckless” abuse of Christianity.
“A lot of people are going to die one of these days; we are fortunate that has not happened. A lot of people’s lives are at risk here,” she said.

Mom kills daughter for marrying against her wish

                     Image result for home alone
A mother who murdered her daughter and set her ablaze for daring to marry the man of her choice has been sentenced to death, in a case that had revolted many in Pakistan.

16yrs old Zeenat Bibi was doused with kerosene and set alight last June in Pakistan’s teeming cultural capital Lahore, a little over a week after she wed her 20-year-old lover, a mechanic identified as Hasan Khan, against her family’s wishes.

There are many so called "honour killing" in that part of the world.

A judge in an anti-terror court in Lahore sentenced her mother Perveen Bibi to death on murder and terrorism charges, prosecutor Mian Mohammad Tufail told AFP.

She was charged under Pakistan’s terrorism laws rather than newly-reformed criminal legislation against honour killings because of the use of kerosene in the murder, Tufail said.

Bibi also received a 14-year jail term and was fined one million rupees ($9,300) under separate counts related to the killing. Her son Mohammad Anees was jailed for life and fined 1.5 million rupees for his role in the killing.

Bibi’s son-in-law, the husband of another daughter, was acquitted.

Zeenat’s vicious murder sent shockwaves across Pakistan and triggered fresh calls for action against so-called “honour killings”.

Hundreds of women are killed by their relatives each year for allegedly bringing shame on their families in the deeply conservative Muslim country, for marrying men of their choice

Nanny Charged With Assault After Burning Toddler With Curling Iron To Discipline Him

A nanny has been arrested after she allegedly burned a toddler with a hot curling iron to discipline him. Nosipho Nxumalo was caught on camera deliberately holding the iron against two-year-old Xander Persaud's skin, the tot's family claims.

Mum Angela Persaud, from Long Island, New York, says she noticed burns on her son's fingers and legs when she was giving him a bath.

She says she reviewed CCTV footage from her Nanny Cam and saw 21-year-old Nxumalo allegedly burning Xander with the curling iron.

"You see her with the curling iron, and she touches it to make sure that it’s hot," Persaud told WABC.

"And then when he jumps because it burns him, she continues to touch his foot again and then goes for his hand."

Persaud called police after reviewing the footage.

"You can tell that she’s telling him, ‘That’s what happens when you don’t listen,’ and then she hugs him," Persaud told WABC.

"So she’s playing these warped mind games with my child, and it’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever witnessed in my life."

Nxumalo, from Harlem, was arrested and later admitted that she had been frustrated with the child and was trying to discipline him, authorities said.

She reportedly told police: "It was a long week and I was tired. The child wouldn’t listen so I wanted to discipline him with the iron, so I burned him with it."

Nxumalo, who had worked for the family for a matter of weeks, has been charged with two counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
