Mozambique Start Killing Of Bald Men Because They Believe They Have Gold In Their Heads

Bald men in Mozambique could be targets of ritual attacks, police have warned, after the recent killing of five men for their body parts.

Two suspects have been arrested in the central district of Milange, where the killings occurred.

"The belief is that the head of a bald man contains gold," said Afonso Dias, a police commander in Mozambique's central Zambezia province.

Albino people have also been killed in the region for ritual purposes.


Three men have been killed in the past week alone.

The BBC's Jose Tembe in the capital, Maputo, says police think the notion of a bald head containing gold is a ruse by witchdoctors to get clients to take a person's head to them.

"Their motive comes from superstition and culture - the local community thinks bald individuals are rich," a police commander told a press conference in Maputo.

Parents of kidnapped students of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe stormed the office of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to demand for the release of their children 14 days after they were abducted by gunmen.
The parents said the kidnappers told them on Tuesday that four of their children were now sick and that they would henceforth not negotiate with the parents again or allowed them to speak with their children, insisting that they wanted to negotiate with the government.
Mothers of the children were seeing weeping and wailing profusely and calling on the state government to do something urgently to get their children released.A woman who refused to give her name was overtaken by emotion as she was wailing at the top of her voice, calling on government to get her child identified as Isiaka out of the kidnappers’ den immediately.
Mrs. Toyin Philips, mother of Pelumi, a 17-year old student who was kidnapped was seen weeping and demanding government’s intervention in the situation.

“I want my son back. I sent my son to the school because there was no money. If I had the money they are demanding for, would I have sent my son to that school?” She asked. “We are the one negotiating with the kidnappers. The kidnappers said they wanted N100 million. Government, please, don’t let our children die. Let their release be done today,” lamented another parent, Mrs Agbaosi, whose son Judah, is among those kidnapped.

Spokesperson of the parents, Mr. Dapo Adesega lamented that their children had been with the kidnappers for 14 days and that government had not deemed it fit to communicate with them.
Officials of the Lagos State Government came to address the parents and assured them that government would stop at nothing until the children were released.

Senate Confirms 82-Year-Old, 2 Others As Ambassadors

The Senate has confirmed the nomination of 82-year-old retired Justice Sylvanus Nsofor (Imo), whose appointment was rejected by the lawmakers and renominated by President Muhammadu Buhari, as ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Also confirmed at the plenary on Wednesday, based on the recommendation of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, were Joseph Iji (Ondo) and Yusuf Hinna (Gombe).

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg received Nigeria’s Lola Omolola, founder of a secret Facebook group called Female in Nigeria popularly called Female in (FIN).

FIN was founded in 2015 by Omolola, a movement of women focused on building compassion and providing support for one another, with the goal of having up to 1000 members in the group.

Police found multiple fraudulent credit cards with Dammy Krane

                           

Singer Dammy Krane was found in possession of multiple fraudulent credit cards, according to the arrest affidavit filed by Miami-Dade detectives.

The singer and his accomplice, Ilochukwu Gabriel, were on Thursday, June 1, arrested in Miami-Dade, Florida.

The police affidavit obtained by Africa Music Law says two detectives, officers Vargas and Lopez, laid in wait at the Opa Locka Airport for the pair.

The detectives were said to have acted based on a report filed by Eugene Kesselman, the CEO of TapJets – where the defendants allegedly carried out transactions with the stolen credit cards.

“An investigative check of the 7 credit cards in the possession of Johnson-Hunga revealed that the numbers did not match that of the numbers on the embossed strip. This confirms that the defendant was in possession of multiple fraudulent credit cards,” read the affidavit.

It further read: “Defendant Johnson-Hunga had his passport along with several credit cards in his front pant pocket. There were 3 credit cards that were in the name of the defendant and four more that were in the name of William Payton III.

“A search incident to the arrest revealed several cell phones and laptops that were in the defendant’s bags.”

The TapJets CEO was quoted as saying that none of the credit cards used to book for the private jet flights was in the name of the defendants.

He said the first attempt by the defendants to purchase the charter flight was denied.

The attempt, Kesselman said, was carried out through the account of Gabriel Ilochukwu but through an American Express Credit Card of a different name.

After the initial denial, “a second account was created using the name Emmanuel Johnson from the same cell phone”.

He said they were successful on the second attempt when they carried out a transaction worth $10, 943.

Kesselman said he knew the defendants were using the same phone because “every time someone creates an account using the app, the cell phone serial number is recorded in the company database”.

He said that the cell phone had been used in a similar fraud incident that occurred on March 24.

Dammy Krane is set to be arraigned on Friday, June 23.

His family has said he is innocent of the crime, blaming show promoters for the alleged crime.

The controversial journalist who says she is now a political activist has thanked people who reached out to her while in prison and people who are currently contributing to help her offset her bills.
She also sent a shout out to actress, Georgina Onuoha who despite their social media war, called for her release from prison. She also revealed actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima reached out to her while in prison. She wrote;

Terrorists Attack Iranian Parliament

Gunmen launched what appeared to be coordinated shooting attacks today at Iran’s parliament and the shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini, the spiritual leader of the Iranian Revolution, according to Iranian media.

One of the attackers reportedly blew himself up in a suicide bombing while attacking the shrine.
At least one guard was killed when a gunman opened fire in hallway at the Iranian parliament in Tehran, the Tansim news agency said. Several others were said to be injured.

Shortly after the shooting broke out at the parliament, a second gunman was reported to have opened fire at the Khomeini shrine a few miles away.

The mausoleum houses the body of Ayatollah Khomeini, the first leader of the Islamic republic, and is highly symbolic site for Iran’s theocratic leadership.


It was not immediately clear who the gunmen were nor their motivations for carrying out the attack.
Iran is fighting against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) in Iraq. The jihadist group considers Iran’s Shia majority population to be apostates and worthy of death.

However, Iran has also faced attacks from the People's Mujahedin Organisation of Iran (MEK), a Leftist militant group, and from Kurdish insurgents in the west of the country.

According to information which was shared in Hausa language, the man died while trying to change the tyre of a car which reportedly exploded and killed him at his workshop. May his soul rest in peace.

Beauty Queen dies in ghastly car crash four days after she was crowned (Photos)

Newly crowned beauty queen, Miss Rattana Ramchatu has died in a car accident on June 1st, just four days after she was crowned Miss Grand Uthai Thani 2017.
The late beauty queen’s death occurred as she was traveling from Chompon to Bangkok to fulfill some charity works in fulfillment of her pageant promises.

Tap Sakae Poilce reported that the accident happened on the Petkasem in-bound highway in front of Tao Sakae electricity office.
According to them, Rattana and her friend were in the car when the accident took place and the friend who was at the steering wheel got severely injured.
Late Rattana Ramchatu was set to represent her province in the Miss Grand International Thailand 2017 to be held on 18th July.
