The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) says it has arrested a 45-year-old woman, Rhoda Omorogie, alias Mama Bobo, for her alleged involvement in the trafficking of young girls from Benin to Europe.
The NAPTIP Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr Josiah Emerole, said in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja that the operatives of the agency in Benin Zonal Command arrested the suspect in an early morning operation on Tuesday.
Emerole explained that Omorogie, a nurse by profession and an indigene of Oredo Local Government Area of Edo, was nabbed by the operatives at about 5 a.m at her residence located at No. 65 Osayande St. off Upper Sakponda Road, Benin City.
He said that the suspected trafficker had been in hiding since June 16 following the arrest of one of her gang members, Monday Ugbo, by NAPTIP operatives and rescue of three victims.
According to him, the “notorious trafficker’’ is presently in NAPTIP’s custody for interrogation.
The spokesperson stated that preliminary reports showed that Omorogie has over the years been involved in the recruitment of young women from Benin to other places including Europe.
He said the report also revealed that she was connected to the recruitment of the three victims that were rescued in Benin at the weekend.
Emerole quoted the Director-General of NAPTIP, Mrs Julie Oka-Donli, saying that it is disheartening to see women involved in the “disgusting trade of human beings’’. She however stressed the need for people to be more careful while dealing with traffickers.
Recall Ugbo was nabbed by NAPTIP operatives at the weekend who rescued three victims from his residence located at number 72 Osayande St., Upper Sakponba Road, Benin City, Edo.
Ugbo was arrested in the process of receiving a registration fee of N50,000 he had demanded from a prospective victim and preparing to take the victims to a river for oath taking.

Heartbreaking Final Moment Of US Student In North Korea Before Being Jailed

The final photographs of Otto Warmbier in North Korea show him happily mingling with locals, drinking beer and laughing with his tour group of new friends before he was jailed for stealing a propaganda poster, imprisoned for 17 months and 'brutalised' into a coma from which he died this week.

The images were obtained yesterday, a day after the 22-year-old died at a hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, after being suddenly returned to his family on 'humanitarian release' by the North Korean regime on June 13.

They show him gleefully throwing snowballs with portraits of dictator Kim Jong Un in the background and posing with local women and members of the tour group he was a part of.

In others, he is seen sampling local delicacies in restaurants, posing for a selfies and giggling on their bus on New Year's Eve. The rest of the photos after the cut. RIP Otto!

72-year-old retired soldier, Samuel Adebamigbe, on Wednesday pleaded with an Agege Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his 30-year marriage over his wife’s adulterous life.
Samuel, who resides at No. 88, Ajayi Road, Modupe Bus Stop, Oke-Ira, Ogba, told the court that his wife, Iyabo, was having extra-marital affairs with several men.
He also said his wife was not submissive and could no longer live with her.
The petitioner, an indigene of Ondo State, said:
“My wife is not trustworthy and she is also wayward. She lied to me that she was from Ondo State but l later realised she is an indigene of Edo.
“My family was against our union from the beginning because of her promiscuity, but because l love her, l decided to marry her.
“There was a time l found a letter addressed to her lover stating where to meet each other.”
Samuel also claimed that his wife was having an affair with a prophet, but she denied, claiming she was always with the “man of God” for intercessory prayers.
“The trouble is too much. l can no longer bear her arrogant and promiscuous lifestyle. Whenever we had sexual intercourse, she keeps complaining of stomach upset.
“I became worried and asked her to go for a medical check-up and she told me that the doctor said she should have sex just once a week.

‘My wife disgraced me by moaning during sex with robbers’- Benue Man Laments

A Benue State-born man (name withheld) has sacked his newly married wife because she was making some ‘funny moaning’ sounds while being raped by armed robbers in his presence.
The incident played out in the couple’s residence on Bello Street in the Iyana-Ejigbo area of Lagos State, when armed robbers visited them in the death of night few months after they came back from their village where they had conducted their traditional marriage.
It was learnt that after the heavily armed gunmen invaded Baba Eneh’s house around 3 am and demanded money, the native of Owukpa, Ogadigbo Local Government Area of Benue allegedly told the gunmen that he had only N3, 500 at home.
The man, a commercial bus driver, reportedly begged the robbers that he did not have much money at home since he had expended all his savings on marrying his new wife and they were just trying to settle down.
But the robbers who were angry that the man did not have much money at home, decided to gang-rape his wife at gunpoint and descended on her.
However, when the robbers left after raping the woman, the commercial driver was said to have raised hell, accusing his wife of enjoying the rape by moaning in excitement and twisting her waist as the robbers sexually assaulted her, instead of screaming for help.
He was quoted as telling his neighbours:
“Imagine my wife, instead of her to cry for help, she was busy making some funny sounds, an indication that she was enjoying the sex, even in my presence.”
He was said to have ordered the woman out of his house on the ground that she disgraced him as it is against the customs of his community for a married woman to have sex with another man.
The man is said to be afraid of what the gods of his land will do to him and has asked the wife to return to her village for the cleansing rites and sacrifices to be made.

Kemi Olunloyo awarded Gold medal at Nigerian Prison Sports festival

Kemi Olunloyo

Kemi Olunloyo has been awarded a gold medal for taking part in the Nigeria Prison Sports Festival. The journalist who was recently released from prison on bail, while awaiting trial, shared pictures on Instagram and said:
#BREAKING Today I was awarded a gold medal in the Nigerian Prison Sports festival which lasted 3 weeks the week I left. Medal day was today at 10am. I was in court.
YES I enjoyed prison! It is not the best place. My complainant cannot break me. I made the best out of a bad situation. I can even make doughnuts and egg buns too.
Wardress Sylva taught me. You can also learn hairdressing and sewing. Most of the females are not interested, just a few.
Ijeoma is on death row and she made the dress I wore on my exit and the one I wore at the news conference. These services were FREE. I also did medication counseling free for inmates as a pharmacist.
My 81days was not to “correct or rehabilitate” me. I was awaiting trial. Nigeria does not have city jails so we are mixed with convicts. They wear blue, we wear green. That is why I call everyone that called me ex-convict an illiterate.
I have not been convicted of a crime yet. Take corrections and improve your knowledge of the English language. It was a rousing welcome for me as prison staff have never seen me with makeup and traditional clothing.
They said I looked good. Even lawyers in court were all talking. Thank you Mr. Chibuike the sports director awarding me the medal. I am now in the history books of Nigeria.
Kemi Olunloyo
Magistrate court tomorrow. The plaintiff and his lawyers were no show in federal high court. NPF lawyers were pissed as always.

CHeckout Jay Z New Name

Image result for Jayz

The rapper whose real name is Shawn Carter is updating the way he stylizes his famed moniker by adding a hyphen and spelling it out in all capital letters.
The name change, which his rep confirmed to the Daily News, will be used on his recently announced and highly anticipated new album, “4:44,” which comes out on his streaming service Tidal on June 30.
The hip-hop mogul’s spokesperson didn’t have a comment for why JAY-Z decided to make the name change, but it’s not the first time he’s altered his title.
He originally went by Jay-Z (lower case letters with a hyphen) before ditching the hyphen after he came out with his most recent album to date, “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” in 2013.
Only adding to the confusion is that JAY-Z promoted his new album on Twitter this week by stylizing his name JAY:Z to match up with the “4:44” title.

The resignation comes just one week after Kalanick began an indefinite leave of absence amid efforts to bring about wholesale change of Uber’s corporate culture.

Checkout How Billionaire kidnapper, Evans rented his hideouts for N750,000, N1m

Evans
Billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, has revealed that he rented some of his kidnapping hideouts between N750,000 to 1m a year.
Evans claimed he regretted removing his camp from Jakande Estate as the place is a good location.

The 36-year-old father of five told investigators that the place he kept captives at Green street, Jakande estate, was good for business.
Recall that the notorious billionaire kidnapper had led police operatives to two houses (Dens) in Ejigbo and Igando areas in Lagos state, where he kept some of his victims for months.
He said: “I only have three camps; one in Igando, another in Jakande and one in Gowon Estate.“The one in Jakande, I rented it for N750,000 a year, that was in 2010. For the Igando house, I rented it for N1 million.
“I don’t go to the camps because I have my boys on the ground. They give me information on a daily basis.
“Jakande was the place where I kept Udoji, a businessman. Five others were also kept there and I collected millions from them.
“I collected $1 million from Udoji. Emesbose paid $300,000 while another person I can’t remember, paid $250,000.
“I kept just two victims in Igando: Chief Umeh and Chief Donatus Duru who, escaped from the house. We collected 23 million euros from the family. Actually, we were demanding for 300 million euros.
“We were expecting the balance but since the family did not bring it, I told my boys to release him, but they kept holding him. I was sad when my boys called that Duru escaped from our camp.
“Jakande was a good location for business, but I had to leave that place as soon as I noticed that people were becoming suspicious.
“I moved to Igando after Jakande. If I had known, I would have been using the place. See what has happened to me at Igando.”

Rapper Prodigy, one half of the influential hip hop duo Mobb Deep has died, according to a co-author on one of his books, Kathy Iandoli.
He was 42.
A cause of death has not been released, but the rapper had been hospitalized for complications caused by sickle cell anemia prior to his death,
Prodigy had been in Las Vegas for a Mobb Deep performance.

With its gritty rhymes and contributions by the artists Nas and Raekwon, the album helped launch Mobb Deep to the top of the hardcore, hip hop ladder.
Their 1996 follow-up, "Hell on Earth," included the single "Drop a Gem on 'Em," which was a response to a Tupac diss track, "Hit 'Em Up."
Prodigy detailed his beef with Tupac in a 2012 interview with Hip Hop DX.
"When we made 'The Infamous,' we had a song called 'Survival of the Fittest,'" the rapper explained. " On that song, in the beginning, my man that came home from jail...in the beginning of the song, he says, 'Thug life, we still living.'"
"Tupac was the one who was most known for saying that," Prodigy said. "So I think that pissed Tupac off a little bit."
Mobb Deep was entangled in the East Coast/West Coast rapper rivalry of the '90s.
After West Coast rappers Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound released the single "New York, New York," Mobb Deep, along with Capone-N-Noreaga and Tragedy Khadafi, countered with the track "L.A L.A."
Mobb Deep released several successful albums, including "Murda Muzik" (1999), "Infamy" (2001), "Amerikaz Nightmare" (2004) and "Blood Money" (2006).
Two of their biggest hits were "Quiet Storm" and "Shook Ones."
Being a part of Mobb Deep didn't keep Johnson from solo projects like his album "H.N.I.C."
He also appeared on collaborative projects such as 2007's "Return of the Mac" and 2013's "Albert Einstein."
Johnson had some legal troubles. In 2007, he was sentenced to three years in prison for illegal possession of a firearm.
He detailed that incident and more in his memoir "My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy."

Saudi Arabia King Sacks Crown Prince, Appoints Son Due To Palace Coup

Saudi Arabian King Salman has sacked Muhammad bin Nayef as crown prince, replacing him with Mohammad bin Salman in an anticipated palace coup.

According to a royal decree published by state news agency SPA King Salman called for a public pledging of allegiance in Mecca on Wednesday to the new crown prince.

Bin Salman, 31, has been his country's defense minister and deputy crown prince, and was instrumental during President Donald Trump's recent decision to visit the Kingdom.

In a series of royal decrees, the 80 year-old ailing monarch stripped Prince Mohammed bin Nayef,
who had been positioned to inherit the throne, from his title as crown prince and from his powerful position as the country’s interior minister overseeing security.

The move did not come as a surprise as many Saudi watchers had long suspected his rise to power under his father’s reign might also accelerate his ascension to the throne and ignite infighting within the royal family.

Mohammad bin Salman was little known to Saudis and outsiders before Salman became king in January 2015. He had previously been in charge of his father’s royal court when Salman was the crown prince.

The Saudi monarch, who holds near absolute powers, quickly awarded his son expansive powers to the surprise of many within the royal family who are more senior and more experienced than Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MBS.
