115 Killed, 80 Wounded In Egypt Mosque Attack

At least 115 people were killed when suspected militants set off a bomb and opened fire at a mosque in Egypt's restive northern Sinai Friday, state media reported.

Eyewitnesses reported ambulances ferrying casualties from the scene to nearby hospitals after the attack on Al Rawdah mosque in Bir al-Abed, west of Arish city. Another 80 people were wounded.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi convened an emergency security meeting soon after the attack, state television reported.

Egypt's security forces are battling an Islamic State insurgency in north Sinai, where militants have killed hundreds of police and soldiers since fighting there intensified over the last three years.

Miley Cyrus fans are losing it big time after the star uploaded a birthday snap it which is looks like she could possibly be pregnant.

The singer turns 25 today, and shared her excitement with her followers by posing under balloons which spelt out her name.

But it was the cradling of the stomach which she attempted to conceal in an over-sized T-shirt that's got fans convinced she's got a little bun in the oven.

"So close to b-day time! Stoked for a day full of Tofurkey & loved ones! Ain't it ironic? #VeganTurkeyBaby," she teased of the gorging that lay ahead. But did her caption have a double meaning?


Her followers certainly thought so. "Are you pregnant?" asked several, while another wrote, "Yup, I definitely see a baby bump! Pregnancy announcement?"

One spotted her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth's reflection in the mirror as he took the pic, and just couldn't even.

"OMFG MY HEART" she wrote.

Maryam Sanda, Weeps As She Is Remanded In Prison

Mrs. Maryam Sanda has been arraigned for allegedly killing of her husband, Bilyamin Bello, a son of former People’s Democratic Party Chairman, before an FCT High Court in Abuja. 

She was arraigned for offense bordering on culpable homicide. Maryam could not control her emotion as she burst into tears upon her arrival at the court holding her seven month old baby.

As at the time of this report the suspect has entered the dock to take her plea and pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of homicide.

The defense counsel, Hussein Musa asked the court to let the defendant be in the police custody arguing that she is still a nursing mother and would be improper to be remanded in prison custody.

The presiding judge, Yusuf Halilu ruled that suspects be remanded in Suleja prison and the matter has been adjourned to December 7th for further hearing.


Man Stabs Attendant For Forbidding Smoking In Filling Station

An unemployed man, Bala Lawal, who allegedly stabbed an attendant for stopping him from smoking in a petrol station, on Friday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

Twenty-three-year-old Lawal, who resides on Lawal Street, Mangoro, Agege, Lagos, is standing trial for assault.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Mike Unah, told the court that the accused stabbed Mr. Godwin Okonta on November 8 at Aguda, Ogba in Lagos, after smoking marijuana.

Unah said Okonta told Lawal to move away from the filling station while he was smoking, and that the accused later came back and stabbed him on the head with a knife.


Unah said witnesses consequently apprehended the accused. He noted that the offence contravened Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The accused, however, pleaded ‘not guilty.’

The Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Gbajumo, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Gbajumo adjourned the case until December 4 for mention.

Woman catches customer having sex with 11-yr-old daughter



A 54-year old man, Gabriel Oriashi escaped being lynched after he was caught having sex with his customer’s 11-year old daughter, PmExpress reports.

The incident happened at Kajola Street where the victim’s mother resides and owns a shop where she sold local gin.
The suspect who was married to two wives, had gone to the shop to buy a drink and the victim was directed to sell to him.
It was gathered that Oriashi, who noticed that the victim’s mother was not close by, ordered her to pull her pant and penetrated her through the back.
According to the victim’s mother, when she waited for long for her to return to the sitting room, she decided to check what caused the delay and met them in the act.
She raised alarm which attracted the residents who attempted to mob Oriashi before he was rescued and handed over to the police at Ikotun Division.
The Akoko Edo born suspect was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for defilement. It was leant it was not the first time he was doing so.
When interviewed, the victim said the suspect warned her not to tell her parents otherwise they will all die. So she had to keep quiet and bear the assault to save her parents from dying. Oriashi, who is a truck driver, pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr. F. Akani, granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court ordered the suspect to be remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 15 January, 2018.
