Rihanna Arrive London With Billionaire Beau

Rihanna and her beau Hassan Jameel seem to be inseparable these days. After being spotted together on Halloween, the 29-year-old singer and her billionaire Saudi Arabian beau have now been spotted at Heathrow Airport, arriving London.

This comes after the Work hitmaker flashed what appeared to be a diamond engagement ring on her wedding finger last week in New York City.

The two have been dating for about a year.

Divorced Jameel is the deputy president and vice chairman of family business Abdul Latif Jameel Domestic- who own the rights to sell Toyota cars in Saudi Arabia. He previously dated Naomi Campbell.

The crooner was glam free with her locks pulled up into a bun, a crossbody Dior purse on her hip and white sneakers.

Her beau was dressed very casually as well for the long flight.

According to eyewitnesses, the pair took over two hours to come through the terminal.

They had used the exclusive Windsor Suite, which is supposed to enable VIPs to arrive and leave the airport with minimal delay.

The lovebirds then got into a waiting van.

Rihanna was sporting the large ring as she left Madison Square Garden where she took in Chris Rock's stand-up comedy performance.

The ring appeared to have a large center stone that could have been a champagne diamond.

Surrounding the rock were several large white diamonds that created what looked to be a daisy pattern. Whatever it is, we wish Riri all the best.

Olubadan To High Chiefs: You Are Entertainers Of The Year

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1 Tuesday described the purported threat of 21 new Ibadan kings to recommend him for removal as an affront to the people of Ibadan.

The traditional ruler also referred to the 21 kings as entertainers of the year even as he declared that they (21 new kings) lacked the powers to unseat the Olubadan.

In a press release issued, signed and made available to The Nation Tuesday by the Director, Media and Public Affairs to the Olubadan , Mr Adeola Oloko , Oba Adetunji stated that ‘the so-called Oba-in-Council ‘ was unknown to the Oyo State Chieftaincy Laws, and wondered how a group of educated individuals such as the embattled high chiefs could resort to illegality by commenting on a matter before the court.

Hearing continues Wednesday 13 December at the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan in a suit filed by the Olubadan against the Oyo State Government on the controversial chieftaincy review.

Oba Adetunji who has pleaded with the court to take judicious notice of the persistent contempt of court on the matter before it by the defendants in recent times, is of the opinion that if a scape goat is not made of at least one or two culprits, there may be no end to court contempt.

On the issue raised by the Oba-in-Council; Olubadan contended that the council in question which comprises high chiefs and Olubadan only is basically an advisory council with no force of law, customs and traditions backing it.

” In the same vein, Baale whom the embattled high chiefs have added to themselves to become 21 are not members of Olubadan-in-Council and therefore should not be dressed in borrowed robe, as they have no power whatsoever over their lord, ”  the frontline Oba said.

According to Oba Adetunji, as the prescribed and appointing authority , he can promote and/or peg the promotion of an high chief as long as he wishes .

But he added that he did not contemplate any such decision as he does not see himself as an absolute monarch.

Oba Adetunji contended further that there was no time that the embattled high chiefs were barred from attending palace activities, adding that they were the ones who spurned palace invitation in their desperate rush for multiple crowns and cheap royalties.

He expressed delight that despite their absence from official palace activities, the Olubadan had been exercising his duties without let or hindrance.

The Olubadan stated that even when they were being harassed and molested in the city streets and called unprintable names, he has been trying his level best to calm down frayed nerves in order to guarantee their safety and security by going to court to diffuse tension.

Oba Adetunji stated that as the Yoruba proverb says that okro can never outgrow its reaper, an high chief can’t outgrow the king by threatening to recommend him for removal.

“By custom and tradition, no Olubadan has been recommended for removal from office by any high chief or group of high chiefs at any time and my own reign will not be an exception. At least, we have received applications from families of about four of the embattled high chiefs asking for their immediate replacement. But, like a prodigal son, we hope that they would sooner than later renounce the unrecognized crowns and return to the warm embrace of their father as the palace door is perpetually open. The high chiefs are hereby advised to emulate high chiefs in other places, who are not wearing crowns but still earn respect of their people for peace and progress to reign supreme in the land, ” he said.

He , however , urged the high chiefs not to exercise fears yet, as their seats would not be declared vacant in the absence of court verdict.

NDLEA intercepts 7,073 kg of Cannabis valued at N70.7 million concealed in building materials

NDLEA
The Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted another shipment of dried weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa concealed in building materials.
The drug packed in 409 bags with a total weight of 7,073kg was ingeniously concealed in a consignment of building materials in a truck with Ondo Registration Number XB 625 WEN.
The driver of the truck and another accomplice, had been arrested in connection with the seized weeds valued at N70.7million.
According to the NDLEA, Edo State Commander, Mr. Wakawa Buba, investigation has shown that the truck departed Akure, Ondo State on its way to Abi in Delta State. The driver of the truck, Monday Amusoga, 39, who lives in Benin City and Omebu Kingsley, 30, based in Delta State, are currently being interrogated in line with investigative procedures. Both suspects are from Ndokwa West Local Council of Delta State.
In his confession, Amusoga said that he was paid N50, 000 to drive the truck from Ondo to Delta.
“I am a driver. I have been jobless. My friend assisted me with this deal so l could meet my family needs. I am married with five children. Unfortunately, when we got to Benin, the officers in a Hilux vehicle asked me to stop. He took me to their office in Benin where they conducted search and the cannabis was detected amidst iron rods,” he said.
The second suspect, Omebu Kingsley told officials that he was called to assist the driver in conveying the cannabis to Delta.
“I was contacted to assist the driver for N25,000. I am married with a child and as a jobless secondary school dropout, l accepted the offer, especially as Christmas is approaching”.
Edo State commander of NDLEA, Mr. Buba while confirming the arrest and seizure, described the mode of concealment as deceptively imaginative, adding that the command would do all within its capacity to counter the illicit activities of drug syndicates.
“This is yet another clever trick employed by drug traffickers. The cannabis was neatly concealed amidst building materials but we were able to detect it based on intelligence report”.
Wakawa warned drug barons that unless they quit the criminal trade, they would continue to be arrested and prosecuted while their drugs will be seized and destroyed.
The suspects would soon be charged to court.
