70-yr-old and his two sons arrested for raping 9-yr-old girl in Edo state

The Edo State government has handed over 70 year old Francis Ezomo, and his two sons; Nosa Ezomo, 26 year old and Festus Ezomo, 29 year old, to the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Kokumo, for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl, who is a relative of Mr Francis Ezomo’s wife.The Acting Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Basic Education, Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe, told journalists after the suspects were handed over to the Police at Government House, Benin City, that the case was reported to her office by the headmistress of the minor.

“The issue came to the limelight when the headmistress of the minor’s school noticed a change of behaviour in the minor and decided to ask her what the problem was. The nine years old girl narrated her ordeal to the headmistress who then informed the Education Secretary of the local government council where the alleged crime took place.

We then swung into action and got the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development involved,” Dr. Oviawe said.

The SUBEB boss added that when;

“we could not get the necessary action required from the Police, the state government swung into action and these three men were apprehended almost immediately.”

She explained that the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has taken custody of the child who is now in a safe place and assured that SUBEB would ensure that her education is not truncated.

“What the men have done is bad and their actions have attempted to destroy the life and future of the minor. The three men took advantage of the child and exposed her to trauma. We have waded into the case to ensure justice prevails,” Oviawe said.

The commissioner of police assured that his men would investigate the allegation and charge the case to court.

Mum Throws Son Off Balcony Then Jumps After Him In "Murder Suicide" After Bitter Divorce

A furious mum allegedly threw her four-year-old son off a 10th-floor balcony before jumping to her own death after losing a custody battle for him.

Little Misha died at the scene after he was reportedly hurled from the balcony by his 25-year-old mum, Anastasia, who was also 'bitter' over her divorce .

The youngster's dad, Andrey Yekimov, saw his small body lying on the ground outside as he stepped out of a lift just moments after the ' murder -suicide'. He was reportedly so shocked he couldn't move.

Anastasia, whose surname is unknown, had gone to visit ex-husband Andrey at the flat he shared with their child in St Petersburg, north-western Russia.

Recalling the horrific day, Andrey, 33, said he had been about to take Misha for a haircut and that his former spouse had asked to come with them.

Anastasia took Misha to summon the lift while he locked the door, he said.

But out of his sight, the mum took the little boy to a communal balcony and hurled him off, before immediately jumping after him, according to reports.

Andrey said he was surprised not to find his ex-wife and son at the lifts, but that he assumed they must be waiting for him on the ground floor.

He described how he only realised what had happened when he took the lift down and saw their dead bodies lying on the ground outside.

As he remained frozen, in shock, passersby called the emergency services.

Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene, where paramedics sadly confirmed both Anastasia and Misha had passed away.

Andrey had tied the knot with Anastasia four years ago. But he reportedly divorced her two years later and the courts decided to leave their son with him.

During her marriage, it is claimed that Anastasia paid little attention to her child - instead, allegedly drinking heavily and taking drugs.

In her divorce, she was officially stripped of her parental rights. Afterwards, Andrey started new a chapter in his life, caring for Misha.

Anastasia is thought to have carried out the alleged murder-suicide while in a 'bitter rage' at having lost her son, Russian media reports 

She was also allegedly furious over having lost her husband.

Strangers have offered their support to Andrey following the tragedy.

Wife Is Flogged 100 Times By Husband & Then 'Sexually Assaulted' By Crowd For Alleged Adultery

A wife was tied to a tree and beaten with a leather belt while dozens of men watched on and did nothing.

She was allegedly flogged 100 times by her husband following a 'kangaroo court' ruling that she was guilty of adultery .

The attack, which happened in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh near Delhi in India, saw the unidentified woman beaten unconscious.

The 73-second video shot on a mobile phone shows a saree-clad woman’s hands tied to an overhead branch of a tree while she is beaten with a leather belt by a man in a green shirt and a jacket.
Hauntingly, the woman can be heard screaming in pain after each hit.

She was reportedly sexually assaulted by members of the crowd afterwards while unconscious.

A large crowd of men can be seen standing in a circle to watch the beating and some of them can even be heard berating the woman.

Local reports allege that the the woman was being beaten by her husband after a "kangaroo court" run by a local village leader found her guilty of adultery.

Police say three people involved in organising the attack, including the woman's husband and son, have been arrested.

They also said they were investigating 30 other people who had watched the event.
