Man Commits Suicide, Jumps From 5th Floor Of UCH, Ibadan

A man in his early 50s this morning committed suicide by plunging from the 5th floor of the Administrative Building of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State. The incident, which caught many people unawares, attracted their attention when they suddenly saw the man landing with a thud on the cemented floor outside the Mortuary Department of the hospital.

Dressed in blue native attire, wearing a pair of palm sandals, the deceased, whose identity was yet to be ascertained by the police smashed his head when he hit it on the floor.

Though the workers at the hospital were still on strike as at present, the management, according to the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mr Deji Bobade, detailed a doctor to examine him who certified him dead, after which the police were invited and took some investigation notes before the remains were deposited at the hospital morgue.

However, unconfirmed reports indicated it that the man left a note indicating he was duped of N30million and so decided to take his life. The note was said to have been taken away by the police.

Meek Mill says Kanye's old bars helped him get through in prison. Whether you’re sick of him or not, you can’t deny the fact that Kanye West sure knows how to draw attention & strike up a conversation in the culture.

Over the past few weeks, the Chicago rapper has been making national headless for siding with Donald Trump and stating some outrageous remarks, most recently about slavery being a choice while on TMZ.

Last night, the newly-freed MMG rapper took to his Instagram page to say he missed the old Kanye, and that his old lyrics helped him get through prison.

“To whom much is giving much is tested .... get arrested I guess until he get the message.. I feel the pressure under more scrutiny and what I do “act more stupidly” 🤦🏾‍♂️ #oldye #wemissyoubro them bars touched me in my cell!” Meek captioned.

The photo he shared was a spray painting of Kanye with the words “RIP Old Kanye” across the top, and “We miss you” underneath his younger photo.

Jackie Chan's Teenage Lesbian Daughter Homeless & Sleeping Under Bridges

Jackie Chan's 18-year-old daughter claims she's been sleeping rough because her parents refuse to accept her relationship with a woman.

Etta Ng Chok Lam, the product of Jackie's 1998 fling with former Miss Asia Elaine Ng Yi Lei, shared an emotional video of herself and girlfriend Andi Autumn, 30, in which they beg fans for help and shelter.

It's thought they've been together for 15 months, given that Etta wrote a gushing tribute to her former teacher girlfriend in October 2017 to mark their nine-month anniversary.

Looking pale and wrung-out, Etta tells the camera: "We've been homeless for a month due to homophobic parents. We pretty much just slept under a bridge and other things."

Instagram model Andi adds: "I've asked all my friends and family for help and everyone just sends us to the direction of shelters, where they know we'll be split up.

"We will have to split up if we go to any kind of government facilities. And no-one on my Facebook is going to listen to me, and now no-one is responding to my phone calls."

A drained Etta continued: "I don't even understand what is going on because we've gone to the police, we've gone to the hospital, we've gone to the food banks, LGBTQ communities, shelters and all of them just don't give a s**t.

"So that's why we're making this video, because we don't know what to do at this point. Show people that two people in love, that have true love, are trying to get split apart and they're trying to f**k us over. And for what? I don't understand it."

As Etta seemed to well up, Andi reached over and kissed her cheek.

"I love her. I love you," Etta told her. "We just want to let people know what's going on, because it seems ridiculous that no-one can help."

Dokpesi’s U.S. Visa Revoked Over Looters List

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Raymond Dokpesi’s United States (U.S.)visa has been revoked because his name is on the looters list released by the Federal Government, the media mogul has said.

He has sued Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who announced the list, seeking payment of N5billion damages.

No date has been fixed for hearing the suit filed on Monday before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory.

He is seeking N5billion damages for alleged defamation of character.

Dokpesi said the defendants allegedly sent his name as a looter to the United States Embassy, which in turn notified him on March 16 that his visa had been revoked.

The US Embassy, he said, told him it was because his name was among a looters list submitted to it by the Federal Government.

The plaintiff said the publication of his name as a looter was malicious since he has not been convicted by any court of competent jurisdiction.

Dokpesi prayed that the retraction and apology to him be published both in the social media and in newspaper and televisions stations.

He is also praying for an order compelling the defendants, including Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami (SAN), to publish a full retraction of the defamatory publications and to apologise to him.

In the suit by his lawyer Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), Dokpesi is also praying for a perpetual injunction restraining the defendants or their agents from further making any defamatory publications against him, and N50million as cost of the action.

The publications, he said, have prejudiced his constitutionally guaranteed rights to presumption of innocence until proven guilty, and that his right to fair hearing as enshrined in the Constitution has been blatantly violated.

“The defendants’ defamatory publications are malicious and calculated to overreach and prejudice my fair trial and for purposes of stampeding and cowing the court to convict me at all cost by agreeing with the defendants’ skewed position,” the plaintiff said.ent.

Facebook Announces Plans To Launch Dating Service

Facebook Inc announced plans to offer its first dating service on Tuesday. Chief executive Mark Zuckerberg told software developers at Facebook’s annual F8 conference that a dating service would be a natural fit for a company that specialises in connecting people online.

“There are 200 million people on Facebook that list themselves as single, so clearly there’s something to do here,” Mr Zuckerberg said.

Shares of Match Group Inc, the owner of popular dating app Tinder, fell more than 18 per cent on the news. IAC, Match Group’s parent company, dropped almost 14 per cent.

A dating service could increase the time people spend on Facebook and be a “big problem” for competitors such as Match, said James Cordwell, an analyst at Atlantic Equities.

“But the initial functionality looks relatively basic compared to those offered by Match’s services, so the impact Facebook has on the dating space will be down to how well it executes in this area,” Mr Cordwell said.

A prototype displayed on screens at the F8 conference showed a heart shape at the top-right corner of the Facebook app. Pressing on it will take people to their dating profile if they have set one up.

The prototype was built around local, in-person events, allowing people to browse other attendees and send them messages.

The feature will be for finding long-term relationships, “not just hook-ups,” Mr Zuckerberg said. It will be optional and will launch soon, he added, without giving a specific day.

Facebook chief product officer Chris Cox said in a separate presentation that the company would share more over the next few months.

The dating service was being built with privacy in mind, so that friends would not be able to see a person’s dating profile, Mr Zuckerberg said.

“My wife is too lazy, she became lazy after our first child" Man Want Dissolution of his Marriage, Wife Plead for reconciliation

An Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos, on Monday, reconciled a couple, Peter Obaze and his wife, Chiamaka, whose 11-year marriage was on the verge of collapse.

Obaze, 47, a marine engineer, had instituted a divorce suit in March, claiming that his wife was not supportive, unproductive and lazy.

“My wife is too lazy, she became lazy after our first child, I have wanted her to start a business; even her brother gave her money to earn a living but she could not.

“She always provokes me and she does not take good care of me. “I am not interested in the marriage anymore; please separate us,” the petitioner, who resides at Oriokuta Street, Ogijo in Ikorodu, told the court.

Chiamaka, 40, a mother of three and a trader, had earlier pleaded with the court for reconciliation and pledged to mend her ways.

However, following the intervention of the court, presided over by Mrs. Funmi Adeola and the couple’s families, they were reconciled.

The husband also wrote a withdrawal of case letter to the court and told them that they would work to resolve their differences and reconcile themselves.

Adeola ordered that Chimaka should sign an undertaking that she would be a good housewife, promise to be productive, supportive and respectful.

“The undertaking would also indicate that you will now be supportive and also help your husband build a bright future for your children,” she said.
