The Hip Hop singer threatened to delete his Instagram after fans started hounding his rumoured new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, and fans have responded angrily.
Thousands rushed to Twitter to condemn their idol for picking a girlfriend that they didn't deem suitable and daring to criticise his own followers.
#RipBeliebers soon began to trend worldwide as angry fans vented on social media in a bid to get Justin's attention.
All the drama started when Justin shared a succession of black and white snaps with Sofia earlier today.
One angry fan wrote: "I won't be celebrating all your dump actions, she's gross and your treating your fans like s**t".
Standing up for his woman, the Sorry hitmaker fired back at fans in a bitter rant and threatened to delete his Instagram profile.
He wrote: "I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like"
The longtime friends have been spending quite a bit of time together recently, with the couple pictured holding hands while climbing over rocks in Laguna Beach last Friday.
