River Niger Over Flow As Homes & Properties Destroyed



NEMA had earlier warned of the possibility of this and warned people to evacuate flood prone areas.

The River Niger overflowed its banks bringing back sad memories of the 2012 flooding that ravaged many riverine communities. As predicted by the Nigerian meteorological agency, the water has risen above normal level, leaving communities in parts of Anambra state helpless and stranded.
