Checkout gross photos of giant pregnant snake butchered in Nigerian village

These toe-curling snaps show a huge butchered pregnant snake that was reportedly killed by villagers in an unnamed Nigerian village  


According to sources, the animal was slaughtered after accusations it had been feasting on farmers’ livestock.

But when villagers cut its swollen stomach open, they realised it was actually pregnant and it's still unclear what actually killed the calf.

Dozens of eggs fell out of the snake’s body and were quickly snatched by locals, as they are considered a delicacy in the area.

It isn’t known what species the snake is, but many are able to produce up to 100 eggs at a time.
