CCTV Captures Horrific Moment Private Jet Crashes On Approach To Airport

Footage has emerged appearing to show the horrific moment a private jet crashed on its approach to a US airport. Two people were killed when the Learjet 35 came down near to Teterboro Airport , in New Jersey yesterday afternoon.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the twin-engine plane was en route from Philadelphia International Airport when it crashed at 3:30pm local time. CCTV footage from a nearby car park shows the moment the jet fell from the sky and crashed in a huge fireball.

Other footage of the aftermath, captured near to the scene, shows clouds of billowing black smoke rising above buildings engulfed in flames. Firefighters can be seen tackling the blaze with water jets. Carlstadt police confirmed two fatalities and said there were no other passengers on board. More photos below;
