George Bush Sr Rushed To Hospital Just Hours After Burying Wife, Barbara Bush

The former US President was admitted to intensive care in Houston, Texas, on Sunday after contracting an infection which spread to his blood. The 93-year-old is being treated at Houston Methodist Hospital, family spokesman Jim McGrath said.

"He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering," McGrath said in a statement.

The 41st President of the United States laid his beloved wife Barbara to rest on Saturday.

The former first lady died on Tuesday, April 17, aged 92.
