Aremu Olufemi, the alleged gay lecturer of the College of Agriculture, Moore Plantation, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State, was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Jejelola Ogunbona of Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, for allegedly sodomizing one of his students.
The alleged gay lecturer who pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum, was accused of massaging the manhood of one Jamiu Lateef, an HND1 student, at SW9/717, Olugbode Street, Odo-Ona, Ibadan, on August 6, 2018, at about 8:30p.m.
The case which borders on sodomizing his student, has been adjourned until October 19, 2018. Recall that we reported that the alleged gay lecturer’s recent victim and course representative of the class, Lasisi, alleged that the suspected gay lecturer is known for sexually assaulting male students in the department and ensuring that during exams, he searches only male students to check out their private part.
Lasisi who accused the married lecturer of sexual harassment and extortion of male students during a live radio program at Petals FM, Ibadan, also disclosed that Engineer Femi Aremu told him that he had his way with over 5 students in the past and his cooperation would determine his success and that of his classmates.His statement read in part;
He told me that there are some things he wants the course rep o do for him, which includes refreshment after every lecture compulsorily and i spend N500 every week without the knowlege of my coursemates because he warned me not to disclose that information to anyone and added that he has spies amongst my coursemates so he would find out if i go against his instruction.
It was gathered that the school’s management is now investigating the allegations, and a statement released by the school indicates that a panel set up to investigate the matter, will submit its report within 7 working days. Another male student also confirmed the allegations, saying that the lecturer hates women, but is sexually attracted to men
