My pride, my prince, my joy, my future, my wealth, my endorsement, my primary career, words can't express how honoured and grateful to God I am for the grace to be Ur caretaker-Opeyemi Ayeola

For Nollywood Yoruba actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola, it’s time to have a stronghold in the movie industry. This must have dictated the move to float the Opeyemi Aiyeola Films Limited in Lagos.
The actress, who is based abroad and living with her family, is currently in Nigeria and has recently, opened her Lagos office/ rehearsal centre to the public. The office which is situated in Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos is tastefully furnished and equipped for production of movies.  The opening was graced by Veteran actor, Yinka Quadri, actress Iyabo Ojo and more.

On why she has been off production for sometimes, the bubbly actress declared during her second son’s birthday:

“People ask me all the time,' Ope why did u sacrifice ur career for family?, why did u leave at a time u were hotter than hot?, U could be up there by now, U could be getting most hot deals n endorsements, ur career would have blown supa huge!!!!. I look at them and always think n say to myself, 'ignorance' and 'petty'. Now I am glad n proud to answer those questions. This is one of the reasons why. Abandoning my career to have lovely, handsome, glorious, blessed, intelligent, world changer boys is why. If given the grace and opportunity I will do same over and over again. My pride, my prince, my joy, my future, my wealth, my endorsement, my primary career, words can't express how honoured and grateful to God I am for the grace to be Ur caretaker….” (sic)

Gushing about her new office, she said "Opeyemi's song of praise:My heart thus magnify the Lord, My spirit praise his name because he has been too good to me.Like Thomas I had doubted u, like Peter I had denied u, like Saul( Paul )I had persecuted u, like David I had committed diverse sins, like Moses I am quick to anger, like Adam I blame others for my mistakes, like Martha ( Lazarus sis ) I have been faithless , like the Prodigal son I have been carelessly lavish yet u my Lord n my God have never given up on me. Uve reminded faithful, sure, supportive, protective, forgiving........ Daddy, you've made the rejected stone the chief corner stone. For your love ❤️ I say ' Ose baba' . Thank you for the grace to see this new month of all round grace n mercy. Happy new month to all my glorious family, friends n fans😘"

Fake Female Lawyer Busted For Impersonation

The police on Tuesday arraigned a female accused, Fatima Ibrahim, at a Chediya Magistrates’ Court in Zaria, Kaduna State, for impersonation.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Abubakar Ibrahim, said the police had on Oct. 17 received a petition bordering on impersonation from Augustine Agum, Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Zaria branch on behalf of the association.

Ibrahim said that the accused had been parading herself as a lawyer having not been trained and qualified as one. He told the court that in the course of police investigation, the accused neither affirmed nor denied the allegation against her.

The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 179 Penal Code.
Fatima confessed committing the offence and said that circumstance made her do so.

The accused immediately retracted her guilty plea shortly after the prosecutor applied for her summary trial under Section 157 of Criminal Procedure Code (CPC).

The accused counsel, Abdurrasaq Ahmed, thereafter applied for her bail, arguing that the alleged offence was bailable.

The Chief Magistrate, Auwal Musa, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.

Musa said that the sureties must present bank account statements, letter from a traditional ruler, authentic residential address and telephone number.

“It is not an easy case because it tempers with the reputation and credibility of members of the bar profession, therefore, we are all affected,” he said, and adjoined the case till Nov. 15 for hearing.

She bought a house after scamming all her 20 boyfriends to get her iPhone7s

Following the launch of the iPhone 7 in September, a woman simply known as Xiaoli, from Shenzhen in China managed to convince each of the 20 guys she was dating to buy her an iPhone 7.

She then sold the phones via the tech recyling website Hui Shou Nao and made 115,010 Chine yuan (N5,350,384), which she then used to buy a house in the countryside.

Sharing Xiaoli’s story on a blogging forum, a user called Proud Qiaoba, said: ‘Everyone in the office is talking about this now.

‘Who knows what her boyfriends think now this news has become public.’

According to Proud Qiaoba, who appears to work with Xiaoli, the woman is not from a wealthy family and her ‘mum is a housewife and her dad is a migrant worker, and she is the oldest daughter.’

The woman allegedly sold the 20 iPhone 7s to the website for around 5,802 chinese yuan each (N269,915), which Hui Shou Bao confirmed to the BBC.

The story was widely shared on the Chinese social network Weibo, where more than 13 million comments were posted using the hashtag ’20 mobiles for a house’.

Some people criticised her and called her ‘shameless’ but most praised her for her ingenuity.

One woman wrote: ‘I can’t even find one boyfriend. She can actually find 20 boyfriends at the same time and even get them to buy her an iPhone 7. Just want to ask her to teach me such skills.

Son Beheads Village Head, Throws Corpse Into Pit Toilet

Disaster struck, penultimate Monday, at Ekpri Ikot Ene community, Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Cross River State, when an enraged 23-year-old son butchered his father, who is the village head, HRH Francis Ekpo Ene, and dumped his remains inside the family’s pit toilet for persistently accusing him of stealing his money without facts.

NDV gathered that killer-son (Francis Ekpo Jnr.) supposedly acted under a powerful and diabolical influence, as he was not known to be a violent person before the sacrilegious incident.

How it happened—Wife

The wife of the deceased, Mrs. Affiong Offiong Asuquo, who spoke to NDV, said signs of trouble emerged in the household when an unnoticeable amount of money, sometimes between N20, 000 to N50, 000 started disappearing from the safe in the bedroom of the late ruler. Continue...

Her words: “The problem started when my husband’s money started missing and he had always thought that it was his first son, who was responsible for the theft, not knowing that he was not the person involved, and he had always denied being the one. The height was when he sold his oil and kept N90,000 in a Nido milk can and the money got missing again, he was really angry because he could not fathom why such an amount of money could get missing in his house.”

She confided in NDV that the money was actually being stolen by their daughter, who after her escapade, disappeared to her boyfriend’s place and returned after they exhausted the cash, pretending as she knew nothing and the late villager head would rail accusations on the epileptic son. She said the boy had always said: “One day, I will steal your money since you are accusing me of what I did not do. He had also been cursing that one day; I will slaughter you and throw you inside the toilet for accusing me wrongly.’

All these came to pass that night as the father started shouting at him to provide the money he took from his room, the boy got angry and picked up a cutlass and pursued his father as I tried to intervene, he almost cut me,” the widow said.

She further explained: “I had to call for help, I went out to call people, including the youth leader because it was a bit late at night, before I came back with the people in a matter of minutes, the deed had already been done, he had already killed his father and dumped him inside the pit toilet behind the house.”

Blood trace

She added : “When I came back with the people I went to seek help from, they asked him where his father was, he replied that he does not know, so they started searching for him, then they saw a blood trail, which they followed right to the pit toiletand saw that he has butchered the monarch with a little flesh just holding his head to his neck, pushed off the mud which covered part of the toilet so that the opening could allow the lifeless body into the toilet.”

Speaking further, she told NDV that they apprehended him and handed him over to the Police and her husband embalmed in the house.

At the deceased’s residence

Meanwhile, when NDV reporter got to the house of the village head, his kinsmen, including the children were seen eating. One of his daughters, Favour Francis Ekpo, said: “She was not around when the incident took place, but she knew that her elder brother and father have had little issues for some time. She further asserted: “I was called on the phone when the incident took place because I was not at home I only came back to see what happened.”

See How a Lagos hotelier turned a job seeker into a sex worker

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a hotelier, Victor Obano, for allegedly turning a 23-year-old female job seeker into a commercial sex worker in the Ijegun area of the state.

The police said Obano, who owned Tisa Hotel, allegedly lured the victim, Elizabeth, from Akwa Ibom, promising her employment in Lagos State.
Obano allegedly thereafter turned the job seeker into a sex worker in the hotel.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Elizabeth, a mother of two, reportedly got tired of being a commercial sex worker, and on October 5, told her elder sister on the telephone what she was going through.
The sister was said to have informed the police at the Anti-Robbery Squad of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, leading to Obano’s arrest.
Our correspondent gathered that another accomplice, a commercial sex worker, identified as Grace Edet, who allegedly was Elizabeth’s supervisor, was also picked up by the police.
Speaking with PUNCH Metro at the command headquarters, Ikeja, Obano, who admitted to have brought the victim from Akwa Ibom, said he only assisted her to find a means of livelihood.
He said, “I am the manager of Tisa Hotel in the Ijegun waterside. I am not a human trafficker. It was only this lady that I brought from the village. I met with her father and he explained her predicament. She is 23 years old. She has two kids and she was living a miserable life. So, I decided to get a job for her.
“The police arrested me because I seized her phones. They said I did not want her to contact her family members, but I collected her phone because I did not want her to have an affair with several men.
“It was her elder sister who reported the matter to the police. The victim is with her brother presently. The arrangement was that I would be paying her and she would also hustle in the hotel and send the money to take care of her father.
“The police should let this matter be settled amicably. It is a family issue.”
The accomplice, Edet, told our correspondent that Obano had instructed her to train Elizabeth in commercial sex.
She said, “I have worked in the hotel for some years. I am a commercial sex worker. When the manager came back from Akwa Ibom earlier in the year, he returned with the lady. He handed her over to me, saying I should teach her some tricks of the trade.
“I did not know the arrangement between them. When I asked the lady why she was brought, she replied that she was asked to hustle at the hotel. So, I do not have any fault in the matter.”
A police source told our correspondent that Obano allegedly had more girls he used as commercial sex workers in his hotel.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the suspects, said the command would not tolerate any form of crime, urging the public to always avail the police of credible information.

Suspects arrested for stealing two bicycles worth N3m, sales them for 10,000

The police in Lagos State have arrested two suspects, Umaru Babangida and John Samuel, in connection with the stealing of two exotic sports bicycles worth about N3m.
According to Punch, the bicycles belong to a resident of Babatunde Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, identified as Osarenkhme Afe. It was gathered that the stolen items, a Scott X10 hybrid bicycle and a giant defy advanced carbon fibre road bicycle, were valued at N1.1M and N1.9m respectively.

Twenty-year-old Babangida, was said to have bought the Scott X10 hybrid bicycle from Samuel and other suspects at large for N10,000.

They were apprehended on October 22, after the case was reported to the police at the Maroko Police Division.

Punch gathered that Afe had come back from morning jogging on September 14, when he discovered that the bicycles had been stolen.

It was learnt that the thieves had crept into the building when a security guard manning it had slept off, stealing the guard’s phone and the bicycles.

One of the suspects, Babangida, told the police that he was initially suspicious that the bicycle was stolen, but decided to buy it after assurances that there was no problem.

He said,

“I bought the bicycle from a man that was brought to me by John (Samuel). I bought it for N10,000 but he didn’t give me a receipt. The man said it belonged to him and that I should not worry.”
Samuel denied the knowledge of the theft, saying he only facilitated the selling of the bicycle to Babangida.
“I met a man on the road and he said he wanted to sell a bicycle. I told him I didn’t have money and took him to my friend, Babangida. I didn’t know it was stolen,” he added.
A police prosecutor, Inspector Philip Osijale, on Monday arraigned the two suspects before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court on three counts bordering on stealing and receiving stolen property.

The charges read in part,

“That you, John Samuel and others now at large on September 14, 2016, at about 6.30am, at Babatunde Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area, within the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal one giant defy advanced carbon fibre road bicycle valued at N1.935,000, and one Scott X10 hybrid bicycle valued at N1.1m, property of one Osarenkhme Afe, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section  285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.”
The defendants pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum by a presiding magistrate, Mrs. M.B. Folami.

The case was adjourned till December 21, 2016

Opposition parties in The Gambia have picked a single candidate to stand against President Yahya Jammeh in the 1 December presidential election, in the biggest opposition alliance in the country since independence, the AFP news agency reports.

Businessman Adama Barrow of the main opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) beat candidates from three other parties at a convention held in the capital, Banjul.

Mr Barrow, 51, is quoted by AFP as saying:

We have put our differences aside for the interest of this country. Gambians are tired of 22 years of Yahya Jammeh's misrule and will end it come December 1st when we go to the polls. We all have to join hands to save this country from destruction."

The Gambia, a popular tourist destination because of its beaches, has never experienced a democratic transition of power since independence.

Mr Jammeh took over in a 1994 coup - his critics accuse him of running a repressive state, an allegation he denies

Tears as daughter Of Olubadan of Ibadan dies in auto crash

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, lost his daughter, Mujidat Alagbada, in a fatal accident on Tuesday.

He said,

“Olubadan is sad because of the death of his daughter. She was the wife of a popular music promoter, Alagbada. She was going to her shop when her personal vehicle broke down. She chartered a taxi but on the way, the taxi was involved in an accident around the tollgate in Lagos.

“She later died of injuries she sustained in the accident. The Olubadan has received support from Ibadan elders and council of chiefs. She was buried on Wednesday according to Islamic rites.”

Efforts by Punch correspondents to speak with the special assistant to the king was unsuccessful as his mobile telephone number was switched off.

What's going on between Lilian Esoro and Ubi Franklin?

A year ago, actress Lilian Esoro-Franklin and music mogul, Triple MG record label boss Ubi Franklin, tied the knot and it's been all roses, love and a baby since then.

Yesterday, October 30. Ubi Franklin opened his super-duper Restaurant and Bar, TiltTerrace and it was well attended by friends, fans and well wishers. But noticeably absent was his beautiful wife Lilian.

Someone drew our attention to Lililan Esoro's page, and we couldn't help but notice the actress hasn't been wearing her wedding ring for sometime now. In addition, she is currently in Paris with their baby, and she didn't promote her husband's new restaurant on her wall.

Ubi on the other hand is wearing his ring and posted this five days back.

Despite the sweet words, there was no acknowledgement from his wife, Lilian.

Some oh her followers even pointed out Lilian's very loud silence.

While she acknowledged the comments of some of the posters, she didn't respond to these ones above.

Even Mabel Makun promoted the restaurant opening on her page. So if Ay's wife can create awareness on the event, why didn't Lilian do same?

Are we missing something? Is there a storm in the Franklin home?

Checkout How Scared man jumps into Ogun river over sounds of gunshots, drowns

A 31-year-old man, Gafar Ajibola, jumped into Ogun River in Oniyanrin, Abeokuta and drown, while running away from policemen during a raid.

Vanguard gathered that Ajibola was washing his clothes at the bank of the river, when he reportedly heard gunshots from policemen, who were allegedly raiding the community. Out of fear, he jumped into the river.

It was gathered that some policemen from the state command stormed Oniyanrin community close to Agbeloba in Abeokuta, in the early hours of Saturday, to raid some criminal hideouts.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, explained that the policemen were carrying out their constitutional duties, chasing hoodlums in the area and not the deceased.

Oyeyemi, however, said investigation had been launched to unravel the culpability or otherwise of the policemen that carried out the assignment, saying they were just on routine operational duty of providing residents adequate security.

He said: “The information I got is to the effect that policemen had gone to raid criminals’ hideouts. There are places around that area known for harbouring criminals. So police usually go there to raid.

“Some people were arrested and after investigation, they were released. It is surprising that somebody jumped into the river when the police were performing their duties in the area.

“The case is under investigation, but police were in that place to ensure safety of lives and properties. The Police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered an investigation into the matter.

“I am assuring you, if police officers are found culpable, the law will take its course. Police are there basically to carry out their duties.”

When Vanguard visited the family house of the deceased, the family were in grief.

Speaking with newsmen at the scene of the incident, a man who claimed to be an uncle to the deceased, but refused to mention his name, said: “It was true that he went to the river to wash his clothes, but the sporadic shooting by policemen made him jump into the river.

“Since Saturday, we have been searching for him, before we found his body today (yesterday). We want justice because. If we fail to take legal steps, it will be very bad. We are going to take legal step against the police for this action.”

Fuji stars, K1 and Sefiu Alao finally end their 2-year fight in Abeokuta

K1 and Sefiu Alao exchanging pleasantries at a wedding in Abeokuta

The long standing cold war between two of Nigeria’s leading fuji musicians King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal(K1) and Alhaji (Dr.) Sefiu Alao (Agbara Orin) may have ended.

For those who don’t know, their beef started a while back when Sefiu Alao released a live video CD titled ‘Oba Mewa‘ where he analysed the origin of the endless conflicts among Fuji artistes and went ahead to call out the name of K1 as one of the major architects of the fights.

The move infuriated K1 who has since ignored and stayed away from Sefiu, until now.
That’s after the duo ran into each other at the wedding ceremony of one of their big mutual fan, Sulaiman Omidina otherwise called Sule Yoboro‘s daughter’s wedding in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Friday October 28, 2016.
The society wedding which took place in an expansive marquee within Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) had K1 as the artiste on the band stand, while Sefiu Alao was there as a long-time friend of the bride’s father.
At the wedding, K1 and Sefiu Alao exchanged very warm greetings and even posed for photographs together, a move in the fuji world that signifies the end of a fight.

Policeman Stabs "Tout" To Death Over N100 In Lagos

Image result for oshodi market lagos
Pandemonium erupted on Saturday at Berger bus stop area of Lagos, after a policeman, who was a passenger on a 14-seater bus end route from Ibadan, Oyo State, reportedly stabbed a motor park tout, popularly called agbero, to death.

The deceased was identified simply as Ahmed and was reportedly planning to marry in December.

The policeman was said to be serving in a command outside Lagos.

One of Ahmed’s friends, according to Punch's report, had stopped the bus with the inscription, Success Express, and demanded N100 from the driver, who reportedly declined to pay the money.

In the ensuing argument between the driver and the agbero, the policeman, who was at the front seat, reportedly got off from the bus.

Ahmed had gone to the scene to know what transpired.

“But the policeman suddenly brought out a sharp knife and stabbed him (Ahmed) in the stomach. He held the policeman for a while and slumped. He stood up, staggered and slumped again. The policeman put on trousers usually worn by riot policemen,” an eyewitness, Goke Adeleke, said.

Ahmed was said to have been taken in the bus to the Lagos State Accident and Emergency Centre at the Ojota Tollgate, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

A friend of the deceased, who identified himself as Agberoko, said men of the Rapid Response Squad at the bus stop released tear gas canisters to rescue the killer cop.

Agberoko said, “The RRS men shot into the air and also fired tear gas canisters to disperse us when we intercepted the policeman. They rescue and took him into the Armoured Personnel Carrier stationed in the area.”

At the scene, shortly after Ahmed’s corpse was brought back to the bus stop, his friends went violent, and vandalised the bus. The angry mob also hurled stones at the RRS’ APC as the operatives drove off from the scene.

A trader, Taibat Adejare, who was in tears, said Ahmed was decent among his counterparts.

She said, “He just came out around 4pm today (Saturday). He ate a snack with a bottle of drink. It was about an hour after he came out that the incident happened. He was very peaceful and jovial. He didn’t force drivers to pay. The policeman stabbed him with a poisonous knife.

“I was joking with him some days ago that he should go and marry. He said he was planning marriage already and that it would come up in December.”

POLICE REACT
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, however, said the suspect is not a policeman, adding that the corpse had been deposited in a morgue.

He said, “A group of social miscreants allegedly engaged one Sulaiman Anafi, a driver in charge of a Mazda commercial bus with number plate, XB 251 LEM, in a brawl at the Berger bus stop, inward Lagos, over parking ticket.

“In the process, one of the passengers in the bus reportedly stabbed one of the area boys in the area with a knife and he died on the way to a nearby hospital. The suspect has been arrested. He is not a policeman.”

Waitress Having Sex With Customer Outside The restaurant

A waitress has been caught on CCTV having s3x with a customer outside a restaurant. The woman was seen straddling the long-haired man at 11.20pm just minutes after the restaurant had closed.

The two started with having s3x on a chair - and the lady caught lifting her uniform to expose her breasts.

But the flustered pair had to stop sharply when another waitress bursts through the door to collect dirty plates from the tables at the cafe in the northeast of Thailand. The embarrassed girl pretends not to notice the horny pair as the woman quickly jumps off the padded black chair and collects the glasses.

The clip went viral after being leaked and shared online by a fellow staff member who asked to remain anonymous.

He said: "The man had been waiting until after the bar closed. They thought it was quiet and that nobody would disturb them.

"Unfortunately for them there are cameras everywhere. They could have just waited another 30 minutes and found a room."

And this isn't the only amorous couple caught getting down and dirty recently.

A woman caught on camera performing a sex act on her boyfriend in broad daylight told police not to stop them when officers tried to break the randy pair up.
