The tennis star revealed on Thursday that her boyfriend of almost two years Ohanian had popped the question after whisking her away on a surprise trip to Rome.
Williams, 35, shared the news on Reddit by posting a poem, writing: 'At the same table we first met by chance / This time he made it not by chance / But by choice / Down on one knee / He said 4 words /And I said yes.'

Apparently, so much has been said online about Ubi Franklin & Lilian Esoro's marriage hitting the rock; some blaming the wife while others pointing fingers at the husband. But please permit me to share my honest opinion on this matter. I just hope I don't get bashed for airing my opinion just like i did on Ogbonna Kanu's marriage proposal to Laura Ikeji.

Having been around women, here's what i know about them. Women are die-hard lovers. Trust me. They love more than we men do. Apparently, I've come to understand that when a woman truly loves a man, he really doesn't need to fight hard to win her over. I'm not saying the man has to be perfect, No! But If the woman loves the man that much, she would cover up so many things for him and also believe in him.

Having said that, without little or no experience about marriage, i might not be the right person to address this issue, but to my own little understanding, when you truly love someone, the kind of perseverance you have with them will totally be different. You as an individual will always play reasonable in every part in their lives. Now, talking about marriage vows being exchanged at the alter of God, permit me to ask this simple question.

Why should real Christians go to the alter of God in the first place when he/she knows there's no such thing as genuine love in their heart but selfish desires? So, you marry a person you don't love? A person you don't respect?
Because If you respect your partner and the alter where the name of the Almighty God is called, you can't come and make promises to mere humans and forget about it all; most especially now that a little child is a product of your matrimony.

Like I'll always say, marriage takes both people being willing to work through the issues. A marriage only works if you're willing to work for the marriage and as well putting God first because God is Love.
So Lillian, please permit me to say this with all due respect.. "Your marriage wasn't based on love my dear" and i honestly think you both don't love yourself that much.

Because if you do, prior to your wedding I'm very sure there are behaviours that are evident if you have taken enough time to get to know your husband. Certain attitudes and habits of his should not be a surprise, because when you made those commitment to your husband, you were committing to his whole being. It's rare that people turn into a new person after marriage.

So if your husband has something that bugs you, more than likely it bugged you prior to jumping the broom, now is the time you must deal with it. If it's really wearing you down, communicate how much it is affecting your relationship with him and see there is a compromise between you both. Accepting defeat or divorce is a no no at this point for you both, and as you know love heals all wounds.

Rob Kardashian Wants To Quit Reality Show Rob & Chyna To Focus On Getting Better
Rob Kardashian reportedly wants to quit his reality TV show Rob & Chyna after he was rushed to hospital with diabetes complications.
The star - who was admitted to hospital earlier this week after suffering complications with his Type 2 diabetes - is apparently suffering from stress.
He wants to stop the cameras running so he can focus on getting better and spending time with his fiancee Blac Chyna and their daughter Dream.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: 'He doesn't want to do the show anymore, he just wants to live his life with Chyna and Dream and not have to worry about doing a TV show.
'He is stressed and not out of the woods with all his issues and he would rather have them not broadcast to the world.'
Rob was rushed to hospital in Hidden Hills, California, earlier this week before being released the next day and friends believe stress was a major cause of his medical emergency.
A source told Us Weekly: 'He's been so stressed out, so [he's] not taking care of himself or eating right. Stress affects his diabetes.
APC plotting to Bomb My Jet-Wike
Wike explained that the target was for the state APC to get rid of him in its desperate bid to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party-led government in the state.
Maintaining that no one had the ability to destroy what God had blessed, the governor added that the opposition party in the state was not happy that he was paying workers’ salaries and pensions to retirees despite the economic recession.
Wike, who spoke on Thursday at a thanksgiving service organised by the state PDP in Port Harcourt, criticised those calling for bloodshed in the state for selfish reasons.
The governor said blood would continue to flow in their families.
He explained that God would continue to grant him victory no matter how hard the APC leaders in the state planned to eliminate him.
“They said they will blow the plane that I will board. You are plotting, do you know whether God will blow your own plane before that time?” the governor said, adding that the state was under constant assault by the leaders of the opposition party.
Reacting, the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Chris Finebone, said the allegation by Wike underscored the extent the governor had become frightened by his (Wike) own shadow and past iniquities.
Finebone added that Wike’s utterances at the PDP event in Port Harcourt on Thursday was symptomatic of someone caught committing a crime and decided to pour dirt on anyone in sight.
“Governor Wike’s accusation that the APC is planning to bomb his plane simply underscores the extent the governor has become hysterically frightened of his own shadows and his past iniquities.
“It is quite unfortunate that Governor Wike has become helpless in dealing with the outcome of his past actions, but constantly suffering psychological relapses.
“However, it is unfortunate that for want of credible defence of the many serious accusations against him, Governor Wike is resorting to raising wild accusations against the APC.
“Nigerians now have a proof of the person that prides himself in threatening to kill people and definitely the person is not of the APC,” Finebone added.
But describing Rivers as a peaceful state, Wike stressed that the APC was planning to cause crisis in order to create a wrong impression.
Observing a minute silence for those who were killed during the December 10, 2016 legislative rerun election in the state, the governor maintained that the APC used security operatives to kill and intimidate those who insisted that there would be no rigging.

After his first wife's tragic death in 1996, the actor got married to Jumobi and they are now blessed with four kids.

The mayor refused to resign since the nude photo went viral on social media.

: "I and my boyfriend drove down to access bank situated at NNPC bus/stop, Ejigbo to make some transactions via ATM this afternoon.
Lo and behold we met a queue and had to join it. Meanwhile, a guy was making multiple withdrawals and other customers started grumbling cos it was just one machine that was dispensing cash.
Just as he was abt to roundup, a lady appeared from behind in tears and held on to d man making d withdrawals.to d astonishment of everybody,we asked d lady what d problem was and she said d guy in question tricked her at UBA bank ATM at iyana Ejigbo bus stop some minutes ago by acting as though he wanted to help her effect withdrawals and only to tell her that her card was bad and while giving her back her card,he have her a wrong card haven gotten her PIN number.

61-year-old man Abducted & raped 10-year-old girl in hotel for months in Abia
Onyeukwu was arrested following intelligence policing strategy of the state Police Command.
The suspect was paraded alongside a fake Nestle food manufacturer, armed robbery suspects, burglars and cultists, before newsmen on Wednesday.
Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Adeleye Oyebade, said the operatives of the Central Police Station Aba, swung into action and arrested the man.
He added that the victim had been taken to hospital for medical attention.
“The suspect confessed to have been sleeping with the little girl for months in the hotel,” the CP added, noting that the suspected rapist will be charged to court soon

"KENYA AIRWAYS-
Nobody I know praises my country Kenya and KQ like I do whenever I'm in foreign Countries.
But it's sickening that sometimes I would have to just be patriotic, smile and lie about bout how amazing KQ is when I have personally had the worst experiences with KQ in my entire life of Traveling.
No airline has disappointed me as much as Kenya airways and trust me I travel a lot so I have experienced other airlines more that once or twice.
Just in 2016 the number of times they have lost my bags and had to find them and return (after ranting on snapchat), delayed flights, Get luggage with missing items as petty as perfumes etc among common tendencies.
It even got worse as the aircraft Air conditioner stopped working while at a stop over in Brazzaville heading Kinshasa.
The entire plane was literally heated up and People were almost suffocating (it's an aero plane you can't open no damn windows). We had to evacuate the aircraft so they can manually pump air for almost 1 hour before take off.
Like really!!! I have always fought KQ battles. I'm always defending them no matter what I always pledge they're the best in Africa and would personally take pics like this out of Patriotism not that I'm even paid to do so!!!
But you Always let Kenyans and Our visitors down. It's very sad so many people suffer with KQ. But They're so soft and weak to complain or even talk about it anywhere. Congo Floods Leave Scores Dead, Thousands Homeless
Torrential rains caused the Kalamu river, which flows through the city of Boma, to overflow for two hours before the waters receded, washing some of the victims across the border into Angola.
"The rains on the night of Monday to Tuesday in Boma have caused at least 50 deaths," Jacques Mbadu, governor of Kongo Central province, told AFP, adding that a search was still going on for "more bodies that may be buried in the mud".
"We buried 31 bodies on Wednesday and we expect to get about 20 more bodies back today that ended up across the border in Angola," Mbadu added.
Mbadu said the waters hit a peak of two metres (six feet) above their usual level, destroying at least 500 homes and leaving several thousand people homeless.
Boma, which lies near the mouth of the River Congo around 470 kilometres (300 miles) southwest of Kinshasa, is the country's only Atlantic port.
"This is a cyclical phenomenon which happens every 10 years. It last happened in January 2015 but with climate change it's now happened again in December 2016," Mbadu said.
Several locals told AFP that two of the city's three districts were still covered in mud, up to a metre deep in some places
Nurse Pulls Off Baby’s Hand During Delivery
An auxiliary nurse, identified as Oyekanmi, has been arrested by the police for her role in the death of a baby she took delivery of in the Odogunyan, Ikorodu area of Lagos.
It was learnt that the victim’s mother, Adeola, had been taken to Oyekanmi’s residence last Saturday when she went into labour.
Oyekanmi, while attempting to force the delivery, was said to have pulled off the baby’s hand.
She was said to have advised that the child be taken to the Ikorodu General Hospital, where the dead child was finally delivered.
Doctors at the hospital were reported to have queried the baby’s parents on what truly transpired, and they opened up. The hospital management then alerted the police to the incident.
A source told Punch that Oyekanmi was picked up by the police.
The source said, “What happened was that the auxiliary nurse tried to deliver the woman of the baby, during which there was a complication. But she continued and in the end, the hand of the baby was pulled off while she tried to force the child out from the mother’s womb.
“Afterwards, they quickly packed the woman together and brought her to the general hospital. It had become a critical case by then. The remains of the dead child were brought out, while the matter was reported to the police.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, and said:
“The doctor at the hospital discovered that something was amiss after taking a close look at the dead child and seeing that one hand had been pulled off. All the parties were invited to make statements. It is a case of infanticide; investigations are ongoing.

Militant Planning To Bomb Third Mainland Bridge Arrested
A top commander of the group, Abiodun Amos, who is also known as Senti, an Ijaw from Arogbo, Ese-Odo area of Ondo State, who is also said to be the group’s explosive expert, was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT), who trailed him to a river bank at Majidun, Ikorodu, Lagos.

Two AK47 rifles hidden in a “Ghana-Must-Go” bag were found with the suspect. He led the IRT operatives to a vehicle parked discreetly within Ikorodu, where a large catche of dynamite and detonators was recovered— from its boot.
It was also learnt that Amos’ arrest followed intelligence generated by the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), which was passed on to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, indicating that the group was at its final stage of carrying out an attack on the Third Mainland Bridge—Africa’s longest at 13 kilometres.
The IGP, who was said to have been miffed by the report, directed his operatives at the IRT, led by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Abba Kyari, to investigate the report. It was confirmed that the group was actually planning to blow up the bridge at the end of November. The group, detectives discovered, had acquired large quantities of dynamite and several other explosives for the attack.
In October 2016, the group, which has no known identity and was notorious for pipeline vandalism, kidnapping and bank robberies, demanded for amnesty, threatening to disrupt the economy within Lagos and Ogun states if the Federal Government did not dialogue with it and grant its members pipeline protection contracts.
The leader of the militant group, known as “General” Ossy Ibori, who coordinated most of the bank robberies and high profile kidnappings, including that of three schoolgirls at Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School in Ikorodu, four landlords at Isheri North, Oniba of Ibaland, Oba Goriola Oseni and many others within Lagos and Ogun states, boasted in an interview that his group had over 21 “generals” commanding 7,800 battle-ready boys.
He added that the group was rich enough to fight the Federal Government as it had acquired thousands of military grade arms and ammunition, which he said would be deployed in disrupting the economy within Lagos and Ogun states, should the Federal Government fail to dialogue with the group and grant its wishes.
Sources told The Nation that the IRT operatives made several arrests within Ikorodu and other parts of Lagos State. One of the suspects is said to have given the police the information, which they used in trailing and arresting Amos, who was on his way into the creeks.
The 43-year-old suspect confessed that his group was formerly into pipeline vandalism but they resorted to kidnapping when it became difficult for them to vandalise and sell their stolen petroleum products.
According to him; "We went into bank robberies and kidnapping because we wanted to get government attention and all we wanted was for them to grant us amnesty and also offer us pipeline protection contract. We have made several appeals and the government is not listening to us. “General” Ossy said ‘if we don’t blow up the Third Mainland Bridge government’ they would not listen to us. We had concluded plans and we decided to carry out the attack by November ending. I am the group’s explosive expert and before I was arrested we were going into the creek to conclude plans on how to carry out the attack.”
Police spokesman Don Awuna, a Deputy Commissioner (DCP) said: “Yes, an individual was arrested. On sighting the policemen, the second suspect jumped out of his car and escaped into the bush, abandoning the operational vehicle.
