Vladimir Putin will lead Russia for another six years, after securing an expected victory in Sunday's presidential election.
Mr Putin, who has ruled the country as either president or prime minister since 1999, got more than 76% of the vote, official results show.
The main opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, was barred from the race.
Addressing a rally in Moscow, Mr Putin said voters had "recognised the achievements of the last few years".
Speaking to reporters after the results were announced, he laughed off a question about running again in another six years.
"What you are saying is a bit funny. Do you think that I will stay here until I'm 100 years old? No!" he said.

I Rope MC Oluomo,Olorunwa,Austin Eletu because they refused to help me- More Shocking Confession of Notorious Ade Lawyer
From where he sat on the floor, rolling his eyes from one side to the other, no one could easily guess how many lives 39-year-old Adeola Williams, popularly known as Ade Lawyer, could have taken in the past 10 to 20 years until he opened his mouth to confess.
Many of those present during his confession couple of days ago were therefore taken aback when he revealed that he had killed over 100 persons.
He said that assassinating people was his source of livelihood for over 10 years, then he added; “But now I’m born again."
Williams, a father of three from Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State, was recently arrested by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team over the killing of one Ganiyu Ayinla, aka Pinero, who was the personal assistant to Azeez Adekunle Lawal, the National Union of Road Transport Workers chairman in Idumota, Lagos. The incident took place on January 23.
While giving account of his activities, he said, “Assassination has been the source of my livelihood for more than a decade now and I know I have taken many lives that I can’t even count but God knows I am a new person now.
“If I get a chance to regain my freedom in this life, I will never go back to crime again. I also advise the millions of youths out there that crime does not pay. I was into crime for over 20 years and despite the risk involved and lack of rest of mind, I have nothing to show for it except the uncompleted three-bedroomed bungalow in Ibadan.
“I have nothing on ground to fall back on despite taking the lives of more than 100 Nigerians as an assassin. May God forgive me.”
The Punch reports that Willliams also revealed how he was once arrested and remanded in Ikoyi prison in 1998 for stealing a wristwatch belonging to late fuji musician, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, at a show in Lagos Island.
He said, “A fight broke out when he was about leaving the hall and I found my way to the front where I succeeded in snatching his watch from his wrist. People saw me struggling with his bouncers and the next day, they brought policemen to arrest me in my mother’s house.”
Eventually freed in 2001, he said he went back to being a bus conductor and driver in Ajah – the same job he was doing before he went to prison. He said he joined the NURTW, Ajah Branch, where he was made a park attendant.
Through his years in NURTW, he said he worked for the likes of Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, Akanni Olorunwa, who was once a chairman of the union in the state, and one Mustapha Sagoe, who took over his unit initially.
However, Williams said he decided to take the life of Kunle Poly for refusing to talk to the state chairman of the union, Tajudeen Agbede, on his behalf. He said he worked hard for Agbede to emerge as the chairman but that he was dumped after the election.
Williams added, “I thought about my predicament because my wife was heavily pregnant and the money I was getting from Oluomo wasn’t enough and I wasn’t ready to use my gun for armed robbery, so I decided to end the life of the man who refused to help me mend my relationship with Agbede.”
He said after the attack on Kunle Poly, he was later arrested but that he didn’t want to go down alone, thus he indicted some other persons.
He added, “I decided to rope in Olorunwa because he was the one who ruined my life. It was my support for him during his fight with MC Oluomo that made me to lose my position at the union. After he was removed from office, he had so much money but he was wasting it on women and movie actors and he refused to help me.
“If he had given me good money after he left office, for staking my life for him, I won’t have been roaming about looking for who to kill. I was just so bitter, so I framed him. I made up the story that he paid me N500,000 to kill Kunle Poly and I also lied that I seized his vehicle because he was owing me a balance of N1m.”
He said he also decided to rope MC Oluomo as the person who sent him because he expected him (Oluomo) to come to his aid but that he didn’t show up, until he “finally decided to come clean and say the truth and give my life to Christ. I also lied earlier that I worked for Prince Kazeem Aletu during the fight between him and Oba Elegushi.”
“Though I didn’t know Prince Kazeem before, I have heard his name very well before and I asked for assistance from him several times through somebody who knows him but he refused to help me, and that was why I mentioned his name too. But now I am a born-again Christian and I will always say the truth and stand by the truth.”
Meanwhile, police sources said efforts were on to arrest the remaining gang members still at large.

Kenyan Armed robber demands refund of bribe he paid to police
A suspected robber shocked so many in the court in Machakos County of Kenya after he requested that the Police refund him the bribe which they collected from him after they initially agreed to quell the case.
According to the Daily Nation, Mutinda Kilonzo revealed to the court that he was escorted by police officers to the bank where he withdrew an amount of Sh200,000 and paid to them to fulfill his part of the agreement aimed at his release.

Mutinda Kilonzo is quoted as having told Kithimani Senior Resident Magistrate, Gilbert Shikwe that:
“I was escorted from the police station to KCB Matuu branch in a police vehicle and taken back to custody after withdrawing Sh200,000, which was to be shared between the police officers and the complainant to settle the case and get me freed.”
To prove that he was telling the truth, the suspect reportedly presented a bank slip to the court indicating that he had indeed withdrawn the money on March 8 at 15:59pm.

Records at the Matuu Police Station gave credence to the suspect’s claim as documents showed that he was arrested on the night of March 7 and booked in under reference number OB3/8/3/2018, at 2am.
The records indicated that on the day of the said bank withdrawal, he was still in police custody.
The suspect emphatically said:
“Your honour, now that I have been produced in court, please help me get back the Sh200,000 I gave…because it was meant to secure my freedom.”
He is being tried together with accomplices, Kelvin Mutunga, Samson Mutavi, Solomon Mutuku and Mwandikwa Sulai for robbing one businessman, Michael Matheka.
Per the charge sheet, the robbers broke into Michael Matheka’s electronic shop on different occasions between November 30, 2017 and February 17 this year, and stole goods valued at Sh350,000.
As if that was not enough, they again broke into the victim’s house and made away with five television sets, six mattresses, one motorcycle, clothes and other household goods, all worth Sh674,500.
Morocco Plans To Spend $15.8Bn If It Gets 2026 Soccer World Cup

Morocco has proposed using 14 stadiums and budgeting to spend 15.8 billion dollars on infrastructure if it wins the right to host the World Cup soccer finals in 2026, the country’s bid committee announced at a news conference today.
But Morocco will not build any new stadiums for the tournament, preferring to renovate and modify existing venues and add temporary capacity to others, said candidature chairman Moulay Hafid Elalamy, who is also a government minister.
The North African country is up against a joint bid from Canada, Mexico and the United States when world soccer governing body FIFA’s member countries decide in Moscow on June 13 who will host the tournament eight years from now.
Saturday’s news conference revealed details of Morocco’s bid book, which was presented to FIFA on Friday, with the central theme being making their football infrastructure sustainable after the tournament and keeping down construction costs
Halima Abubakar & Susan Peters Slam each other On IG
Halima Abubakar has openly called out fellow actress, Susan Peters on Instagram and even going as far as warning the actress not to comment on her page again! Halima had made a post saying, people shouldn't forget to check on their 'strong' friends, ('strong' in this term means 'sick', you know most of us are guilty of that ). Then Mercy Johnson quickly commented saying Halima should call her.
Susan Peters who thinks she can jump on the 'joke' also commented in Hausa (we can't translate), but Halima got upset and asked her in English language, 'what is funny? you never called me in two years even when i almost died, I greet you too Susan'. Seeing that open insult, Susan couldn't take it, especially knowing she is older, so she gave it back to her; 'How do you call someone you can't reach? When you block someone. Don't go there!'
Then Halima came back 'Then don't comment on my page'. Susan fired back, 'You can unfollow me please'. Then Halima let it slide, knowing it is her page and she started the drama. We however can't say if that continued on the phone, or Mercy Johnson jumped into Halima's DM or that of Susan to caution them. Their munched conversation below...

Meet the woman who jogs naked in order to look young (photos)

A Ukrainian jogger enjoys running through the snow naked. Inna Vladimirskaya, 32, says that she jogs and swims in the snow every weekend for the past nine years because, she believes that the freezing temperatures are what keep her looking young and healthy.
This brave swimmer certainly has a brrracing workout each weekend – she skinny dips in one of the coldest rivers in Europe – which regularly plummets to temperaturess of -9C.

The thrill-seeker says she’s been carrying out the bizarre ritual for nine years – often alongside her husband – because she believes the freezing temperatures keep her looking young and healthy.

Inna said:
‘Every week I take a run in the snow naked and then plunge into the water.Immersion in cold water makes the blood rush to the internal organs, activating their circulation, which helps break down fat and improve muscle tone.It also helps beat muscle and joint pain and rejuvenates my skin, because of the increase in oxygen supply to it.Her swim was captured on camera by Czech photographer David Tesinsky – who had heard of her ‘crazy’ ritual from locals who see her skinny dipping every weekend.

‘The walrus looks much younger than its actual age, because it spends so much time in cold water.‘Humans can reap the same benefits if they are prepared to put the hard work in.‘I just make sure I don’t stay in the water too long, and as soon as I am out I dry myself and go straight to my warm car.’

Her most recent escapades were captured on camera by photographer David Tensinsky, who heard of her freezing and naked jogging rituals from locals who have seen her skinny dipping or jogging every weekend.
