NDLEA Destroys Hectares Of Cannabis Sativa In Plateau



The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has destroyed 5.93 hectares of Cannabis Sativa in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau.

The NDLEA Commander in the state, Mrs Ngozi Madubuike said that the farm, located at Zampit village in Shimaka district of the area, was located after a tip off.
She told newsmen on Monday in Jos that the value of the destroyed Indian hemp stood at N670, 380.

She however mentioned that the operation was carried out in collaboration with soldiers of 332 Artillery Battalion, Shendam. She disclosed that eight persons, including a woman were arrested, while the farm was burnt down by the operatives. Five guns were also recovered from two of the suspects.
