A member of Kaduna State House Assembly, Alhaji Bello Gimi, has urged traders in the country to reduce the prices of their goods during the Ramadan.

Gimi, who represents Makarfi constituency, said such gesture would ease off the burden faced by most Nigerians “to even feed themselves.”
The lawmaker told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kaduna that it was very disturbing that prices of commodities tend to spiral during the Ramadan.
“We have to advise them to reduce the price of their goods so as to help the poor and earn maximum reward from Allah during the Holy month of Ramadan.”
Gimi reminded Muslims of the promise of Allah to double rewards for good deeds during the month.
“We hope our marketers will hear this and not use the opportunity of the fasting period to hike prices of good."
“Rather they should bring down the prices so that people will be able to buy what they need for this fasting and enjoy the period,” he said.
