Foluke Daramola-Salako’s Husband tells why he always celebrates her
The couple got married traditionally on February 15, 2013 and legalised their union in 2016.
Four years on, Kayode Salako, who is married to Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola, would tell anyone who cares to listen that his wife is the best thing to happen to him. He has done this several times to the consternation of some people but he hasn’t kept quiet.
An educationist, activist and businessman, Kayode granted an interview to an online TV platform on Sunday, August 6, 2017 and he said of his wife,
“Celebrating and proudly identifying with Foluke Daramola-Salako publicly most times is deliberate and personal to me. It is not that I don’t have good relationship with other people, especially women or I have not lived with a woman before, but what Foluke deserves is what she has been getting from me.
Apart from the fact that she is a good, decent, responsible and value based woman, I owe her that honour to contribute to the polishing, elevation and promotion of her brand and image identity as her hubby and as a partner in the maintenance of her brand personality. Above all, identifying with her publicly every time, is my way as a man to let her know she is unique and appreciated. And she feels so anytime she hears or reads what her husband says about her. It is deliberate and the core reason is very, very personal to me. When the time comes, the world would read it in a book I am working on and putting together why I do most of the things I do around her. To some people, she might not be perfect for the situation. But, to me, she is perfect for the divine purpose for which God Himself deliberately brought us together. Foluke and I have perfect understanding of why we are together. In spite of all, we do. However, the best aspect of Foluke that I cherish is her heart; her principles; her resilience and her guts…”
Meanwhile, his wife, actress Foluke Daramola also said on many occasions that she would not leave her husband even if he’s caught in the act with another woman.
She told Tribune in 2016:
“I have found that a lot of Nigerians are sadists and just want to bring people to that place of sadness that they are, unfortunately, no one will bring me to that place of sadness because my marriage is intact, I’m happy with my life, it doesn’t mean we don’t have our challenges because we are human beings, but if I have any challenges with my husband, it will never be on the pages of newspapers or social media.
No matter what happens, it cannot degenerate to me leaving my husband because he is not a wife beater or an abuser, but as for infidelity, I can handle it very well.”
