Eleven foreign crew, including eight Poles, kidnapped by pirates off Nigeria in October have been freed and are safe, Poland’s foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
“The crew of the Pomerania Sky taken at the end of October have been freed. All the sailors including the eight Poles are in a safe place and waiting to return to their families,” Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said, cited by PAP national news agency.
The ministry did not give details about how the crew were freed.
