He married me a virgin, but stopped making love to me three-months after our wedding- wife cries to court

"My husband,Ezekiel Obeji, who married me as a virgin, stopped making love to me three-months after our wedding, he also impregnated his `sister’ in our matrimonial home," a 31-year-old businesswoman, Mrs/ Francisca Obeji, told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos today.Obeji told the court that her husband of seven years impregnated a woman he introduced to her as his 'sister’.

"Four-months into our wedding, he brought a young woman home and introduced her to me as his 'sister’.

"He told me that she would be living with us and I accepted, because I didn't know all his siblings.

"After some months, this his 'sister' got pregnant and my husband ran away with her to an unknown destination and sublet our apartment to another tenant without my knowledge.

"I had to vacate the apartment that day as the new tenant moved in immediately my husband absconded.

"When I heard that my husband did the traditional wedding with his so-called 'sister,' I travelled to his hometown to confirm from his parents.

"His parents told me they could only accept a fertile woman as their wife, while they advised me to go and look for another man to marry.

"I do not know where to trace my husband as he had relocated elsewhere from the shop I established for him and had also changed his cell phone numbers," she said.

Obeji accused and called her husband, who had failed to appear in court after being summoned severally, an ingrate.

"Ezekiel is ungrateful and I now know that he never truly loved me; he was only after my money.

"When he approached me for marriage, he was jobless, but when he pleaded with me to allow him join me in my business, I accepted.

"After our wedding, he took over the business from me," she said.

She also alleged that her husband turned her into a punching bag, almost beating her to the point of death within the few months of their living together.

She, therefore, pleaded with the court to dissolve the union, saying she was no longer in love and that she would like to move on with her life.

The court president, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, ordered the petitioner to submit an affidavit of service that would enable the court to continue with the matter despite the respondent's absence.

Omilola, however, adjourned the case to Aug. 30 for further hearing.

Cruel Couple Lock 84-Year Old In Basement For 9 Years To Steal His Life Savings

A cruel husband and wife kept a vulnerable pensioner prisoner in his basement for nine years while they stole his life savings.

The 84-year-old was imprisoned in the cramped cellar of his home while the unscrupulous couple took him for £74,000.

Serbian couple Slavoljub Kostic and his wife Nadezda, who worked in real estate, took advantage of the old man after he put his house on the market. The pensioner was locked in the cellar of his home in the town of Pavia, near Milan in north-western Italy, without running water, heating or even a toilet.

Realising he lived alone and had no-one to look after him, they volunteered to move in and help until the sale went through. But, instead, they stole his savings and locked him in the basement.

The pensioner was given only enough food to survive and was forced to live in terrible conditions. But eventually the evil couple's luck ran out when police rumbled their game and found the ailing pensioner in his basement prison.

The couple were arrested at their nearby home and convicted of kidnap and theft after a trial.

Slavoljub Kostic has been jailed for three years and six months while his wife Nadezda was jailed for three years and two months.

'How i found out my wife was sleeping our pastor, our kids are for other men- Hubby slams wife in court

A 49-year-old businessman, Mr Andrew Ndubisi, on Wednesday prayed an Igando Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve his marriage to his wife, Saraphina, alleged to be promiscuous.
The petitioner also said that his wife was secretive, as she had two previous children to two other men before they were married.
Andrew said she failed to bring it to his knowledge.
“My wife had two boys from two men but did not tell me before we married.
“After our marriage, she brought them to live with us and I was paying their school fees.”
“My wife is promiscuous, she dates different men,” Ndubisi told the court. He also alleged that the wife had an affair with their pastor.
He accused his wife who had a daughter for him in their four-year marriage of adultery.
“My wife is a flirt, she dates different men. I have caught her severally with some of her lovers.
“She is also having an illegal affair with our pastor.
“I got to know when her cell phone rang and she left our room to receive it.
“I trailed her behind without her knowing and l eavesdropped; she ended the call with, ‘I love you’.
“When she returned, I secretly copied the number unknown to her and saved it on my cell phone.
“When I dialled the number on my cell phone, it was our pastor’s name that appeared on its screen.”
He said that Saraphina was too demanding adding that despite the fact that he was always meeting her needs, she was in the habit of stealing his money.
“She once absconded with my daughter to an unknown destination and demanded N30,000 from me before she returned with her.
“I had to send her the money”.
He urged the court to dissolve the marriage, alleging that his wife could infect him with sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV due to her adulterous acts.
Saraphina, 42, also a businesswoman, however, denied all the allegations, saying that instead she had been faithful to her husband.
“I have been faithful to my husband since we got married. I am not dating our pastor, he is just a spiritual father to me,” she said.
She told the court that her husband was hot tempered and was always beating her.
“My husband was always beating me at any slightest provocation; I had suffered injuries in my eyes on three occasions from his beatings.
“He once stripped me naked in public and beat the hell out of me.
“There was a day he beat and pushed me down from the staircase and l lost my two-month-old pregnancy.”
She said that her husband also had three children from different women.
It was my husband, Andrew that sent me packing from our matrimonial home after he threatened to kill me.
“I left his house with my daughter then. He later begged me to return which I did and he forcefully snatched my baby from me.
“Up till today, I have not set my eyes on my daughter,” she said.
The president of the court, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case till Aug. 23 for hearing.

EFCC traces another $5m given to Fayose by Obanikoro

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered another $5million (N1.040billion) cash allegedly handed to Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose by former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.
The said cash was part of the N4.7billion funds traced to Obanikoro’s company, Sylva McNamara.

Out of the $5 million, EFCC’s investigation by the EFCC has shown how Fayose allegedly gave his associate, Abiodun Agbele, over $1million as part-payment for the acquisition of four chalets in Lagos.

Problem started when Agbele took the $1million to a Bureau De Change (BDC) operator, Ahmed Uba, who transferred the cash to Still Earth as part-payment for the properties.

Ekiti State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General Kolapo Kolade, during interrogations, admitted that he facilitated the agreements for the four properties.

The Nation quoted a top source in the commission as saying that Fayose allegedly received N1.219billion from Obanikoro.

The source added that the Ekiti governor also got another $5m cash (N1.040billion) from the ex-minister.

“Our investigation so far has shown that out of the $5m Fayose gave Agbele $1million which Agbele gave to a BDC operator who transferred the money to Still Earth as part-payment for the properties bought.

“Going through the accounts of Fayose, you could see a lot of transactions. Kolapo Kolade , now a commissioner in Fayose’s cabinet was the one who arranged the agreement between Still Earth and J.J. Technical.

“We have interrogated the owner of the BDC Jamil Uba, who told us how he asked his staff to attend to Agbele. Jamil said ‘I instructed Abba Ahmed Uba to transfer the money into Still Earth accounts because Abba Ahmed Uba was working under me that day when Agbele sold $1million at the rate of N208, which is equivalent of N208million.”

“Agbele got Maroun Mechleb, a Lebanese and contractor to the Ekiti State Government to provide a company, J.J. Technicals Services Limited whose name was used in making the agreement for the sale of the four chalets in Victoria Island by Still Earth.

“J.J. Technicals Services belongs to Maroun Mechleb’s junior brother, Joseph and his brother-in-law. They gave him the company’s document to help them prospect for contracts in Ekiti State. He gave the company’s document to Agbele without their knowledge.”

“I noticed that Still Earth Company newly bought the property from Noga and had not perfected their papers.

“The staff of Still Earth said they could get Noga Hotels to make an agreement directly with my clients, J.J. Technicals so that they don’t do double consent but the money she asked for was ridiculously high and going through the document, I saw that the lawyer that acted for Noga Hotels is one Adekunle Ojo, who incidentally is my friend.

“I told my client, who asked me to discuss with Lawyer Adekunle Ojo if he could work on the agreement between Noga Hotels and J.J. Technicals Services. I called Mr. Adekunle Ojo, he agreed , he said his chambers will collect N500,000 if he did that. I told my client, they said he should go ahead.

“The money was given to me and I paid it into his account. When the documents were ready, he handed them over to me and I handed them over to Agbele and one white man who both came to me to collect same.

“The white man signed and they took the agreement away and gave me N500,000 as my fees. That is all I know about the first two chalets.

“After about two months or thereabout, Agbele called me that he has given my number to the Still Earth people and they will call me. Later that day, someone from Still Earth called me that I should send my e-mail address. I did and the person sent to me an offer letter in respect of yet another two chalets in the same estate on Victoria Island.

“I told Agbele and he said I should accept the offer. I did by replying the e-mail. I didn’t hear anything again until one day Agbele called me again that I should help him collect documents from Still Earth Limited in respect of the two chalets.

“This second set of agreements was made between a company called Signachorr and J.J. Technicals Services. I took them to Ado-Ekiti and handed them over to Agbele. The white man did not come with him the second time.

“Agbele said I should help him approach Mr. Adekunle Ojo to help him write an agreement between Noga Hotels and J.J. Technical Services. I did and Mr. Adekunle Ojo sent the second set of agreement . I was also given N500,000 for him which I also paid into his account. I was also paid N500,00 for my efforts.

“When I approached Mr. Adekunle Ojo to help write an agreement between Noga Hotels and J.J. Technicals in respect of the two sets of agreement, he demanded for copies of the agreement between Still Earth and J.J. Technicals as a confirmation that J.J . Technicals actually bought from Still Earth.

“I was given a copy of the agreement to give him and I actually gave him. He also called to inform me that he also confirmed from Still Earth that J.J. Technical actually bought the properties before agreeing to prepare the agreements. I don’t know who J.J. Technical is.”

Suspected Militant Man Kidnapped 2 Children In Igando, Lagos

Gunmen believed to be militants, Tuesday, night kidnapped two children of same mother at the Igando area of Lagos State.

The children aged six and eight were allegedly whisked away from Ojo Olorunfemi Street while playing with their mates at their residence, 43, Oje Olorunfemi street.

The development came barely two weeks after the traditional ruler of the area was kidnapped and released.

It was suspected that the kidnappers might have been led by a barber on the street, (DeClassic Barbing Salon owner), who has been arrested by policemen in Igando.

Although the kids were yet to be found, a security source told The Nation that five suspects, including two militants were arrested at Igando and Isheri-Osun.

A gateman who gave his name as Oseni said: “We did not hear of any ransom. The thing is that the parents are keeping the whole matter under wrap for their own safety because we are not even sure if it was an organized crime for just kidnapping children. I have been a gateman here for six years now and I have never witnessed any kidnap here.

“This is the first and I hope we never get a repeat. I think the kidnapper took those children through the adjoining gate on the street because if he had taken them through the main street, people would have raised an alarm. Problem is none of us really knows this barber since he just moved into the street not long ago. I know the woman more. She hawks corn in the area.”

Ondo guber: Tinubu has no preferred candidate – Boroffice

The Senator representing Ondo North, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice, has faulted the claims in some quarters that national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu has anointed a candidate ahead of the governorship election in the state.

Boroffice said all the 25 governorship aspirants have the chances of emerging the governorship flag bearer.

The senator in a statement issued in Akure, through his media aide, Kayode Adeniyi, described the rumour of endorsement as needless distraction that would never aid its promoters.

He called on the party’s 3,000 delegates to remain vigilant and steadfast as some desperate politicians might have ignited the rumour in an attempt to derail APC’s focus on free, fair, credible and transparent primary election.

Boroffice said he got assurances from Tinubu, former interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande and party leaders in the Southwest geopolitical zone that there was nothing like anointed aspirant or endorsement.

The Asiwaju of Akokoland said: “As an aspiring and democrat, I have had intimate interactions and engagements with party delegates over the years.

“The support I enjoy from them is reassuring. No distraction, whether calculated or accidental, can derail our focus on August 27, the scheduled date for primary election. My supporters and I are ready to participate and win.”

Presidency begins probe of GEJ, wife, over alleged link to Niger Delta bombings

A top government source, quoting intelligence reports, told PT that it had now been established that some of the oil installations bombed in the Niger Delta had actually been mined while GEJ was in power, just before the 2015 election, by some of the militants and operatives known to be very close to him.

The source said: “The mining was meant to be a “Plan B should they be removed from Aso Rock. The plan then was to cause confusion if the 2015 presidential election did not go as expected.

However, when GEJ surprisingly conceded defeat, there was both disappointment and confusion in their camp, causing a suspension of the agenda. But by February, 2016, the plan was reopened as several of the backers were getting investigated on different corruption cases.

GEJ himself was concerned that himself and his wife could be prosecuted, including on money-laundering charges where investigators said evidence against the wife has already been amassed. It was at that point that the bombing activities under the banner of the Niger Delta Avengers started.

Their backers and sponsors are said to include GEJ, his wife, Tompolo, Kinglsey Kuku and Olisa Metuh among others. The mining was done by some of the militants that GEJ trained under the amnesty programme, and those who acquired the needed expertise, besides their knowledge of the Niger Delta creeks and terrain.

In addition to the mined installations, intelligence reports also stated that the NDA and their backers and operatives also had the capacity to dive in and out of water to damage and bomb the installations, adding that the FG had drawn up the full list of all those that were trained and equipped in those skills under the Amnesty Programme.

The game plan of GEJ and his associates was to cause enough economic damage in order to force Pres. Buhari to pursue a political solution to the corruption cases on which investigations were already advancing against them. This is to avoid prosecution and the attendant unprecedented shame of having a former president go to jail.”

Egypt state TV orders female anchors to lose weight or lose their jobs

The Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) has given the women who work for the state owned TV and Radio station one month to lose weight before they can appear on air again with an "appropriate appearance", the Al-Yawm al-Sabi website reports. The ERTU has a female director, Safaa Hegazy, a former state TV anchor herself.

This order led to an outcry among the affected presenters and women's rights groups in the country.

One of the hosts on Egypt's Channel 2 station, Khadija Khattab, said the audience should watch her most recent TV appearances and judge for themselves if she is really "fat", and whether her weight should prevent her from working.

Another presenter complained bitterly that the situation had upset their families and that this situation of their weight issue should have been dealt with internally.

The Women's Centre for Guidance and Legal Awareness condemned the move, saying it "violates the constitution" and is a form of violence against women. It's called on the ERTU to backtrack.

Journalist Fatma al-Sharawi says the policy should apply to all local TV stations, while academic Waheed Abdul Majid says the channel should pay more attention to its content - not its hosts' appearances.
Reaction on social media has been mixed, with some supporting the women and others calling them "bakabouzas" - a term for overweight girls.

A twitter user said: Some of them might be a little overweight, but they are eloquent".

Despite the backlash, sources from ERTU said they will stick by the decision. The State TV has since pulled eight female TV presenters off air until they lose weight, adding that the hosts will still be paid their salaries and benefits during their stand-down period.
