Three men, including an official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, were nabbed by the Police for attempting to kidnap businessman Femi Otedola. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Mr. Don N. Awunah, Force Public Relations Officer.

The kidnap was foiled by the Inspector-General of Police's Intelligence Response Team.

The arrest, Police said, was achieved through coordinated intelligence gathering and deployment of technical investigative tools that spanned several weeks.

The principal suspect, according to the Police, is one Ikechukwu Daniel, a 28-year-old indigene of Imo State, who was rusticated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for cultism during the in 2009/2010 academic session.

Daniel aso functions as the Information Technology expert of the gang. He was said to have made disclosures about their criminal activities in the South-West geo-political zone of the country.

Also arrested is Adeyemi Kayode, a 29-year old serving officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). He is said to be a native of Ibadan, Oyo State. Until his arrest, he served as a Personal Assistant to the Commandant, NSCDC Oyo State Command. Kayode was said to have taken undue advantage of his office to obtain Mr. Otedola's mobile telephone number and location. He came up with the plan on how to kidnap Mr. Otedola, with the intention to demand a ransom of N1billion.

The third suspect, Ayodele Temitayo, also a native of Ibadan, is said to be the marksman and armorer of the gang. The Police said he claimed to have been dismissed from the Maiduguri-based 213 Battalion of the Nigerian Army as a Private in 2015.

All the suspects were said to have made confessional statements revealing that they had successfully carried out several high-profile kidnappings. Items recovered from them were two AK47 rifles loaded with live ammunition. The Police also disclosed that efforts have been stepped up to arrest other members of the gang.

The statement quoted the Inspector-General of Police as urging members of the public to provide the Police with the information to fight crime, promising that such will be treated with confidentiality.

Confusion in Lagos after corpse of a man was found in a bag of rice

There was pandemonium at the Oyingbo area of Lagos State after residents reportedly discovered the corpse of a man, believed to have been strangled, inside a sack of rice. The deceased was dumped beside a canal at the Jebba bus stop.

An eyewitness, Saheed Ijadun, told the Punch that the deceased, whose face was unfamiliar, was tied on the neck with electric cables, while his hands and legs were also tied.

According to Ijadun, “He was killed by hoodlums and dumped around the canal. The policeman was the one who raised the alarm. I believe the deceased did not live around the area as some said the man was abducted from another area, killed and then dumped by the canal.

“When the sack was opened, I saw that he wore a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. There were also electric cables tied around his body,” the resident added.

Confirming the incident on Tuesday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said it was gathered that the sack was initially thought to contain rubbish, until a policeman, attached to a commercial bank in the area, checked it and found the corpse.

“The matter was reported at the Denton Police Division.

“The police have obtained clues on the killers and they would soon be arrested as we are working tirelessly to unravel the case.

“We are optimistic that we will arrest the suspects in no distant time.

“Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit have evacuated the corpse

When asked why she decided to offer her virginity to Boko Haram in exchange for the Chibok girls, "I was filled with sympathy and was ready to do anything to help get those little kids out of that devilish state they were in."

Spiritualist dupes lady of N208,000 after three days ‘marathon’ sex

A self-professed spiritualist, Lukman Olanrewaju, has been dragged before a Magistrate Court in the Ejogbo area of Lagos, for allegedly luring and engaging a woman, Adeniran Mutiat Jumoke, on a three-day marathon s*x "deliverance service".

The accused pretended to be delivering his victim from abject poverty and apart from engaging her in a marathon sex, Olanrewaju also obtained the sum of N208,000 from her before letting her go.

The saga started when Olanrenwaju met Jumoke who complained she was not doing well and needed spiritual assistance to uplift her to success.

The 35-year old fake spiritualist then promised to assist her but asked her to pay the said amount. He told her that the money would be used to buy some materials for special prayers.

The Oyo State-born also told her that she will subsequently embark on spiritual deliverance which involves doing 'things extraordinarily'.

The man informed her that he will engage her s*xually for three days and thereafter, perform other rituals after which she will become rich at a certain period.

The incident happened at 14, Akinlegan Street, off Dele Ara Bus stop, Abaranje, Ikotun, Lagos.

Things went out of hand after she gave him the money and did everything he wanted her to including sleeping with her for three days but there was no improvement.

Her condition reportedly became worse.

It dawned on her that it was a scam after she decided to return to the ‘spiritualist’ but met the house evacuated.

Jumoke, however, reported the matter at Idimu Police Division, which led to Olanrewaju’s arrest.

He confessed to have defrauded her as he had no such power to cure poverty.

He was charged with conspiracy, s*xual assault, stealing before the presiding Magistrate, Mr. A.A. Fashola on Monday.

In his ruling, Fashola granted Olanrewaju bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The Magistrate adjourned the matter till December 5 for mention.

You have no power to stop arrested judges' trial-President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has challenged the powers of the Federal High Court in Abuja to stop the prosecution of judges accused of engaging in acts of corruption.

Mr President insisted that the high court was bereft of the jurisdiction to entertain a suit filed by a Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Olukoya Ogungbeje, with a view to stopping the Federal Government from arraigning seven judges arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS.

Recall that trial Justice Gabriel Kolawole, had on October 28, summoned President Buhari and the Director-General of the DSS, Mr. Lawal Daura, to appear in court and show cause why the embattled judges should be tried.

Others equally ordered to appear before the court were the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, and the National Judicial Council, NJC.

They were all cited as Respondents in the suit.

The plaintiff applied for an order of perpetual injunction restraining the Respondents from arresting, inviting, intimidating, or harassing any of the judges whose homes were raided by the DSS.

He said the arrest and detention of the judges without recourse to NJC, is not only unconstitutional, but also aimed at ridiculing the judiciary arm of government.

According to him, the action of the DSS is in gross violation of the rights of the judges as enshrined in sections 33, 34, 35, 36, and 41 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

Consequently, Ogungbeje sought 10 reliefs from the court, including award of N50 billion as general and exemplary damages against the Respondents, as well as another N2 million as cost of the suit.

He equally prayed the court for an order compelling the DSS to return to the judges’ money seized from their homes.

Justice Kolawole had at the last adjourned date, declined an ex-parte motion for an interim order stopping the FG from carrying out any “untoward action” against the Judges.

Rather, he directed the plaintiff to put all the Respondents on notice to enable them to appear in court to show cause why prayers contained in the suit should not be granted.

Meanwhile, challenging the competence of the suit, President Buhari, via a preliminary objection filed by his lawyer, Chiesonu Okpoko, argued that the plaintiff did not disclose his locus standi to initiate and maintain the suit.

He said there was no lis (case) between the plaintiff and the Respondents, adding that “the applicant’s suit as constituted and conceived, is a mere academic exercise and raises hypothetical issues.”

President Buhari said before the plaintiff could invoke the judicial powers of the court as enshrined in section 6(6) (b) of the 1999 constitution, he must show how his civil rights and obligations were affected or would be affected by the act complained of.

EFCC Plan to Go After MMM

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has confirmed ongoing surveillance on the MMM investment scheme.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, gave this indication in an interview with Daily Post on the sidelines of a training programme in Port Harcourt.

Uwujaren, however, said the House of Representatives cannot direct the EFCC to investigate what he described as faceless wonder bank like MMM.

He said the anti-graft agency was also watching other online schemes that promise huge returns on investments.

The EFCC spokesman said preliminary investigations have shown that such online schemes thrive in countries that are facing economic recession.

He warned that there was big chance of desperate subscribers on such platforms of losing their investments.

“We can only arrest people based on the evidence that we have. The House made a resolution but the resolution is a public announcement.
We have always been advising people not to patronize wonder banks because experience over time has shown that their activities are not sustainable.
If you get involved in it, you will eventually get hurt. What we are currently doing is to sensitize people. We know people want to make quick money as a result of recession through this MMM.
The unfortunate thing about this MMM is that it is not a Nigerian firm but we are looking at and we will still tell the media whatever we find out,” Uwujaren said.

Bride and groom forced to have sex in front of wedding guests (Photos)

A new video from the Chinese media shows that a couple were forced to have sex as their guests gleefully cheered.
At the beginning of the two-minute clip, the bride and her groom sat under a red 'lucky' duvet, barely dressed.

Then, several female guests asked the couple to take off their pants.

A pair of grey leggings, believed to belong to the bride, was taken off the bed by an excited friend of hers. The bride then handed her red underwear to her friend.
After a while, the groom followed suit handing his black underpants to the guests.

Under the pressure from the wedding guests, the naked couple hugged each other in the bed.
But the guests were not satisfied.
Afterwards, another female guest tried to help the couple have sex by pressing the bride's buttocks against the groom's body through the duvet.

The guests could be heard laughing hard. However, they were still not satisfied.

After they made sure the couple were in a correct position for sex, they pulled away the duvet to expose their naked bodies.
The groom immediately snatched the duvet to cover himself and his wife. The guests again burst into laughter.
Their wedding bedroom was decorated with many red ornaments, a lucky colour in China.

Authorities of UNIOSUN explain why they sacked randy lecturer

Osun state University (UNIOSUN) authorities, has given reasons why a former lecturer of the institution, Dr. Olabode Ojoniyi, who was involved in a sex video scandal was sacked.
Fielding questions from newsmen during an interactive session in Osogbo yesterday, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Labode Poopola stated that the randy lecturer was disengaged from the institution to send warning signal to others who are also in the act or may want to involve themselves in such act in the future.

He expressed disappointment that a lecturer who is supposed to be a parent or guardian to the students could engage in such ‘immoral’ act.

He said,

“We have to nip the scandal in the bud. Whatever has happened in UNIOSUN happens in any profession. Just that it is worse if it happens here (UNIOSUN). Because a lecturer is supposed to be a parent. It is worse, it is an immoral act and should be condemned.
The system has laid down methods of dealing with any one that engages in such. There are disciplinary measures, no lecturer will have infractions on our values and won’t be disciplined.
If you followed the story, you will realise that this university is a product of law and non of its statues can be stampeded. When we find someone defaulting, the university takes all necessary steps.
On this matter, the university took all the steps at all levels – Departmental, Faculty, Senate. Whatever you might read lately is the decision of the council. I am not in a position to say what next will be done.
When asked whether Ojoniyi’s doctorate degree could be withdrawn, he said,
Degrees are earned and worked for. UNIOSUN can’t strip him of his degree but wherever he got it from. Degrees are issued on learning and character.”

Man kills step-daughter, sells head to herbalist son for N3,000

A 63-year-old man, Korede Odubela, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his 16-year-old stepdaughter, Amudat Oshimodi, for ritual purposes.
The suspect was said to have connived with another accomplice, Lekan Lawal, to commit the crime at Imosan village, in the Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state.
Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said Odubela, who was the leader of the gang, connived with Lawal to strangle Oshimodi, after which they sold her head and hands to ritual killers.
The police commissioner said the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad received information about their activities and swooped on them on Monday, November 7, 2016.
Odubela said he connived with Lawal to kill his stepdaughter because the 16-year-old girl was always stealing her mother’s money.
He said, “The mother said we should kill her as a sacrifice for other children she had. She (Oshimodi) normally slept by the outside door. On that day, around 12 midnight, I invited Lekan Lawal, and he held the girl by the neck and strangled her while I held her legs.”
Odubela said he sold Amudat’s head to his son, Seun,  a herbalist who paid him N3,000, as part payment. However, Odubela’s wife, Fausat, denied asking her husband to kill her daughter.
Iliyasu said the case was still under investigation, while the corpse of Amudat had been deposited at the morgue of the Ijebu Ode General Hospital.

I couldn't get the humour initially until I read through again. He shared the photo above and said;

So @cossyojiakor and I were on the same flight to the USA last month... I had crossed Immigration and even checked in and realized she had not called to say she had checked in... called later and found out they held her back at the airport for 2 hours. Why? I asked her. She said they said something about "No dairy products allowed"... Still don't get it.
