Made Men Music Group (MMMG) record label singer Tekno was rumoured to be getting set to sign a global record deal with Sony Music. According to the reports, his deal is said to be worth more than Davido's. Ubi Franklin and Paul O.

These reports have been confirmed as Tekno has just signed mouth watering deal.

AY Makun breaks own Guinness World record with ‘A Trip to Jamaica’

"A Trip to Jamaica", a movie by comedian, Ayo Makun, popularly called AY, has beaten the box office revenues of all the big budget Hollywood and Nollywood titles released in 2016 here in Nigeria.

Just last week, AY told the media that he remains confident the financial situation of the Nigerian economy will have little or no effect on his 2016 movie ‘A Trip To Jamaica’

AY had every reason to stay positive as the movie which premiered on September 30, 2016, has grossed over 137million Naira, and counting to smash the Guinness world record of “30 Days in Atlanta”, a previous movie produced by him.

AY excitedly broke the news of his new record, on Monday, via his social media page saying:

The story I just received about big boy Seun Egbegbe is very embarrassing...

According to Bode X, Toyin Aimakhu’s ex-boyfriend Seun Egbegbe was caught in computer village while trying to run away with stolen iPhones. 

"Eye witnesses said he came into Keelcech Innovations store in computer village, took two latest iPhone7 and seven iPhone6 plus and told the sales girl he is/was coming and then crossed to enter a taxi.

It was after he left it done on one of the sales rep that someone packed phones so they rushed and caught up with the thief and behold it was Seun Egbegbe. 

In the process, he gave one of his staff the latest iPhone 7 and that staff escaped but Seun was caught. 

He was beaten and he begged that nobody should take his picture. He has been taken to the police station. 

MORE: Further reports from Porsche and I-Reporter revealed that Egbegbe went to Computer Village with some guys in a jeep around 10:30am pretending that he wanted to buy 7 iPhone 6s and 2 iPhone 7 mobile phones. He went into the phone store ‘Kaalcech Innovations and Consultancy’ located on number 9 medical road, computer village, Ikeja and requested for nine iPhones. He pretended to be ready for payment after the phones were delivered to him only for him to elope into the waiting jeep before the the sales girl screamed for help. The noise which attracted sympathizers, helped as they gave Egbegbe a hot chase and eventually caught up with him before he could find his way out of computer village. 

He was beaten by the angry mob before the store’s MD, Mr Kolawole Aleshinloye quickly informed the police who came and whisked him away to Area F Police station where he’s been detained."

Mother cries for justice over beheading of her 3 children

The bereaved mother, who narrated her story in Tiv told the Vanguard she has only one child left.
She said the three slain children were her 10-year-old girl, identified as Terdor, who is also the eldest; 8-year-old Terna Embelga, a boy; and another girl, Sulumshima Embelga, 6.

According to her, the three of them went to have their bath in a nearby stream called Jookwa alongside eight other children in the evening of October 30.

She narrated, “When they (all the 11 children) finished swimming, they decided to fetch water with their buckets for their use at home.

“On their homeward journey along the bush path, two men suddenly emerged from a farm rice and grabbed one of my three children in the group by the neck.

“While the other children in the group threw away the buckets of water they were carrying amid the ambush and ran for their dear lives, my two other children decided to fight back and rescue their sibling from the assailants.

“The escaped children brought the news home. Immediately, my husband, fellow villagers and I mobilised to the scene of the attack where we found the headless bodies of the three children in the pool of their blood. It was horrifying.

“Beholding the headless bodies, I thought I would die. There were other items lying on the ground at the scene of the crime.

“The items include a weird looking cap, substances believed to be hard drugs and a blood stained shirt.

“We didn’t see the heads of the children. They may have been taken away for ritual purposes.

“I had four children. With three of them killed in cold blood, I am left with only one that I am breastfeeding. It all shows the seriousness of the insecurity in the land.”

Taraba State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP David Misal, confirmed the incident and said the command was investigating the crime, adding that no arrest has been made so far.

Fashola Warns DISCOS: Stop Blackmailing Federal Government

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has warned electricity distribution firms (DISCos) to stop blackmailing the Federal Government. He said they should prove how much Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) are owing each of them.

Responding to the newspaper advertorials that the DisCos have been running under its umbrella body, Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors (ANED), he said the group was being economical with the truth.

He accused ANED of failing to tell Nigerians that each of the DisCos has not presented the alleged debt profile to the Federal Government.

Fashola spoke at the monthly power sector meeting in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. He insisted that debts are paid by quantification but not by estimation.

He reminded them that the privatisation exercise that handed over the assets to the power companies was between the government and each separate DisCos and not through an association.

Kanye West Hospitalised After Cancelling His Concert

Looks like Kanye West was really exhausted, which was why he cancelled the rest of his concert and agreed to refund ticket money to his fans who had bought tickets for the concert.

Reports have it that he has been hospitalised in Los Angeles after abruptly cancelling the remaining dates of his national tour.

His action followed days of erratic behaviour, during which West ranted onstage about Jay Z and Beyoncé and walked offstage after just three songs.

Reports claim that the Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call at 1.20PM (U.S West Coast Time). West was transported via ambulance, and had to be restrained for refusing to go.

Sources said that no criminal activity was involved; and that the decision to hospitalize West was for ‘his own health and safety’, adding that he was stressed and exhausted.

Kalu Joining APC Is A Big Plus For Our Party – Okorocha

                           
Governor Rochas Okorocha has said the defection of former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu to the ruling All Progressives Congress is a good development for the party and the South-East.

The governor regretted that although he had been persuading the Igbo, especially political leaders in the zone to join APC, but he was blackmailed and called names.

He said current events in the country had exonerated him and shown that he was not just wasting his time. Okorocha noted that with the likes of Kalu now in the APC, the development of Igbo land under the party would be easier.

He said: “Orji Kalu as an illustrious Igbo son is a political asset any political party would like to have in its fold.”

Okorocha urged other frontline Igbo politicians to follow the Kalu’s example.

He expressed delight that Igbo political leaders had begun to respond positively to his clarion call to join APC “where the action is taking place now and will continue to take place with good leadership which the party is determined to offer Nigerians.”

Okorocha said there were no old members and new members in APC because all the members were equal in their membership.

Fake Doctor Arrested After 11 Years’ Practice

The police in Lagos State on Monday paraded an alleged quack doctor, Celestine Yolonfun, who was arrested in the Apapa area of the state.

It was gathered that 32-year-old Yolonfun had been practising as a doctor since 2005 after he dropped out of a nursing school in the Benin Republic.

Punch Metro learnt that Yolonfun was arrested on Wednesday by operatives of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, Yaba.

It was gathered that a pregnant woman, who was due for delivery, allegedly died in Yolonfun’s hospital, and her husband reported the doctor to the police at the SCIID.


A Punch correspondent was told that the police went to Yolonfun’s hospital – Be Well Hospital – on Liverpool Road, Apapa, and arrested him.

Yolonfun, who hails from Badagry, Lagos State, told Punch Metro that he had been practising since 2005 and only two patients had died in his hospital.

The suspect confessed that he paid a colleague N70,000 to obtain fake certificates of the Nigerian Medical Association and the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

He said, “I have been practising since 2005. I did not attend any school in Nigeria. I went to the Benin Republic. I sat for the General Certificate Education two years ago. I wanted to attend a university in Nigeria to study Medicine. But my wife fell sick and I could not.

“I dropped out of a nursing school in the Benin Republic. I came back to Nigeria in 2004, and I started the hospital in 2005.

“Since I started the hospital, which takes care of general ailments, only two persons had died in the hospital. The first patient died in 2013.

“The second patient was that woman who died penultimate Saturday. The woman was pregnant. She also had high blood pressure. After giving her the initial treatment, I planned to refer her to a bigger hospital, but she died before I could move her. Her baby also died.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said the police had contacted all the medical associations the suspect claimed to be registered with and they had confirmed him to be a fake doctor.

He said, “The suspect was arrested and was found to have been in this illegal practice since 2005. He operated a makeshift hospital in the Liverpool area of Apapa.

“We found a fake University of Ibadan MBBS certificate, a fake Dental and Medical Council of Nigeria certificate and a fake Corporate Affairs Commission certificate in his house.

“The professional bodies have been contacted by the police, and the suspect had been confirmed to be a fake medical practitioner.”

See How Driver Stabs In-Law For R*ping His 2-Year-Old Daughter

The Lagos Police Command has arrested a commercial driver, Saheed Wahab, for allegedly stabbing his in-law, Yisa Aweda, in Orile area of the state.

Mr. Wahab stabbed 40-year-old Aweda because he reportedly caught him raping his (Wahab’s) two-year-old daughter. 

Aweda, who was stabbed with a broken bottle in the neck, had also been arrested for r*ping the two-year-old girl.

A social worker with the Lagos State Domestic and S*xual Violence Reponse Team, told Punch that the matter was reported at the Orile Police Division.

He said, “The incident happened on Friday, November 11. The victim’s mother found the suspect r*ping her daughter. After the girl’s mother raised the alarm, her husband stabbed Aweda.

“He injured the man in the neck. The matter was reported at the Orile Police Station. Aweda was hospitalised, while Wahab was arrested.”

The little girl was also taken to the Mirabel Centre, Ikeja, for a checkup.

The DSVRT Coordinator said when Aweda recovered, he would be charged to court

Football club manager arrested for raping teenage players in Lagos(Photo)

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a football club manager, Frank Darlington, for allegedly sodomising three of his teenage players in the Agege area of the state.

According to Punch, it was gathered that Darlington, the manager of Soccer Warriors Football Academy, Pen Cinema, was arrested last Thursday by the Elere Police Division, after one of the victims reported him to the police.

It was learnt that the club manager, who hails from Imo State, allegedly took three footballers to his house on separate occasions after training sessions, and sodomised them.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Darlington’s wife and only daughter, a three-year-old, lived in Imo State, after the two got divorced in March 2016.

The police said the suspect allegedly penetrated the victims’ anuses, and would be charged for sodomy.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, 49-year-old Darlington confessed to the crime, saying he started to rape his players in February 2015.He added that he committed the act to derive pleasure.

The suspect said he, however, stopped molesting his teenage players since July 2016, knowing the implication of his indulgence.

He said, “I have a female daughter, and she is three years old. I manage the Soccer Warriors Football Academy in the Pen Cinema, Agege area. It was in February 2015 that the rape started. I usually had sex with my boys just to play with them. It was romance. We had fun together. The last one I did was in July 2016, knowing that it could get me into trouble.
“I slept with only three of my footballers. There was one of my boys that had not been coming for training since last week. When I asked after him, I was told that he was sick. I did not know that he had reported to his mother and she had told the police.
“I do not know what moved me to be sleeping with them. I have been coaching for about 12 years. My wife stays in the South-East. She left me in March 2016. The sex with the boys was not for any ritual. I only derived fun from it.
“I knew it was a crime and that was why I stopped this act since July. I pledged not to go back into this.”

One of the victims, Kehinde (pseudonym), told our correspondent that Darlington threatened him that he (Kenny) would die if he told anyone about the sodomy.

The 18-year-old said he was forced to tell his mother when Darlington made it a habit.

He said, “He always had sex with me and with most of us. He started last year. The first time he approached me was after a training session. We were on the football pitch and he said my performance was bad and I should meet him at home for a discussion.
“When I went, he and two boys were at home. His wife did not stay with him. He sent the two boys on an errand and asked me to come into his room. He then instructed me to remove my trousers, and he molested me.
“He did not use any protection. He did not give me any money, but he threatened that I would die if I told anyone. I cannot count how many times he had done this to me. I told my mother when I was tired of his abuse. My mother reported him at the police station.”

Another victim told our correspondent that a large number of footballers at the academy had withdrawn because “he always slept with two or three of us every week.”

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the club manager, said the suspect would be charged to court at the end of investigation.

“There is no place for criminals to hide in the state. We enjoin the residents of Lagos to report suspicious movements and persons to the police,” he added.

Woman Sets Her Husband & In-Law Ablaze

A Nigerian man living in Ghana, Benjamin Oyem, has died from injuries sustained as his brother’s Ghanaian wife, Comfort Agboloshie, set the room they were sleeping in on fire.

38yrs old Comfort on Thursday removed her three children, all females, aged four, seven and nine, from the room in which they were sleeping with their father and uncle.

After taking the children to a safe place, she soaked some clothing in kerosene, set them on fire, before throwing them into a room where her husband, 45yrs old Lawrence Nkem and his brother, 42-year-old Oyem were sleeping and locked the door.

According to Punch, the brothers were rescued by neighbours who rushed them to the Tema General Hospital with severe degrees of burns.

Nkem survived and is being treated for severe injuries at the hospital but, sadly, Oyem died.

Ghana's Tema Regional Police Command PRO, ASP (Ms.) Juliana Obeng said the remains of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary [pending investigation].
