It was a tragic day on Thomas Street, Lagos Island when a 29-year-old
man identified as Olanimu Babatunde known in the neighbourhood as a
lover boy and a super stud after he died durning a fivesome sex romp
with four young ladies in his house. They deceased also known as
'Kokomaster' died on March 23 at his house on Thomas Street, Lagos
Island.
According to SUN NEWS ONLINE, 'His young sex partners, now answering
questions on the man’s curious death from the police, claimed that they
never knew Olanimu was dead until around 4am on the fateful day when
they realized he no longer responded to their touch. “We thought he was
enjoying it, so we were taking turns and just having fun. It was when we
realized he was no longer responding that we screamed,” one of the
suspects told the police.
An eyewitness, identified as Jide, who rushed to the scene when he heard
the girls screamed, said that Mr Olanimu was confirmed dead same day.
He said: “The girls, who were already intoxicated at that time, said
they thought he was enjoying it, so they kept going on taking turns and
just having fun. It was when they noticed that he wasn’t breathing that
they started screaming.
People rushed into the deceased’s apartment to find the four undressed
girls and his lifeless body. They immediately alerted the police, who
came few minutes later to arrest the suspects.
In their statement to the police, the ladies said: “We met Olanimu on
Wednesday evening when we were coming from a friend’s birthday party
which we attended at Surulere. We were at a bus stop when a car suddenly
stopped in front of us.
The driver asked where we were heading, we said we were going anywhere
he was heading to. He smiled and asked us to get in. When we all got in,
he enquired if we were hungry, we said yes, so he took us to a
restaurant and we all ordered whatever we wanted to eat. While we ate
white rice and pepper soup, Mr Olanimu ate pounded yam and egusi soup.
“After we finished eating, we continued our journey. Now, it was dark,
when we arrived at Mr. Olanimu’s residence. We got out of the car and
entered his apartment. While we were seated, he asked us what we wanted
and we said we wanted to get high and that he should turn on the music,
so he did and afterwards arranged drinks for everyone. While we drank
and danced Mr Olanimu, started touching us, kissing and spraying money.
Overwhelmed by happiness, we responded and equally caressed him.”
They later ended up in his room and continued what they had started
doing in the sitting room, handling one another, and having sex.
Police investigation, it was gathered, ruled out initial suspicion that
Olanimu probably died of poison. Rather, it was linked to sex induced
exhaustion. The girls were released on bail last Saturday morning, while
the remains of the deceased had since been buried by his family.
When contacted, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP
Olarinde Famous-Cole, said that he was not aware of the incident yet,
but promised to investigate and confirm it later.
China has announced that it is implementing new measures including a ban
on 'abnormal' beards in its heavily Muslim region of Xinjiang.
Veils
have also been banned in public places along with refusing to watch or
listen to state media, as part of the new 'Regulations on Extremisation
of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.' China claims that the legal,
cultural and religious rights of Muslims in Xinjiang are fully
protected.
However many Muslim Uighur people resent increasing
restrictions on their culture and religion and complain they are denied
economic opportunities amid an influx of Han Chinese into the province.
The new rules posted to news.ts.cn yesterday

On March 7, 2017, members of a notorious gang, which specialise in
robbing couriers of online trading stores, shot at an operative of the
Rapid Response Squad, Sgt. Garba Kadiri, while attempting to evade
arrest at Pretty Street, Iyana School, LASU – Iyana Road.
Saturday PUNCH learnt
that through the reports of victims of the gang, the RRS had tracked
down the gang but they shot at the officers before they could be
arrested. But on Wednesday, after days of tracking the suspects,
operatives of the squad, apprehended four suspects.
The suspects,
Wilfred Ehis (30); Bright Eloho (24), Emeka Egbemedu (22) and
Olanrewaju Kamilu (33) were arrested at Olamulti Hotel, New Site, Iba,
Ojo, Lagos. The leader of the gang, Ehis, claimed to be a Chemical
Engineering graduate of University of Benin, Ekpoma, Edo State.
During his interrogation, he told the RRS, “I
operate by placing orders online for expensive phones and goods. I
request the sellers to make home delivery.
“I would give the
seller an address where I know the robbery can be carried out
successfully. When I have made the necessary arrangements, I would then
call my boys to go to the delivery address and rob the delivery man.
“I
didn’t follow them to the robbery scene. It is Nurudeen, alias
‘Onyeabo’ who oversaw the robberies. I know he has a locally made
pistol. I am also aware he recruited other boys to join him in the
robbery.”
“I always stayed behind in hotels. After the robbery, they sold off the phones and gave me my share of the deal.”
Saturday PUNCH learnt that Nurudeen is still in hiding.
Ehis
said the suspect has gone underground since the operatives of the
Special Anti-Robbery Squad picked up one of his friends last year.
“He sneaks into Lagos mostly at night through the creeks from Ogun State,” he said.
The police believe Ehis has several separate gangs who handle his different operations.
He is also suspected of being involved internet fraud and ATM robbery.
The
source added that, Ehis before his arrest stood at different ATM points
in Igando, Ojo, Alaba and Apapa to monitor ATM users, who withdrew
money. He then alerted his gangs, who usually used motorcycles to trail
and rob their victims.
After his arrest, about five victims of
the gang from the Computer Village in Ikeja, besieged the RRS
headquarters at Alausa, Lagos to give information about how they were
robbed.
Two of such victims who came forward on Thursday were Oluwaseyi Sunday and Alabede Habib.
Both
of them in separate statement stated that Wilfred Ehis, who pretended
to be “Barrister Deji”had sometime in February 2017 requested that
expensive phones be delivered to him on two different addresses along
the LASU– Iyana Iba Expressway.
The victims were later robbed by three of Ehis’s gang members operating on motorcycles at the delivery addresses
The sellers claimed they lost N800,000 and N450,000 to the robbery.
Items
recovered from Ehis when he was arrested were mobile phones such as
Tecno, LG 3, iPhone, two wristwatches, a Canon camera EO87D, necklace,
Sony laptop, a wrap of Indian hemp and an ash-coloured Altima salon car.
Blessing, wife of late Chukwuma Eleje, a delivery agent with Jumia, an
online marketing store, who was murdered and thrown into a septic tank,
has said that their four children were still expecting the return of
their father.
Mrs. Eleje, recalled how her husband promised the children that he was
coming back home after the day’s work with a lot of goodies for them,
lamenting that her 38-year-old husband was no more.
It will be recalled that Chukwuma was killed by three assailants at
Shell Location, Mgbuoba, Off Ada George Road, Port Harcourt, where he
had gone to deliver two phones.
The suspected killers, Sodienye Mbatumukeke, Excel Naabe and Joy Eluwa,
had since been arrested by operatives of the Rivers State Police
Command.
But the widow, who spoke on a Port Harcourt-based radio station, Nigeria Info, explained that the deceased was just an ordinary man with four children.
Wondering how she would cope, Mrs. Eleje added that her husband had promised to pay their rent before he was murdered.
“He left for work telling us that he would be back. He promised the
children by telling them he would buy a lot of goodies for them. Up till
now, they are believing that their daddy is coming back. “How will I cope with school fees? Our rent has expired and the landlord gave us one week and now the one week has expired. “Now,
I am hearing my husband is dead; how am I going to cope? He was just an
ordinary man with a wife and four children,” she cried.
On how, she got the news of her husband’s death, the widow explained
that people were gathering at her compound and were telling her “sorry”,
adding that she did not understand what they meant by that until it
became clear that she had lost her spouse
“I did not know that the news had spread everywhere. My family and I
were not aware until when I saw people gathering in my house telling me
sorry. I was surprised, I didn’t understand why they were telling me
sorry,” she said.
