Trump Backs Saudi King On Corruption, Arrests
President Donald Trump expressed "great confidence" in Saudi leaders Monday amid what the kingdom describes as an ongoing anti-corruption push, writing in a tweet, "They know exactly what they are doing."
In a two-part Twitter message sent from Tokyo, Trump said he has great confidence in King Salman and the crown prince, adding some of the arrested people "have been 'milking' their country for years!"
The Trump administration had been quiet about the unprecedented arrests of dozens of Saudi Arabia's most powerful princes, military leaders and ministers, which are widely being seen as a consolidation of power by the nation's 32-year-old crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman. The crackdown began Saturday with little warning.
Among those taken into custody were Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, one of the world's richest men, and two of the late King Abdullah's sons. The Saudi government has described the action as a sweeping effort to combat corruption.

Man poes as a spirit to defraud man of N20 million in Zamfara
EFCC, yesterday, November 6th, 2017 secured the conviction of one Mohammed Yusuf before Justice Zainab Bage Abubakar of the Federal High Court, Gusau, Zamfara State.
The convict was sentenced to 7 years’ imprisonment on each of the eleven count charge preferred against him by the EFCC. Yusuf had defrauded one Ya’u Mohammed to the tune of N20 million between November 2012 and January 2013 in a classic advance fee fraud scheme.
Posing as a ‘spirit’ named ‘Asmau’, based in Niger Republic, the convict was able to convince the complainant through a phone call into believing that the mystery female voice had powers to establish schools and mosques to propagate Islam but needed a human vessel through which this could be achieved.
The complainant gullibly fell into his trap after threats that he either obeys the voice of the spirit or die. Subsequently, the convict began to extort his victim and used the money to buy exotic cars and acquire a mansion in red bricks area of Kano state. The sentences are to run concurrently from the day of his arrest.
Police Arraign Jesu Oyingbo’s Son
The police in Lagos yesterday arraigned the son of self-proclaimed messiah, Jesu Oyingbo, Adebola Odumosu who’s enmeshed in alleged defilement, kidnapping and fraud.
Odumosu was arraigned before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court on four counts of defilement, obtaining money under false pretences, threat to life and violence.
His arraignment followed a petition to the police from his estranged lover, Folashade Olatunji, whose teenage niece he allegedly raped, impregnated on two occasions and made to undergo an abortion.
Odumosu pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted N1,000,000 bail with two sureties in like-sum by Magistrate O.G. Oghre.
The Magistrate ordered that his sureties must provide evidence of three years tax clearance, which must be verified.
She directed that the case file be duplicated to the Director, Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice.
It was gathered that trouble started for Odumosu last week after he allegedly leaked the information of the crime he committed some years ago to a United Kingdom based blogger.
He was said to have given the information to the blogger in order to spite Olatunji, a business rival to the woman he leaked the information to.
Odumosu was also alleged to have leaked nude pictures of Olatunji to the rival, who allegedly shared them on her social media page. He was then picked up and arraigned

Commercial sex worker with charms for attracting customers arrested
A commercial sex worker and suspected human trafficker, Martha Edea, 30, was arrested last Thursday in Lagos, while on her way to Ivory Coast.

Meek Mill Sent To Prison For Violating Parole Terms
Rapper Meek Mill has been sent back to jail for up to four years for breaching the terms of his parole.
A judge ruled on Monday two new arrests meant he had once again failed to live up to the conditions of his release.
However the hip hop star's attorney has claimed the adjudicator has a personal bias against his client, who was convicted of drug dealing and gun possession back in 2008.
The hip hop star's lawyer Joe Tacopina told TMZ he believes Judge Genece E. Brinkley went against prosecutors recommendation for no prison sentence.
Tacopina also claimed she has a 'personal bias' against Mill and they plan to appeal the sentencing.
His attorney claimed last year the judge had a meeting with the rapper in chambers and asked for him to do a remake of On Bended Knee by Boyz II Men and to give her a mention in the song.
He alleged that when the hip hop star laughed off the request the judge declared she was 'not kidding' and when Meek refused she said 'suit yourself'.
The rapper, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams. was skating on thin ice after being found to have violated the terms of his parole on drug dealing and gun possession charges on multiple occasions.

Even though one of the cases, for an alleged airport assault, was dropped the adjudicator decided it was still enough to warrant further punishment.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Young And Gettin' It rapper will spend between two and four years in state prison for his latest violation.
And there was drama in court as the exasperated Judge Genece E. Brinkley told the 30-year-old he had been 'thumbing your nose' at her after she had given him multiple opportunities to go straight.
As she delivered her sentence she told the rapper, 'I’ll be done with you.'
After she handed down her decision the suit and trainers-wearing hip hop star was led away in handcuffs for his latest spell in the clink.
