George Michael's Grave Is Just Next To His Moms

George Michael lies at peace in a north London cemetery right next to his mother Lesley.

His grave has been pictured for the first time in Highgate's quiet West Cemetery, surrounded by greenery and beautiful spring flowers.

It lies on a public throughfare that winds through the old tombs and headstones of the famous graveyard, currently shielded by a fence while the star's final resting place settles.

George, who died at the age of 53 on Christmas Day last year, was devoted to his beloved mother, so his surviving family have placed the two of them in adjourning plots.

42-Year Old Arrested For Raping, Impregnating A Minor

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a tailor, Lucky Emmanuel, for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old pupil in the Ajangbadi area of the state.

It was learnt that the 42-year-old and parents of the girl, who is in Junior Secondary School one, were neighbours and he had been having sex with her for months.

Punch Metro gathered that the alleged crime was reported to the police after the victim opened up, leading to Emmanuel’s arrest on Tuesday.

However, Emmanuel, who was paraded on Wednesday at the state police command headquarters in Ikeja, said he was dating the girl and that her parents were aware.

He explained that it was the management of the school the girl attended that reported a rape case to the police when they discovered that she was pregnant.

He said, “I have two children, but my wife and I are divorced. I don’t know the girl’s age, but she is more than 13.  I met with her parents that I wanted to marry her and they agreed. We had started some traditional arrangements in preparation for the wedding and I had paid them about N80,000.

“I was surprised yesterday (Tuesday) when her mother called me on the telephone to come. On getting there, she said somebody reported to the school authorities that her daughter was too young for marriage. That was why the school took it up.

“The girl and I have been together for over eight months now. I had sex with her twice before she became pregnant.”

But a police source debunked Emmanuel’s claim, saying that he lured the victim while she was hawking plantain in the neighbourhood.

“The girl is 13-year-old. Her mother was here yesterday (Tuesday) and she said she did not know the suspect. She said the girl hawked plantain and the man was one of her customers. He just gave her N500 and raped her,” the source said.

The Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed that the girl was pregnant, said the suspect would be charged to court after investigation.

President Rebelo de Sousa said Ronaldo "projects Madeira and Portugal across the world far more than anybody else".

Judge Extends Hold On Trump Travel Ban

A US federal judge in Hawaii has indefinitely extended the suspension of President Trump's new travel ban.

Judge Derrick Watson's ruling means Mr Trump will be barred from enforcing the ban on six mostly Muslim nations while it is contested in court.

In a lawsuit, the US state says the ban would harm tourism and the ability to recruit foreign students and workers.

Judge Watson made the ruling late on Wednesday after hearing arguments from attorneys for the state of Hawaii and the US Department of Justice.

The judge turned his earlier temporary restraining order into a preliminary injunction that would have a more lasting effect.

President Trump's executive order on 6 March would have placed a 90-day ban on people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen and a 120-day ban on refugees.

Liberian street boy saved by pop star Ed Sheeran

An orphaned boy who moved Ed Sheeran to tears with his harrowing ordeal of sleeping on the streets in a poverty stricken African nation is starting a new life with a 'mother' and four of his closest friends, MailOnline reports.
The youngster named JD was saved by the pop superstar who refused to leave the boy's side until he was safely housed.

With the help of the charity Street Child MailOnline tracked down JD to his new home.

It was discovered that he is a happy, smiling boy far from the cowed youngster who touched the heart of Sheeran when they met while filming for Comic Relief earlier this year.

Now JD has to pinch himself that his life has been so dramatically transformed and told MailOnline he is grateful to Sheeran and the millions of strangers who donated that have helped re-build his life.

In footage seen by millions of viewers Sheeran was visibly moved by the plight of JD.

He heard how he slept rough on the streets, only had one set of clothes and was easy prey for bullying older boys. He was with a group of boys who had been raped and abused by older men.
Having watched him being pushed around by an adult, the singer offered to pay for a hotel to make sure JD and his friends were safe

Pastor Storms Mortuary In Nairobi To Resurrect Wife, But Failed

A pastor and his followers spent the day at Embu mortuary in Nairobi praying with the hope that his wife will resurrect.

Pastor Robinson Githumba, 40, of Eagle Prophetic Church camped at the Gakwegori funeral from 8 am for the mission.

With bibles, they prayed enthusiastically, singing and shouting at the top of their voices expecting a miracle.

They intend to resurrect Polly Kagendo, 38, who died of TB on Sunday.

Githumba insisted that his wife was not dead but only resting and would resurrect on the fourth day like the biblical Lazarus.

The pastor traveled from Rwika Village, Mbeere South sub-county with his followers.

He asked the mortuary attendants to remove his wife's body and put it in an open place for the prayers.

Drenched in sweat, they continued until 5pm when the attendants sought to return the body as they were to close for the day.

The pastor and his team did not allow the press to enter the mortuary, only speaking to members of the media outside.

He said his wife fell sick and was rushed to Mwea hospital where she passed way. He carried for her clothes to put in case she rose.

She was later transferred to the funeral home for preservation.

Githumba said he believes his wife, 'whom he loved so much', will rise again.

"That is why we are praying for her resurrection. We know God is the most powerful being."

"I know she will be visited after three days the way Jesus visited Lazarus and woke him up from the dead," he said.

"I know this will also happen to my wife," Githumba, a father of four, said.

The woman is set to be buried on Saturday. But with the current development, the plan is likely to change.

23-year-old man who was sentenced to death for stealing a mobile phone

As shared by Facebook user, Don Capello, who is appealing to authorities to consider the plight of the young man due to various reasons he shared.
Capello wrote 'Justice Chizoba Orji of Apo high court FCT Abuja jailed 23 yrs old Tope Abiodun (from Kabba Kogi state)to death by hanging for stealing an android LG phone valued at #87,000 naira ....this happened few weeks ago in a country where those that Looted billions that were meant to make life easy for such Youths from being tempted to survive through stealing are out there roaming the streets in freedom .

This is unfair to the poor and vulnerable masses ,

Tope fluently speaks Yoruba ,Igbo and Hausa languages, he has transformed since he was imprisoned four yrs ago, this is a lad that will assist visitors with their luggage down to cells of those they came to visit in kuje prison.

He is a good boy we can not allow to die .

I am appealing to well meaning Nigerians ,clergies alike to come to his aide, he has an ageing mother, he was not born to see his father alive, one can easily understand his upbringing .

Tope Abiodun committed this crime when he was 18yrs old, he told me, the pressure to feed with his younger siblings pushed him to do it .
Probably he did that as an ignorant young boy out of the normal juvenile delinquency stage in our lives .

Godbless you as you do to help him process his case through the appeal court, I am so sad about this because I have spent much to help this boy even though I have my issues at the end the judge gave him a very harsh sentence (death by hanging )in a case no death was recorded .

Wake up, Good Nigerians!

#HelpTope
May this also teach our young stars a lesson !
#pls share this as a way to assist him
