Rap mogul, Suge Knight has been sentenced to 28 years in prison after pleading no contest to manslaughter.
In January 2015, the former Death Row Records CEO was arrested and charged with murder after he was involved in a hit-and-run at a Los Angeles restaurant parking lot. Knight allegedly got into a confrontation with two men while on the set of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton.
According to prosecutors, Knight proceeded to follow the men to a nearby burger restaurant, where he ran over them with his car. One of the men struck, Terry Carter, died from his injuries. The other, Cle Sloan,, suffered injuries to his head and foot. Knight fled the scene of the incident before authorities arrived.
Knight, who turned 53 in April, had been facing the possibility of life in prison. His no contest plea came days before his trial was scheduled to begin on Monday (September 24). Knight will get credit for the three-and-a-half years he already served while awaiting the trial.
The Death Row Records founder made the plea to avoid charges of murdering one man and attempting to murder a second with his pick-up truck in Los Angeles.
He will be formally sentenced to 28 years in prison in October.
His record label helped launch the careers of artists including Dr Dre, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.
Under Californian state law, a no contest plea is the legal equivalent of a guilty plea.
Knight was previously sentenced to nine years in prison in 1997 after violating his probation stemming from an earlier assault charge. After being granted early release in 2001, he was sent back to prison in 2003 after assaulting a parking attendant

The 36-year-old ex-Super Eagles player, who denies the claim, has been charged after an 18-month investigation in Sweden.

Swedish authorities became aware of the allegations and cancelled the game.

Swedish FA’s secretary general Hakan Sjostrand claimed a “very large amount of money” had been offered as well as a number of “veiled threats”.
Etuhu’s lawyer Johan Akermark denied the allegations to Fotbollskanalen.

He said: “He has not offered any bribe and he does not know anything about any bribe. He had a snack with the AIK goalkeeper, they knew each other and used to meet for lunch.

“He has an explanation of what happened and we will present it during the trial.”
Etuhu ended his career in Sweden after 14 years playing in England and now works as an agent.

Kanye West Slams Drake For Letting People Think He ‘F*cked His Wife’ Kim K

In a series of four Instagram videos, Kanye West, 41, took shots at Drake, 31, on Sept. 20, further dragging out their ongoing feud. In one of the videos, Ye slams Drake for letting fans believe he once hooked up with Kim Kardashian, his wife. “Now if i wasn’t in a medicated state I might have thought ‘Hey Pusha, don’t diss Drake on my beat. And, I spoke about that and took accountability for that. Now what I’m looking for, for my spirit to take accountability is the fact that it’s people making rumors or thinking that you f–k my wife, and you not saying nothing and you carry it like that, that don’t sit well with my spirit,” Kanye says in the Instagram clip.

“You know, if I had a girlfriend from Chicago and her name was “Rineeta” and you was married toRihanna, I wouldn’t make no song called “RiRi”. Like, ‘Ah I don’t know where it come from?’ — You too smart for that bro,” Ye continues. Kim may not be ‘Kiki’ in Drake’s track, In My Feelings,” but Kanye definitely does not like the similarities between their names.

Drake wasn’t the only rapper that Kanye had some scathing words for. Nick Cannon, 37, received the same treatment. “There’s a couple things that I want to address,” Kanye said in the first video he posted. “First of all I want to address Nick Cannon. Like, I understand that you used to date my wife, but you know you give an interview don’t mention my wife. If someone brings my wife up, you say, ‘Ay, I respect that man, I’m not speaking on that.’ Don’t be making no suggestions like nobody f–ked my wife,” Kanye said in his rant. The rapper also took the opportunity to call out Tyson Beckford, over body-shaming comments he previously made about his wife. Ye aired out alllll his dirty laundry in his posts.

Kanye’s very public shot at Drake came just one hour after Drizzy released a brand new song, “No Stylist,” with French Montana. On the track, Drake threw some shade of his own.  “I told her don’t wear no 350s around me,” Drake raps in one verse, a clear reference to Kanye’s Yeezy 350 sneaker line. It looks like this feud isn’t simmering down anytime soon.
