Man Dupes Girlfriend Of Car & Landed Property
A 47-year-old historian, Nicholas Ajayi, who allegedly defrauded his girlfriend of a car and landed property valued at N1.3 million, was on Tuesday brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
Ajayi, a resident of Idimu area of Lagos, is facing trial on charges of fraud and stealing.
After his plea of not guilty to the charges, Magistrate A.O. Gbajumo, admitted him to a bail of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Michael Unah, said that the accused committed the offences sometime in 2014 on Prince Gbadebo Street in Igando area of Lagos.
Unah said that the accused fraudulently obtained N800, 000 and N500, 000 for a plot of land and car respectively from Miss Ijeoma Nwata, his girlfriend.

Man killed hisfriend over 200 naira contribution to repair fuse
Ndubusi Kalu, a security guard, reportedly stabbed Simeon Chidi with a shard of bottle in the neck and back during the fight, which lasted for about 30 minutes on Saturday in their residence on Saula Sanni Street, Agbado, Ogun State.
It was learnt that Chidi and Kalu were so close that they cooked and ate together and were preparing a breakfast on the day when a disagreement broke out between them over a faulty fuse.
The fuse that supplied electricity to five apartments, including the two friends', had tripped off, causing power outage. The suspect reportedly lamented the outage as he wanted to see a movie when the fault occurred.
The five affected residents were said to have agreed to contribute N200 each to pay an electrician, who would fix the fuse. Kalu, 30, who blamed the incident on the devil, said he had asked Chidi to contribute N200 for the repair, but the victim declined.
.
.
Kalu said: “I told him we had to fix the fault on time because I wanted to watch television and relax at home. When we were unable to raise the N1,000, the electrician asked us to pay N500.
.
.
The matter came to a head when Chidi could not produce the N400 contributed by the two tenants. He said the money was with somebody and that the person had gone out. He said he would beat me with a charm if I disturbed him again. .
.
That was how we started exchanging words. He picked a knife and asked me to come outside. As I was struggling to collect the knife from him, he injured me in the hand and leg. I also smashed a bottle and we started fighting again. .
.
People were many, watching us, but nobody came to separate us. It was after I stabbed him in the back that one man called Baba Sheri came to separate us. I didn’t intend to kill him. It was the devil’s handiwork.”

Onlookers were left stunned when the drunk man stripped off the doll and proceeded to have his way with it at a flea market in the city of Bulawayo, western Zimbabwe.
It is understood that the man had been drinking at a nearby hotel when he left to walk through the market.
But it was when he saw the mannequin that things took a turn for the strange, with the man stripping the doll and himself before starting to make love to it.
The man’s bare bottom was left waving in the air as he made loud groaning noises – refusing to be embarrassed despite the shocked crowds gathering around.
Many people stopped to laugh and take pictures of the amorous display.
Mbuso Moyo, one of the traders at the Egodini market, said the man was making loud groaning noises during the act.
She said: “What amused us is that he was making movements as if he was having sex with a woman.
After reaching orgasm he stood up and threatened all the people who had gathered to watch him.
The crowd dispersed when he started shouting but some women made comments about the size of his manhood.
Some were joking, saying he has a pipe and such a person is dangerous in bed for women.”Another onlooker, named Ruth Chidzonga, said the size of his manhood became the talking point for quite a while, adding:
“One of the women around here is a sex worker and was commenting on the size based on her experience in the bedroom. She said if he asks for sex with me I give it.”

Woman who quit social media for a year says experience left her at peace
Washingotn DC Woman, Darla Bunting once had 4,500 followers on Twitter and Instagram, as well as hundreds of friends on Facebook and Snapchat. But on January 1 last year she announced that she would throw them all away.
The 31-year-old's decision to quit all social media in what she termed a 'digital detox' certainly seems to have worked. She told ABC News:
whole hog and drop it for an entire year.
That had wonderful effects, she says, including feeling more connected to the world, because she's no longer 'curating' her life by snapping every event.
The 31-year-old's decision to quit all social media in what she termed a 'digital detox' certainly seems to have worked. She told ABC News:
'I had different epiphanies over the course of this year. I feel so at peace.'Bunting was originally advised to quit social media for a month by her pastor, but decided to go the
whole hog and drop it for an entire year.
That had wonderful effects, she says, including feeling more connected to the world, because she's no longer 'curating' her life by snapping every event.
'When I began to cut out different things, I learned to have an attitude of gratitude,' she said. 'I became really grateful of every moment.'It wasn't easy, though, thanks to the pervasive nature of social media, and the constant urge to check out what's happening. So Bunting had to take her detox cold turkey.
'So I blocked the websites on my computer and deleted the apps off of my phone,' she said. 'So there was not a way for me to check. That made it incredibly easier for me.'She didn't lose any Facebook friends, she said - unlike many who were drawn to either side of last year's Presidential election.
'But what I did gain was learning how to quiet my own thoughts and my own opinions and listen to other people whose opinions are different than mine,' she added. And while it was a wrench missing out on a year of her goddaughter's life in photographs, Bunting - who plans to return to social media - says keeping everything in perspective makes it easier.
'Realize that social media isn’t going anywhere,' she explained, 'so you're not going to miss anything once you take a break from it and come back.'
