Wash your mouth; smelling breath drives good people away but bad people can bear it. Mess-BOVI

From the desk of comedian/actor Bovi
I'm gonna pretend like it's an inspirational post. So in life, whatever you do, a positive attitude is your biggest weapon to succeed. Nobody really likes to be with drawbacks. You can't help everybody in life. You will die if you do. Some people like to dwell in sorrow. If you try and they don't accept it, leave them. Fear manipulative people. They will destroy you eventually. Learn to listen. You don't learn when you do all the talking. Dance! When you're dead you won't be able to. Laugh at yourself; it immunes you from the scorn of others! Don't reply anonymous bullies, if they were as strong as you they wouldn't hide their identities in the first place. Smile; even if it's fake it's better than a frown.
Price that car/house/fine girl/fine boy! You just might be able to afford it tomorrow. Prophesy good things into your life; prophesy is free. Wash your mouth; smelling breath drives good people away but bad people can bear it. Mess; it's natural! Love others; it's the best form of giving! Rest well; or you will Rest In Peace too soon! Say sorry and mean it; it flatters God! He can just vex and give you scholarship for life; be naughty; normalcy is boring. Lastly, if it ain't broke, break it; variety is the spice of your life.

Foremost industrialist and richest man in Africa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has restated his commitment to assist the Federal Government in turning around and diversifying the country’s economy.

He said this in Lagos on Friday where he was honoured as “Man of the Year 2015’’ by The Guardian Newspapers Limited.

He said that he was working hard with his company to take Nigeria to the next level and that within the next two and half years, Nigeria is going to excel in some critical areas.

“We want to do that by looking at critical areas where Nigeria is not doing well in terms of local production and tackle the problem areas.

“Number one is refinery, Dangote Group is building a refinery which will produce 650,000 barrels of petrol per day; the current capacity that we have as a country now, both the ones that are working and the ones not working, is just 450,000 barrels per day.

“Our petrochemical is ten times that of Eleme, we are at 1.3 million, Eleme is 120,000, so it will be the largest petrochemical industry in Africa.

“In fertilizer production, we are not only trying to satisfy the market, but our size is three million tonnes which is ten times more than what is available in Nigeria today.

“We are trying to make sure we satisfy the local needs and also export and we thought about how to address our power issues, the only way we can address power issues is to have enough gas and sort out distribution.

“Distribution is important because unless you collect money from the consumers, you cannot grow.

“There are two sub-sea gas pipelines coming from Bonny which will produce about three billion volume of gas which is exactly about the same size of LNG.

“We are committed to turning around the economy of Nigeria and in the next two and a half years, Nigeria will be the highest oil petroleum products export country, will be the highest in terms of fertilizer export, will be the highest in petrochemicals export.

“Nigeria will also be the highest in terms of cement export in Africa,’’ he said.

Speaking on bailouts for the states, Dangote said: “I don’t believe the Federal Government should continue to be bailing out the states, the states have to sit down and plan to cut costs instead of looking for bailout and being lazy.

“They can create jobs and give incentives to people to come and invest, they should assure people that they are not going to be slammed with various taxes which is what some of them do.’’

Dangote added that the current situation of the economy would push people to work harder, to work in terms of diversifying the economy.

Ericsson To Sack Nigerians As Firm Ships Jobs To India

Ericsson Nigeria, telecommunications services provider has served its Nigerian workers sack notice which will take effect by the end of this November.

It was gathered that the affected workers are working in the Network Operating Centre (NOC) of the company and are required to do a knowledge transfer to the Indians that will take over their jobs.

Nigeria Communications Week investigations revealed that Ericsson carried out similar exercise of sacking Nigerian workers in July this year when some part of MTN managed services handled by Ericsson was moved to India.

Now the Indians want to handle more of the services precipitating the recent sack notice to workers.

It was learnt that Ericsson Nigeria has sacked more workers in Nigeria than other African countries not because the jobs are not there but because it is easier to get away with such practice in Nigeria and the jobs are now remotely done from India which means money generated in Nigeria are used to enrich India.

Reacting to the development in a reply to a mail, Johan Jemdahl, MD of Ericsson Nigeria, said “To maintain a leading position, Ericsson is continuously evolving and transforming the way we deliver services, both locally and globally, for the benefit of our customers. Therefore, we constantly review and adjust cost levels as market growth and business needs are changing over time from a global perspective.

“Transformation is about uncovering opportunities to further leverage global skills and scale to increase efficiencies and reduce cost across the business. This is not something that is happening only here, it is something we are doing on a global, regional and local level in our services business. It is part of being a services company. If and when we have information about any measures to take, we will as always inform affected employees first.

Each time he carries the children (twin) on his lap, his manhood will rise up – Woman tells how she caught husband abusing daughter

A housewife in Abuja, Francisca Okechukwu, on Monday filed for divorce, accusing her husband, Tony Okechukwu, of sexually abusing their six-year old daughter.

In her divorce application filed at Jikwoyi Customary Court, Abuja, Francisca, a business woman, alleged that she had, on many occasions, caught her husband fiddling with her daughter’s private part.

“I caught my husband touching my daughter’s private part, his biological daughter”, she alleged.

The petitioner told the court that she had been suspecting her husband of the act “ because of the way he carries the twin daughters.

“Each time he carries the children (twin) on his lap, his manhood will rise up, and if he is not satisfied with that, he will go and pull off his cloth and tie his towel,” she told the court.

The petitioner also alleged that her husband might have had carnal knowledge of her daughter.

“There was a day the twin had a nap in their father’s room in the evening but when they were having their bath the next morning, one of them was complaining of a pain in her private part.

“When I checked her, I saw a cut which pained her for over three days,” she added.

She therefore begged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant her custody of the children.

The husband, Okechukwu , also a business man, however denied all the allegations.

The Presiding officer, Mr Labaran Gusau, adjourned the case to Nov. 16th for hearing.

At Least 10 Shiites Dead In Kano As Police Confront Them

At least 10 people were killed and several injured Monday when police opened fire during clashes with pro-Iranian Shiites in Kano, witnesses and police said.

Violence broke out when police tried to disperse thousands of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) who were marching from Kano to Kaduna for the Ashura religious festival.

"The police arrived and started firing teargas canisters on the procession of Shiites to disperse them," grocer Ilyasu Ammani told AFP.

"I saw 15 bodies sprawled on the ground before the police evacuated them," said Ammani of the violence in Kwanar Dawaki, an area on the outskirts of Kano.

Witness Kabiru Mudassir said he saw more than "10 bodies being taken away in a police van."

Mudassir, who was on his way to work when he was caught in the fighting, said "more policemen are being deployed and a military jet keeps circling the area."

Nigerian police said they opened fire on the crowd after one of their officers was hurt.

"They injured one of our officers and our men opened fire because they were becoming violent," said a police officer who asked to remain anonymous.

Zenith Bank fires John Edobor who battered his estranged wife and damaged her leg

According to one of the wife Ivie Edobor's lawyers, Emeka Ugwuonye, Zenith Bank has fired Mr John Edobor, who is standing trial for the attempted murder of his estranged wife. The accused and some hired thugs stormed Ivie's home and attacked the mother of his three children, leaving her with broken legs.

Read what the wife's lawyer wrote and a brief part of the estranged wife's story:
"This is to inform the members of DPA that I just received a call from a top official of Zenith Bank to inform me that Mr. John Edobor has been fired from Zenith Bank. They made it clear to me that the reason they did so was because of the domestic violence he committed on his estranged wife, Ivie. The call was in response to the email I sent to Zenith two days ago indicating that DPA would commence a protest on the matter. We appreciate the fact that Zenith has reached out to us. This is an important first step that Zenith has taken. We shall continue the dialogue and negotiation today to see if we can reach an agreement that will avoid the protest that is planned tomorrow.

Thank you to all DPA members who have given their support to this effort. God bless you all. And please stay tuned. All we want is justice of this lady. She is somebody's daughter. She is somebody's mother. And above all, she is our sister and a Member of DPA. Once you are a registered member of DPA, we shall do everything to protect you when you face challenges. We must protect Ivie Edobor and her children. It is an obligation on us."

Two years ago Mr Edobor kicked Ivie out of his house along with her 3 daughters ages 9, 7 and 4 on the grounds that her business failed and ran into debt.

The wife had said: "He moved in with his lover at the time, who is a divorcee with a female child and my husband said she would give him a boy since i gave him 3 children who are just girls. He snapped a picture with both of them on our matrimonial bed and used it as his whatsapp dp and also posted it on facebook barely a few months after he kicked us out. I was forced to move back to my father's house and struggled to provide for my 3 children as he completely neglected them and even took them of his medical insurance provided by his office Zenith Bank Plc."

TB Joshua finally speaks, justifies his U.S election prophecy

Prophet TB Joshua have finally reacted to criticisms meted out at him after Donald Trump won the U.S election he earlier prophesied will be won by a woman (Hillary Clinton).
In a post he just made on Facebook, he said you need spiritual understanding to interpret his prophesy concerning the U.S election. Read what he wrote after the cut...

"MY VIEW REGARDING THE ELECTION (US)
We have seen the outcome of the election in America. Having read, you will notice that it is all about the popular vote, the vote of the majority of Americans.
In this case, we need the Spirit of a Prophet to recognize or to know a Prophet. Our levels are different. We are not on the same level.
We might have great cathedrals, huge bells, and all kinds of activities that are good by human standards but human point of view is limited.
1 Corinthians 1:25. The foolishness of God is wiser than that of men and the weakness of God is stronger than that of men. There is no shortcut to spiritual maturity unless earthly understanding gives way to spiritual enlightenment.
I see many people trying to interpret prophets on the basis of their own minds and ideas. The prophecy seems to cause uproar, to many who gave it different meaning and interpretation.
Finally, campaigns and elections in any democratic country in the world are never about one person, it is about the country we care and love. Whichever way it happens, we must accept the outcome and then look to the future (God), the Author and Finisher.
Democracy is all about accommodation. All democrats must value the process of democracy more than the product.
God bless the United States of America."

Soldier Fakes Own Kidnap... Arrested In His Girlfriend's House

An army officer, Musa Lawal, who was reportedly kidnapped in Calabar last Thursday, allegedly faked his own abduction.

Lawal was abducted around 10am after leaving a bank along Calabar Road in the Cross River State capital by his cronies, according to a security source.

He had allegedly arranged for his abduction to pave the way for an undisclosed illegal movement to Port Harcourt in Rivers State.
In the course of investigation, it was learnt that Lawal had after his encounter with an unknown group in Port Harcourt, travelled back to Eket in Akwa Ibom State where he was eventually found in his girlfriend’s apartment by security operatives.

The source said, “He faked his own kidnap because he wanted to have some time out with a group in Port Harcourt. He had an encounter with them from investigations made. It was an illegal operation that he went for and after the operation he relocated to the girlfriend’s house in Eket.

“He was picked up in his girlfriend’s house in Eket and he is presently being detained in one of the barracks in Calabar. He has confessed that he was not actually kidnapped.”

An Army Barrack resident in Calabar, Kehinde Matthew, confirmed that Lawal was on Saturday taken to his residence by security operatives for a search.

“He was on a leg chain when he was escorted to his apartment in the barracks on Saturday. He was brought in by some security operatives that included military police. He wore a blue jean and black T’ shirt,” he said.

But the Army Public Relations Officer in charge of 13 Brigade, Calabar, Capt. Kayode Owolabi, insisted that there was no case of kidnap.

“Nothing like that ever took place. It is all rumour because it is not possible to abduct someone in Calabar without attracting public attention in the broad day light, let alone a soldier who is fully dressed. You must get a pass before you are allowed to travel. Whatever they are saying is not true. The man is with us,” he said.
