Jamaican singer convicted of murder, may face life in prison

Popular Jamaican singer and actor, Ninja Man, 51,

 has been convicted of murder.

The Home Circuit Court in Kingston on Monday, convicted the actor and two others for the murder 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson, also known as Ricky Trooper.A seven-member jury made up of four men and three women delivered the verdict after a three hours and 11 minutes deliberation.
“A suh it go man,” Ninja Man said as he and his co-accused were led away he was also quoted as saying;
“Don’t worry yuhself, Jamaica, I’ll be back,” as he made to enter the vehicle to take him to prison.
Ninja Man, whose real name is Desmond Ballentyne and his son Janiel Ballentyne and Dennis Clayton, were convicted of murder and were on trial for five weeks.
Ninja Man, his son and Dennis Clayton will be sentenced on December 15. They face the possibility of life in prison.

Olamide Moves OLIC from Eko Hotel To Teslim Balogun STadium

Three years after holding Olamide Live in Lagos, popularly known as OLIC, in Eko Hotel and Suties, Olamide has decided to change venue for the fourth edition.

While reasons he shunned Eko Hotel this year is not certain yet, Goldmyne TV learnt that he wanted something new and wanted to relate more with the street, which he has always represented.
Organised by YBNL, Red & Axla, Pentagon and powered by the Lagos State Government, this year’s edition is slated to hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on the December 17 at 12noon.


It will be the first time in the history of Lagos for a rapper to use the stadium, which has the capacity to accommodate over 25,000.

 With the release of his new album, Lagos Na Wa, fans will be expecting so much from Olamide on December 7.

The MC of the ceremony was Comedian Basketmouth and musician Falz, Tiwa Savage and 2Baba performed at the reception ceremony accompanied by the groom, Banky W.
