Hollywood actor Peter Vaughan of Game of Thrones is dead

British actor Peter Vaughan, best known for roles in Game of Thrones and Porridge, has died at the age of 93. It's not easy to live that long. May his soul find eternal rest.
A statement from his agent Sally Long-Innes reads: "This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10.30 this morning. He died peacefully with his family around him."

Vaughan began acting in the 1950s and became a recognisable face by playing numerous mainly supporting roles on stage, television, radio and film. He specialised in characters with a tough edge - such as police officers, secret agents and authoritarian elders.

He described himself as a character actor, saying he did not have the looks to play romantic leads.

He had said, "If you're a character actor, you don't need to wait for the next leading role. But if you are a leading man you have to wait for the next. Sometimes that means long periods without work."

”If you cooperate, we will not kill, but if you fail to cooperate, blood will flow,”-Armed Robbers Write Letters To Yaba Residents

Image result wey dey for hOME aLONE

Suspected armed robbers have written some Lagos residents urging them to prepare to pay season’s dues to them on a date not mentioned.

Residents of Joseph Harrison Estate, Yaba, got the letter from the bandits on Wednesday notifying them of their impending attack to collect their “dues” for the festive season.

The letter was placed on the vehicle of one of the residents and was discovered in the morning when he was about to wash his car.

”We are coming this week to collect our dues and to visit you tenants and landlords of Joseph Harrison Street in the week. If you like go and bring police or soldiers, we are coming to perform our duties.

”If you cooperate, we will not kill, but if you fail to cooperate, blood will flow,” the letter said.
NAN check at the estate on Tuesday revealed that sterner security measures have been put in place to protect lives and properties in the community.

Bolanle Akinyemi, Chairman, Community Development Association, said the estate had enjoyed some peace for a long while as it was protected by guards and the police from Sabo Police Post.

”We are also mindful of the slum that surrounds us and we have been conscious of suspected criminals,” he said.

”No one has received such letter before, but there was a case in 2013 when a company in the estate was robbed,” he said.

The chairman said they have reported the threat to Sabo Police Division and more guards have been engaged at the estate.

Concerned residents urged the commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni to deploy more officers to patrol the estate regularly.

12 kids rescued from pastor’s home(Photo)

Twelve children were rescued by the Lagos State Government from the custody of a Pastor, Onoyngu Chibuike, the founder of Voice of Salvation Charitable Organisation, who had been operating an illegal orphanage in Ojo since 2010.

The hands of the law caught up with Chibuike last week when one of the children took ill and was taken to hospital for medical attention. Enquiries from the hospital about the medical history of the indisposed child revealed that Chibuike’s orphanage is not registered under the Lagos State Government.

During interrogation by the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mrs Uzamat Akinbile Yussuf, at Alausa Secretariat Ikeja on Monday, the pastor claimed that he received a call from God to start the orphanage over six years ago to rescue helpless children from societal vices and misdemeanour and thus registered the orphanage with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2010.

He said:
“I am from Anambra State. I am called by God to render this service to humanity by helping the less privileged, such as widows, motherless children and homeless people. I provide adequate care for these children till their parents can take over their care. For those that were abandoned, I train them even up to university level.”
According to him, the children were acquired through different means.
“Some of these children here were brought to me by the police, some were brought by their biological mothers, who in some instances claimed they had the children out of wedlock and they cannot attend to the needs of the children or shoulder their responsibilities.
“Based on this, the person will put down his or her name and we will accept the child in order to assist the child. Our affection is on children because we know that if we reject any child, chances are that the children are exposed to the wrong sides of life and might die in the process. Based on this, we will accept the child and take care of the child,” he stated.
The Commissioner told the pastor that disciplinary actions would be taken against him after further investigations that would be carried out by the police. Ignorance is not an excuse under the law, she said.
She said: “When you operate an illegal orphanage in Lagos, it is a criminal offence. Your registration with CAC does not give you any licence to operate an orphanage in Lagos. Here we operate with the law that guides us. Orphanage is not a charitable organization you feel God has guided you to go and assist people.
“We are talking about children here and there is a law in place protecting the rights of these minors. The Lagos State Child’s Right Law of 2007 guides all the children that live in Lagos State. Whatever you need to do, you need to be well guided by the law. You don’t just operate at will, being led by the Holy Spirit to assist the less privileged is a good idea but you have to operate within the ambit of the law that guides your engagement”
Twelve of the 15 children in his custody have immediately been taken over by the State Government until suitable homes are secured for them. Two were still with the Voice of Salvation orphanage as at the time of the interrogation but would also be taken into proper care of the state government while the last one child who is still in the hospital would be monitored by officials of the ministry.

Chibuike was handed over to law enforcement agents for further investigation and disciplinary actions and was also ordered to provide the case file documentation on all the children in his orphanage.
He pleaded for mercy, adding that the work he is doing is a directive from God. He has been ordered to provide case files on all the children in his orphanage.

2-Year-Old Girl Raped & Sodomised in Enugu Dies

Image result wey dey for Home alone

This is by the saddest thing any woman can read. The two-year-old girl, Chimamanda Olijo, who was allegedly raped and sodomised by an unknown person, is dead.

It was gathered that the police ordered that the body of the girl be deposited at the Enugu-Ezike General Hospital for autopsy, while investigations into the circumstances leading to her death continued.

Olijo had been lying ill at an Aji private hospital, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, following the injuries she sustained. The hospital and police sources confirmed that the little girl died last night after battling for life for about seven days.

Vanguard reported, yesterday, that the girl, who was living with her grandmother at Okpo area of Aji at the time of the incident, was said to have been left with a neighbour, while her grandmother, identified as Madam Lauretta Idoko, went to a nearby market to buy some food items. On her return from the market, Lauretta discovered that the little girl was unconscious and took her to a nearby hospital, where some nurses suspected malaria and recommended “MP and widal” tests. It was alleged that as the health of the girl was deteriorating, Lauretta took her grandchild to Divinity Hospital in the area. It was at the hospital that it was discovered that “the girl’s reproductive organs were not normal as her vagina had become very loose, while the anus was equally loose and bleeding.”

Its tragic how one loses an important person, still going through pains of the lost soul the worst happens........Today being the 6th of December 2016 a final year student of OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DENTAL THERAPY was on her way back from the bank to withdraw her project money and the little feeding allowance attached to it, got crushed by the NIGERIAN CONSOLIDATED BREWERIES TRUCK loaded with lots of alcoholic drinks i.e 33,Goldberg......
Funny enough before the arrival of the students down to the accident scene, the Nigerian Consolidated Breweries officials had called the attention of soldiers of ILESE Barracks who shot speedily at students,as a matter of fact students got injured especially females students,as if that wasn't enough the soldiers of ilese barracks invaded the school premises and still shot at the students....CORRUPTION which was the leading theme in Nigeria as a whole was evident in the DEAN OF STUDENT
AFFAIRS OF OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH....How much longer do we have to live like this?? As i write now 9 students of OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH ILESE IJEBU are currently in the hospital and then in tears and trauma i ask this question....
WHERE IS NIGERIA GOING??WHY CANT STUDENTS HAVE A SAY??MUST CORRUPTION ALWAYS SPEAK ??...........Talking about the NIGERIAN SOLDIERS whose primary objective is to ''protect the citizens'' left their duty post after being lured and bribed by the NIGERIAN CONSOLIDATED BREWERIES OFFICIALS to beat unarmed innocent students...95% of the students of OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY who are girls were serious dealt with and striped naked....Tears dropped from my eyes when an 100 level student had an asthma attack due to the shock......
I Thought we had a government??why???? OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH has been the most peaceful campus for 40 years now and won several awards where holistic health is practiced Will NOT BE MUTE IN THE FACE OF INJUSTICE,IN THE FACE OF TYRANNY ..As we all know JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED ...Here are our demands.....
Firstly the truck driver should be produced and persecuted..Secondly the truck should be produced, thirdly an ATM machine should be provided in the school premises because if students did not have to go down to withdraw this wouldn't have happened...for the soldiers who beat up students should also be provided....A 48HRS ultimatum has been set -....#OPERATION OCCUPY NIGERIAN BREWERIES LOADING!!!!!!!!! #CONCERNED STUDENTS FOR THE UNION......#AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL!!!!!!

Bolivians celebrate after bagging six years for drug offences (Photos)

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday sentenced three Bolivians to six years’ imprisonment for dealing in illicit drugs.
The convicts are Reuben Jorge, Yhugo Moreno and Yerko Dorado.

They were sentenced by Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, who affirmed their guilty plea to the two counts pressed against them by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

The convicts had been in detention since February 3, 2013, when they were arrested by operatives of the NDLEA on Daily Times Estate, Satellite Town, Lagos State, the base where they illegally produced Ephedrine and Methamphetamine.

The convicts were said to have been housed by their Nigerian accomplices between November 2011, and February 2012, before they were caught.

The NDLEA had told the judge that the foreigners violated Section 22 (a) of the NDLEA Act and were liable to be jailed for life or imprisoned for not less than 25 years.

But in her judgment on Tuesday, Justice Oguntoyinbo said what the law prescribed was a maximum of 25 years, but that a judge could, based on his discretion, impose a lesser jail term.

She therefore sentenced the convicts to six years on each count. She said the sentence would run concurrently and would start from February 3, 2013, when they were arrested.

Justice Oguntoyinbo said, “It is, therefore, in the light of Section 22 (a) and Section 12 of the NDLEA Act, that these three defendants, having been found guilty and convicted of the offences alleged in counts one and two of the charge (sheet) dated the 18th day of February, 2013, are now sentenced on count one to a period of six prison years and on count two to a prison period of six years.

“Both sentences shall run concurrently and shall be calculated from the date the defendants were first arrested, which is the 3rd day of February, 2013.
The defendants have benefited from the commitment of their counsel. Both defendants and the NDLEA have a right of appeal.”

Following the judgment, the three convicted foreigners jubilated outside the courtroom where they hugged one another and posed for a snapshot by Punch correspondent.

The convicted foreigners were first arraigned on March 23, 2013, before Justice Ibrahim Buba of the same court, where they earlier pleaded not guilty to the initial six counts pressed against them by the NDLEA.

Following their not guilty plea, Justice Buba admitted them to bail in the sum of N50m each with two sureties in like sum.

The judge said one of the sureties must be an owner of a landed property in Lagos valued at not less than N10m, while the other must be a Bolivian with resident permit in Nigeria.

The foreigners were equally ordered to report weekly and sign an attendance register at the office of the NDLEA, to show that they were still in Nigeria.

They were mandated to sign and file an undertaking that they would not delay trial.

In spite of the bail, the foreigners remained in detention as they found it difficult to perfect the bail

LINDA IKEJI DOES NOT PAY TITHE, SHE WORKS HARD AND CARES FOR THE LESS PRIVILEGED!

I just got off the phone with Linda after congratulating her on yet another achievement inside this recession, a 70 million Naira Range Rover autobiography SUV. How did she do it? Did she invest in MMM? Of course not, did God bless her because she paid tithe to a Yahoo boy pastor? Hell no!!! So how did she do it??? SHE WORKED HARD!!! The key to success is hard work! Linda works 16 hours a day on the average and she empowers everyone around her, family, friends, widows, orphans and unemployed women that's what God wants!

@officiallindaikeji I am so proud of you! You are hardworking, beautiful, sexy, intelligent, innovative, unstoppable, influential in fact Ifeoma, you are too much!
Where angels fear to tread you go there and buy land. You are an avant-garde archetype and a paradigm shifter all in one and I'm so proud of you! Learn from Linda all u need is Hardwork, perseverance dedication and determination, money will surely come!

God said all the tithe belong to the Levites in Numbers 18: 21. Do you know that Levites are not even Christians?? They are JEWS and they practice Judaism!!! Never in the bible was the role of the Levites or the tithe transferred from the Levite to any apostle, bishop, deacon, disciple, prayer warrior, pastor, priest, prophet, choir master, minister or any Nigerian pastor.

None of the 12 disciples of JESUS collected tithe, so why are Nigerian pastors collecting it on their behalf?

STOP PAYING TITHE, ITS A SCAM! HELP THE LESS PRIVILEGED INSTEAD ~FRZ

Dangote's top negotiator killed for bringing incomplete ransom – Kidnapper opens up

The three men alleged to have kidnapped and killed the human resources manager of the Dangote Industries Limited, Istifanus Bello, have said he was murdered for bringing incomplete ransom.

The suspects – Abdullahi Saliu, Babuga Adamu and Abubakar Gide – said Bello got them angry for bringing N5.6m instead of the N10m agreed for the release of four expatriates earlier kidnapped by their gang.

They said Bello was killed after he had been held for three days because he allegedly refused to call his employer to pay the balance of N4.4m.

Bello had gone to Ijebu-Igbo area of Ogun State with N5.6m as ransom payment for the 4 expatriates.

While the foreigners were released, he was held back and later killed. His corpse was reportedly recovered from a river by the police.

Investigations by the Abba Kyari-led Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team led to the arrest of Saliu, Adamu and Gide in Lagos, Kwara and Ogun states.

The men, who were Fulani herdsmen, were on Tuesday transferred from the Force headquarters in Abuja to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, Lagos, pending the conclusion of investigation.

In an exclusive chat with Punch, the suspects said 10 of them carried out the operation.

Twenty-year-old Saliu, an indigene of Kano State, said they were led by one Alti, who fired the shot that killed Bello.

He said, “We were 10 that carried out the operation and we were all fully armed. We had attacked and abducted the four expatriates while they worked in a quarry located in a forest in Ijebu-Igbo; they were guarded by two policemen who had an AK-47 rifle and a pump-action rifle. We surrounded the quarry, overpowered the policemen and took one of their rifles. We didn’t touch them.

“We then moved the expatriates into the forest where we fed them with bread and soft drinks. We made contact with their families and the company and demanded N30m ransom. We later reduced the money to N20m and then N10m.

“Some days later, the man (Bello) brought N5.6m. Our leader, Alti, was angry and after releasing the four expatriates, he seized the man. He said he must call his family members or the firm to pay up the remaining N4.4m or else he would be killed in three days. But the man said he does not have any number to give us and he does not have any money. After the three days elapsed and nobody came for him, he was shot dead.”

Saliu said he was paid N150,000 from the ransom after which he left the group.

They dumped the victim’s corpse in a river and tied it to a log to prevent the corpse from floating.

Another suspect, Adamu, 25, said he had persuaded Alti against killing the victim, adding that the leader rebuked him.

“I was given N190,000 for my role. I still have the bulk of the money. When the man brought the ransom, I was the one that led the group to take the money. I was able to do this because I have lived in Ijebu-Igbo for over 10 years; I was brought up here. When Alti insisted on killing the man, I told him to take the man far from where our cows graze; I said it was none of my business if he killed him,” he added.

The third suspect, 24-year-old Gide, from the Gumi area of Sokoto State, said Adamu made him to join the group.

He said his role was to buy food for the expatriates.

A source told Punch that the police and some vigilance group members had first apprehended Saliu and transferred him to the Ogun State Special Anti-Robbery Squad, adding that when they didn’t have a breakthrough, the IGP team was invited.

He said, “After we intervened, Saliu confessed to us and took us to where the man’s corpse was. It was already decomposing when we found it. Fish had even picked out his eyes. We contacted some council officials, who removed the corpse and deposited it in a mortuary from where some employees of the Dangote company picked it.

“From the information we gathered, we arrested Adamu’s brother, who gave us his address in a forest in Epe, Lagos. We got him arrested around 2am while he was fast asleep with other herdsmen in an open space.

“We later moved to Kwara State to arrest the last suspect, Gide. A policeman had pretended that he had a special assignment and he needed a woman and a hotel to stay in, and since Gide was very familiar with the area, he believed he could help out. After dribbling us for three days, he finally showed up and we arrested him.

“We are still searching for the remaining seven suspects, including the one with the police gun which they took at the quarry; and we will get them.”

The Force Public Relations Officer, Donald Awunnah, said investigations were ongoing.

Landlord Testify Ibadan Lawyer Actually Stabbed Husband

The owner of the house where a lawyer, Yewande Oyediran, was alleged to have killed her husband, Adelowo Oyediran, on Tuesday told the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan that the suspect stabbed her husband during an argument.

Three witnesses were presented by the prosecution at the resumed hearing, including Chief Akinpelu Adelodun, who was the couple’s landlord in Ibadan.

Adelodun told Justice Muktar Abimbola that he was at the apartment of the couple when the argument became ugly and that he made an attempt to calm them down. He said Yewande insisted that she would injure her husband.

The landlord told the court that the misunderstanding continued till around 3am and that at a point, Yewande became calm.

He said he was, however, surprised to hear a noise around 6am same day.

Earlier, Adelodun said a cheque issued in his name as transport fare to appear in court should be returned.

Adelodun was alleged to have requested his transport fare before he would appear in court, but he denied the allegation, saying that he did not instruct anyone to make the demand on his behalf.

The landlord is among those listed to testify against her.
