New Zealand adds prostitution to list of employment skills for immigrants

it is good news to some set of people who are planning to migrate outside of their country. New Zealand now allows potential immigrants to register prostitution as a skill.
The skill is regarded as providing social companionship in the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) list.
In order to meet the criteria of a highly qualified sex worker, would-be migrants will be expected to have ANZSCO skill level 5. The requirements issued by ANZSCO also include compulsory secondary education.
However, applicants of ANZSCO level 5 cannot be classified as skilled unless their pay is more than NZ$36.44 (US$25.87) per hour, which is NZ$75,795 (US$53,818) per year based on a 40-hour week.
The applicants should also have relevant recognized qualifications or have at least three years of work experience in the relevant industry.
Despite the fact that escort and sex work are on the skilled employment list, there is no evident lack of them, as they are not included on the skill-shortage list.
Prostitution is listed as skilled employment, but applying for a resident visa as a sex worker would still be extremely difficult, the New Zealand Association of Migration and Investment agency (NZAMI) said.
“Even though prostitution is a lawful occupation, it is not an occupation that an immigrant can undertake on a temporary visa, s*x work is specifically accepted,” said Peter Moses, an NZAMI spokesman and lawyer specializing in immigration law.
“An applicant would have to be onshore lawfully and not working, or off-shore while applying for residence. And they would need a formal offer of employment – also not the rule,” said Moses.
The legislation to decriminalize s*x work, known as the Prostitution Reform Act, was passed through New Zealand’s parliament in 2003 in a tumultuous vote. The decision to legalize prostitution, which had previously been widespread but hidden, was welcomed by many in the country.
The move to turn prostitution into a legal occupation was intended to safeguard sex workers’ human rights, and to protect them from exploitation. Today, New Zealand is known for offering the best working conditions for prostitutes.
Although an evaluation of the act’s operation in 2008 demonstrated that the number of s*x workers didn’t grow as a result of the legislation, the social stigma surrounding involvement in the sex industry persists.

Brooklyn Beckham Goes Topless To Show Off His Growing Tattoo Collection

The 19-year-old son of David and Victoria has been showing off his growing tattoo collection as he poses topless for some artsy black and white shots. In one snap, Brooklyn stands topless, wearing nothing but a black beanie hat and a duo of chains around his neck, proudly displaying his ever-growing collection of inkings.

He's clearly a fan of his body art, from the sexy pin-up girl on his forearm, to the tribute to his Spice Girl mum.

In a second snap, he's popped a white T-shirt on, but rolls the sleeves up to show off the tattoo he got for Victoria. The heart design on his left arm reads 'Mum'.

Lagos police officer allegedly abducts, rapes, impregnates 16-year-old girl

A police officer, identified as Officer Henry attached to Ojo Division, Lagos State Police Command allegedly abducted, raped, tortured and impregnated a 16-year-old girl (name withheld) in Lagos.
The young girl’s family has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, over the allegation.According to the victim’s family, she was forced to relocate to her village in Anambra State over police harassment after she gave birth to a baby five months ago.
Narrating how it happened, the victim’s elder sister, Chukwudumaga Obadike, said:
“On May 8, 2017, I discovered that my 16-year-old younger sister was missing. Later that evening, we reported it at Ajangbadi police station in Lagos. “
However, two months after, to our surprise, on July 10, I was arrested by policemen from Ojo Division, that my sister, whom I had declared missing, was wanted at the station for allegedly stealing N1.5 million from one of their officers identified as Officer Henry.
I told them that we were looking for her and had declared her missing. The policemen went to Ajangbadi police station with me to ascertain if truly I reported her missing. They wanted to lock me up but I resisted. They later released me by 11 pm and told us to report at the station the following day.”
Chukwudumaga said they were able to get the sister in their village and brought her to Lagos. She said:
“My sister said Officer Henry met her on her way home the day she went missing and took her to a hotel where he raped her.
She said Officer Henry abducted her, kept her in his house and his wife was using her as a maid and Officer Henry would rape her anytime his wife was not at home.”
Vanguard newspaper reports that when they contacted the Officer in Charge of SARS Ikeja, CSP Mohammed Sanusi, he denied the allegation, saying:
“I do not allow underaged persons to be detained in SARS cell under my watch. Maybe, they were doing that before I came but since I came here, no underaged person has been detained.”

Man Fined £45,000 For Sharing Live Streams Of Sky Sports

A man has been slapped with a £45,000 fine for sharing live streams of Sky Sports. Waqas Rasheed was found guilty of breaching the company's copyright after sharing broadcasts from the then Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 channels in March and April last year.

He shared the streams on website IPTVdonations.com for other people to illegally watch.

Rasheed claimed he had accidentally created the streams while trying to watch Sky Sports for free online, but the judge shot down his excuse.

Mr Rasheed also skipped his hearing in March without explanation, with a judge ruling in his absence that he had no defence.

The ruling has come before World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, set up to 'raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life'.

Kieron Sharp, Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) chief, acknowledged that the public still has a lot to learn with regard online piracy.

“This result is an excellent example of just how serious an issue illegal streaming is," he said.

"This case in particular highlights that ignorance is not a defence and digital piracy is not a grey area.

Rasheed's case comes after another Brit, Yusuf Mohammed, was ordered to pay £16,000 in costs in October for streaming Sky Sports on his blog.

Kim Kardashian Scolds Kanye West On Twitter

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's marriage is under strain amid fears the rapper is on the brink of another breakdown.

Tensions between the couple spilled over onto social media Wednesday after he shared pictures of the couple's family home on Twitter and praised Donald Trump.

The 40-year-old Gold Digger hit maker posted photographs of the luxurious space following a lenghty Twitter tirade, in which he boasted about his brand Yeezy and hinted he wanted to run for president.

Kim, 37, called him out for breaking his own rule about their home, tweeting: 'Ummm babe. We had a rule to not show our home on social media! Soooo can we now allow KUWTK filming in the home?'

Kim later insisted on social media that she was 'joking'.

Kanye was shedding light on all of the memes comparing his life with the Kardashian family to the 2017 Jordan Peele film Get Out.

A big theme in the Oscar-winning film is the 'sunken place' in which a person is in a perpetual place of slumber regarding injustice and oppression when it comes to race.

In response, Kanye shared snaps of what looks like his palatial $20million Hidden Hills home with Kim as he wrote: 'do this look like the sunken place [laugh while crying emoji].'

The Oscar-winning screenwriter Peele retweeted one of the posts and joked: '*Gets inspired *Starts writing ‘Get Out 2'
