Father, Children, Sisters-In-Law Die In Accident
In a terrible incident in Anambra state, which occurred on Awor Road,
Oraifite village, in the Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state, a
man identified as Chinedu Nwannem, his two children and two
sisters-in-law were killed by a speeding convoy.
Also, no fewer than eight persons were reportedly killed in auto crashes in Anambra, Lagos and Ogun states, while about 12 persons sustained varying degrees of injury.
While two persons lost their lives and seven others were injured in a head-on collision at the Odogbolu Junction, along the Ijebu Ode-Benin Expressway, Ogun State on Sunday, a bus conductor died in the Lagos multiple crashes which happened on Isolo-Oshodi Road on the same day.
A Facebook user, Francisca Odina, who shared the news of the family’s death on her wall, said the convoy fled the scene after the incident, which happened around 9pm on Thursday.
She wrote, “They were knocked down by a convoy on high speed. The owner of the convoy is yet to be identified. Five people died on the spot–the man (Nwannem), his two sisters-in-law and two children.
“Why would people drive at such a speed in a village? Why didn’t those people stop to help them when they knocked them down? May their souls rest in peace.”
A relative of the deceased, Chinonso Julius, also lamented the incident on Facebook, describing Nwannem as a peacemaker, a devout Christian, and a kind-hearted person.
“Chinedu Nwannem, rest in peace…. God knows the truth; we love you… Our hero, a peacemaker in my family; a man that can give all he has for the growth of his brothers and sisters; a man who trained and fed the family when we were nobody in the eye of people; a man, who made our family not to know the cost of rice, beans, wheat and groundnut oil since I was small still now.

Man Caught With Human Parts In Ilorin
Tribune Online gathered that the suspect had been monitored by residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building.
It was also gathered that the neighbours of the suspect swooped on his residence at about noon on Sunday and the suspect was allegedly caught with human parts.
He was later dragged to Adewole Police station in the Ilorin metropolis amidst shouting and rain of curses by the crowd of people.
It was also gathered that house of the suspect was demolished and his properties were carted away by hoodlums who took advantage of the situation to perpetuate their dastardly acts.
Speaking on the development, the police public relations officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident, said that the command had commenced investigation on the alleged crime.
Also speaking on the development, the commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Mr Olusola Amore, who did not give the name of the suspect, said that, “it is true that a man was caught with human parts today.
He was being beaten at Kudimo area of Adewole on Sunday. There was a crowd trying to lynch the man. In fact, they had set ablaze his car because they discovered that some odour was coming out of his apartment.
On a closer look, they discovered that he had human parts, skulls and other parts, while they were trying to lynch him, police was informed and moved to the place and caught the man arrested.
We arrested him so that we can know other people connected with that business they are doing. The case is now at Adewole but the State CID will take over the case.
We are going to get to know who and who are involved with him. presently, the case is under investigation.”
Drunken FRSC Officers Caught Sleeping On Duty
The FB user who posted the photos said the incident happened Thursday at Tarzan Junction, Npkor in Anambra State. He alleged that the men drank 15 bottles of beer before sleeping off.

Yusufu Termen, said the scene appeared like a blackmail. He said, “The pictures are not showing that they were the ones that drank the bottles. The bottles are not in front of them or in their hands or mouths. The bottles look like bottles that have been laying there for some hours. They can’t all finish their drinks at the same time and start sleeping at the same time. So, to me, the pictures are only showing a tired people who found a shed to rest after a hard work and are taking a nap to revitalise their systems.”
Another poster, Emmanuel Jackson, said even if the men did not take the drinks, they were wrong for sleeping on duty. He said, “I am not in support of blackmail, but sleeping on duty in uniform is unacceptable and a demotion of the gallant men and women of the uniform group. Those officers should be sent to the guardroom as punishment.”
The Sector Commander, FRSC, Anambra, Mr. Ajayi Sunday, said the command was aware of the photos, adding that the men had been identified and would face disciplinary action.
He said, “I am aware and their action is against the ethics of the corps; we won’t tolerate that. It is an administrative issue. Disciplinary action will be taken against them. They will have the opportunity to defend themselves during the process.”
Davido Lost His Uncle
Davido's uncle's, Sen. Ishiaka Adeleke's died today. He was a serving Senator and the first civilian Governor of Osun State.
