OAP Freeze condemns recent viral testimony from Winners Chapel, mocks Oyedepo

Earlier today, we published the viral testimony of a young lady who luckily escaped being robbed by 30 armed robbers after they sighted the picture of Winners' Chapel's Bishop Oyedepo. Well, below is OAP Freeze's reaction:

Dear PAPA, it still amazes me that despite former president Jonathan's frequent visits to your temple and seeing this same face of yours, he still lost the election... Maybe in retrospect, your picture should have been displayed instead of his, so people would have voted otherwise!
I remember you once introduced him, saying; "Please join me in welcoming Mr President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as he brings us a word from the LORD" which can be heard clearly in the video provided, available on YouTube, as released by your own church.
Instead of Nigerians seeing that as a counter testimony, rather they choose to believe the account of an 87 year old woman who no one knows... It's really unfair what has been done to the minds of these poor citizens and I implore you, to kindly set them free sir, as the onus is upon you to preach only the truth! ~FRZ

Mikel Makes History as1st Nigerian to earn over 100k Pounds A Week

Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel has become the latest big name player to join the Chinese Super League gold rush after leaving Chelsea for Tianjin Teda, Reuters reported on Friday.

Mikel, who failed to make a single appearance for Antonio Conte’s side this season, had a medical in the port city some 130 kilometres from Beijing on Thursday and the Asian Football Confederation confirmed the deal on Friday.

The 29-year-old, who spent more than a decade at Stamford Bridge, was given a free transfer by the London club and will earn £140,000 ($173,432) a week in China, according to local media reports.

After joining Chelsea in 2006, Mikel was part of a squad that won a Champions League crown, two Premier League titles and four FA Cups.

Chinese clubs have made several high-profile signings over the last month with Argentine striker Carlos Tevez moving to Shanghai Shenhua for a reported €84 million ($87.65 million).

Less than a week later, Brazilian midfielder Oscar joined local rivals Shanghai SIPG from Chelsea in a deal believed to be worth €60 million.

Mom Breaks Down, Mosque Fill To The Brim For Yassar Yaqub’s Burial Despite Being A ‘Drug Dealer’

The heartbroken mother of an alleged drug dealer who was shot dead by police on an M62 slip road broke down in tears and had to be supported by mourners at his funeral service.

Mohammed Yassar Yaqub, 28, was laid to rest four days after he was fatally shot by police officers who were investigating a report of a person with a gun.

His mother, Safia Bano, was visibly distraught and his father, Mohammed, was comforted as his coffin was carried out of the Jamia Masjid Bilal mosque in front of hundreds of mourners in his hometown of Huddersfield.

The crowd was so large that many mourners couldn't fit inside the mosque in Lockwood and were forced to wait outside during prayers on Friday morning.

Yaqub's coffin was carried into and out of the service through the men's entrance, and mourners embraced as they paid respect to the father-of-two.

After prayers Yaqub's body was buried at Hey Lane Cemetery near Castle Hill.

He died on Monday night when West Yorkshire Police officers in unmarked vehicles opened fire on an Audi car that they stopped at Junction 24 of the M62.

A post-mortem examination found that he had suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, said the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which is investigating the incident.

Three bullet holes were visible in the windscreen of the Audi carrying Yaqub, and the IPCC confirmed that a non-police issue firearm was found inside the car.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned in a three-minute hearing at Bradford Coroner's Court on Friday morning.

An 87 year 'young lady' has testified in Bishop Oyedepo's Winners Chapel church that about 30 robbers on a mission to rob her, fled on sighting the General Overseer's picture at her premises.
Winners' Chapel shared the testimony on their page but it's got a lot of people doubting how true the story is.

Muma Gee is no longer my wife, we are divorcing – Husband

Celebrity couple, Prince Eke and singer Muma Gee have decided to pack up their over four year-old marriage and go their separate ways.

Evidence that the marriage was heading for the rocks emerged recently when Eke posted a message on Instagram complaining that his wife had travelled to Abuja and abandoned their three children to him alone to care for.

The actor added, rather bitterly, that she was doing nothing in the Federal Capital Territory except hang out in night clubs in company with different men.

Reacting to the post, Muma Gee had claimed that she was in Abuja on an official assignment and not having fun as her estranged husband suspected.

But, in a recent development, the singer’s husband reportedly told a blogger that their marriage had unofficially ended three months ago.

The publication quoted Prince Eke as saying that he was no longer married to Muma Gee. Refusing to give reasons for the breakup, he said, “Muma Gee and I are separated and very soon we will be officially divorced. Let’s just say it didn’t work. We are not compatible. Talking about Muma Gee now is going to remind me of things I have forgotten. I have moved on and she has also moved on.”

To the fans of the couple, who have before now looked up to them as a shining example of what a celebrity marriage should be like, this is going to be quite disappointing.

The couple met in 2011, shortly after Muma Gee participated in the celebrity edition of the Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show. One thing had led to another and they both got married.

Neither Muma Gee nor Prince had suspected that the passion that sustained their relationship would fizzle out so soon.

In fact, in an interview with a major Nigerian newspaper published in 2015, Muma Gee had expressed her disdain for divorce. Asked what she would if it ever came up, she had simply replied that she did not believe in it, saying, “My mother never divorced my father.”

Sadly, the situation today is different. More people need to start deploying prayers in their marriage.

Why Police Raided Patience Jonathan’s Mansion In Abuja

Operatives of the Nigeria Police were said to have raided the house of Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, in Abuja on Wednesday, with the aim of uncovering huge foreign currencies allegedly kept in the building.

Multiple sources familiar with the investigation confided in Punch that the security personnel raided the house on a tip-off that huge amount, allegedly believed to be stolen government money, was kept in the building located at Igbeti Rock, Maitama, Abuja.

The operation, which was carried out by operatives of the Special Investigation Panel, headed by a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Ali Amodu, acted at the behest of the Government Asset Recovery and Forfeiture Committee.

Sources explained that an informant had tipped the Federal Government about alleged huge stolen cash hidden in the building and in three other different locations in the Federal Capital Territory.

It was learnt that the informant, who told the government about the cash in the Maitama property, had hinted that the suspect planned to move the money anytime.

Following the intelligence report, the SIP operatives stormed the duplex on Wednesday, but did not find any cash.

A source explained that the police did not know that the building belonged to Jonathan until she identified herself as a former First Lady to the team leader, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adebo Williams, on the telephone.

The source stated, “At the house, the security men said the house belonged to one Jaga, a Rivers State indigene, and the team leader was directed to call the owner.

“The security man gave the phone to the team leader and she identified herself as former First Lady.

“She spoke in pidgin English and told the operatives to go and take whatever they kept in the house. The team leader advised her to send her lawyer and she did. The house was searched in the lawyer’s presence.”

It was gathered that the team discovered the first of the twin duplex had not been inhabited for a long time.

The men, it was learnt, found some company documents, three Diamond bank accounts cheque leaves, which were taken away for further investigations.

A source said, “The second duplex was also filled with cobwebs and contained four big security safes. All the four security safes were met opened and in clean condition, indicating that they have been in use [probably the cash have been moved already].

A senior officer said a bulletproof Porsche jeep and a BMW car were found locked up in the garage.

Nigerian woman who many called barren gives birth at 40 years old

Hair stylist Kemi was called barren by people she says are her enemies and it seemed all hope was lost when she was admitted to the hospital for two months.

Today, despite being 40 years old, Kemi has given birth to a bouncing baby and is right now celebrating her delivery with family and friends.
