That Moment Policeman Uses His Clothes To Keep Abandoned Baby Warm

A policeman in China has been hailed as a hero after using his own clothes to keep an abandoned baby warm.

The newborn, a boy, had been left abandoned in a park in Chuxiong, Yunnan, Province, on a freezing winter night.

After finding the infant, policeman Wu Yu immediately took off his uniform and jumper before wrapping them around the baby.

Wu then took the baby to the hospital despite the fact that he was topless while walking in the cold weather (bravo).

The baby was found by passersby in Chuxiong's Futa Park last night, and police were immediately informed, according to local news site Yunnan.cn, citing Yunnan Police.

Wu and his colleagues were dispatched to the scene. The boy was said to be lying in the bush crying when the officers arrived.

He was said to be so cold that his lips had turned purple and his body couldn't stop shivering. The report also said the baby had kicked off a piece of clothing wrapped around him.

Upon seeing the scene, Wu took off his uniform and jumper without hesitation before wrapping them around the newborn. He tried to warm up the boy by hugging him in his arms.

A topless Wu then carried the baby to the police car which took the pair to the hospital.

After initial assessment, the police believed that the child had been abandoned by his parents.

The baby is being treated in the hospital at the moment.

The Chuxiong Public Security Bureau is said to be now looking for the baby's parents.

Chinese Firm Turns Panda Poop Into Toilet Paper

The Qianwei Fengsheng Paper Company in southwest Sichuan province has teamed up with the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda to recycle the animal's faeces and food debris into toilet paper, napkins and other household products, state media reported Wednesday.

The goods, soon to be released on the Chinese market, will be marketed as part of a ‘panda poo’ product line decorated with a picture of the bamboo-eating, black-and-white bear.

‘They're taking care of our garbage for us,’ Huang Yan, a researcher at the giant panda centre, told the Chengdu Business Daily.

Huang told Xinhua state news agency that the 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of bamboo poo that adult pandas unleash daily are rich in fibre after absorbing the fructose from the shoots.

In addition to their valuable dung, pandas also produce 50 kilograms of food waste every day from the bamboo husks they spit out after chewing.

While the process of turning bamboo into paper generally involves the breaking down of fructose to extract fibre, this step naturally occurs in the pandas' digestive tract, the paper company's president, Yang Chaolin, told Xinhua.

Fengsheng will collect the faeces from three panda bases in Sichuan a couple of times a week. After it is boiled, pasteurised and turned into paper, it will be tested for bacteria before going on sale.

Boxes of ‘panda poo’ tissues will be sold at 43 yuan ($6.5) a pop.

‘Pandas get what they want and we do too,’ Yang said. ‘It's a win-win.’

When you called the police on me and they came to the church when I had a warrant, I put the pieces back together. When you took my debit card and I couldn’t take Jeremiah out for his birthday that crushed my whole heart but I put the pieces back together; but this is more than I can bare, and I have nothing else to take. Jesus I’m all cried out. Enough is enough man. I’m tired of letting myself, my kids, and my sisters down. I don’t want my son growing up thinking that this is ok. Being in a shelter this year was the LAST thing on my Christmas list. How do I explain to a 5 yr. old that Santa is not coming this year?? Or how do I answer him when he’s asking me mommy why can’t we go home, if there’s no home to go to?? I have some tough skin and I try my best not to show weakness but I’m only human. I’m asking all of my fbf’s to help me bring this criminal thug to justice. If you know of his whereabouts please contact law enforcement and let them know. This guy intentionally set my apartment on fire for no reason at all and held me at gun point for trying to call his brother to come pick him up from my house. My babies Christmas is ruined because of this guy. Please share my post and help me get justice this time. I’ve let him get away with too much but not this time. I will not stop until Brodrick Rashaud Robinson is put behind bars on God….”

Man Sentenced To Death For Killing Employer

An Okigwe High Court presided over by Justice Benjamin C. Iheka, has sentenced a 33-year old Mr. Nathaniel John to death, for conspiring and killing his employer, Mr. Ndubuisi Chukwu.

John was, in suit number HO/3c/2014, accused of committing the offence, contrary to Section 324 of the Criminal Code Cap 30 Vol. II Laws of Eastern Nigeria, as applicable in Imo State.

It was the considered opinion of the Judge in the one and a half hour judgment that the fact of death of Ndubuisi Chukwu was not challenged by the defence.

“Although the body of Ndubuisi Chukwu was not recovered, the law remains trite that in the absence of the body of the deceased, where there is strong evidence that the person is dead, the court will be justified in finding the accused liable accordingly,” Iheka said.

The court also found as a fact that on the unchallenged evidence before it, the prosecution had proved the death of Ndubuisi Chukwu.

“The prosecution led evidence and proved that the deceased, Ndubuisi Chukwu, was seen last with the accused and the driver, Musa Hadeija, on April 29, 2013, when they left Okigwe for a business trip to Port Harcourt, in the course of which the deceased was killed,” Iheka said.

He was also of the opinion that “upon this proven fact, the law presumes that the person last seen with the deceased, bears full responsibility for his death.”

The Judge also found that the accused and the driver had a common purpose to execute, which was the killing of Ndubuisi Chukwu and share the proceeds from the sale of the diesel and the tanker truck.

“I find the accused guilty of the offence of murder of Ndubuisi Chukwu as charged, and I convict him accordingly.”

The sentence of the court upon you is that you be hanged by the neck until you be dead and may the Lord have mercy on your soul,” Justice Iheka said.

Disgraced US Cardinal Bernard Law Dies In Rome

Cardinal Bernard Law, who was forced to resign as archbishop of Boston in 2002 over a sex abuse scandal, has died aged 86 in Rome.

Cardinal Law was accused of having moved paedophile priests from parishes rather than confront accusations.

After leaving Boston he took a post at the Vatican where he worked until 2011.

The Boston diocese was rocked in January 2002 by allegations of sexual misconduct by dozens of priests over a time span of decades.

It avoided bankruptcy by agreeing to sell land and buildings for more than $100m (£74m) to fund legal settlements for more than 500 abuse victims.

The scandal prompted the Vatican to draw up new plans to combat child sex abuse in the Roman Catholic Church.
