Family Of Kidnapped Abuja Ladies Paid Millions Before They Were Released

The 2 friends, Veronica Otogo and Bisola Mohammed, and their male friend Damilola Oribuyaku, abducted around Wuse II area of Abuja, were released after their families paid some money.

Although the exact cash paid in ransom was not disclosed, a source told Punch that the kidnappers collected millions of naira from the families.

It was learnt that the friends, who were seized on January 27, were dropped off along Kubwa Road.

A family friend, Alhaja Adeola Agoro, had stated that, "...The abductors are demanding $300,000. Engr. Oribuyaku is a hard-working man who has built his businesses with clean money. He doesn’t have that kind of money.

“Please, join us in praying for the safety of these young people in the hands of these criminals. May God let us find them alive and in one piece…”

Damilola's sister, Jumoke, in a chat with Punch, said, “I can’t tell you how much they collected. I am not going to say anything about that.”
